Bo turned his attention to the Earth King and smiled, "If Earth Bending is better than I would rather do that," he said, but Jiang kept her small eyes on her plate, not even paying attention to the people around her.

Xuan smiled, she was glade her son would focus on a more, possible future. She would be more than proud if Bo became an Earth Bender and would be more than happy if Jiang grew up to be a respectable young lady, suitable for the husband her and her own husband had already planned for her to engage.

"Your highness, it is getting late, prehaps I should pardon myself and my family for the night," Jiang looked at the Earth King and with a bow she conveyed that she meant no disrespect. "Jiang is young, a small child such as herself needs her rest, I hope you under stand," She waited for a final dismissal and than she could head home and as much as she enjoyed the Kings comapny she felt it was time to be within her own walls.

His Majesty, the Earth King nodded. A proud and triumphant glimmer in his eyes at his gentle nudge towards Bo.

An earthbender may you be, casting his blessing at the boy. Airbending it may not be but you can still achieve much and many great things with such a gift.

"Indeed you may be excused," obliging Xuan's request for pardon. Himself turning to the setting sun before noting the darkening of the sky. Active as the woman's daughter did appear, and was for much of the day, she no doubt would likely be unconscious sometime before her arrival home if not soon after.

"I understand quite well," he grinned. "Though I may not have a small child of my own," he paused and turned to Bosco. Spreading its paws on the table and licking every morsel of food left on his plate that his tongue could taste. His snout wet with soup broth.

"Sometimes I think I have a child of my own nonetheless."

Xuan noted what the King meant and she smiled as she gave a slight nod of her head, "Everything under ones care is precious and needs constent work," She looked at her own children and though of the work she had to put into their growing so that they would become strong respectable people in society. "Thank you for inviting us here today, it was more than an honor for me to be in company for even a single day," And with that she lifted Jiang who was covered in rice and other morsels that she would have to clean from her before the girl could go to bed.

"Come, Bo," She said holding her hand out to the boy, he stood obediently and went to take her hand, but before he did he turned to the Earth King and bowed.

"It was an honor to be in your presence your highness, I give you my word as a Yen that i will become a strong man to serve you," and with that he turned and the family was escorted from the castle and a smaller group of soldiers escorted them all the way home.

His Majesty watched as Xuan Yen and her children were slowly escorted down the palace steps. Their guard surrounded at the edges by silhoutted, emerald clad lantern bearers that kept pace. "Her children have such a full life ahead of them," the Earth King turned to Bosco.

"Just like you, Heaven and Earth has much in store for them," scratching behind the Grizzly Bear's ear. "Much possibilities, many experiences and great potential."

"But I guess we all must have patience to see what will become of such things, yes Bosco?" His highness' musings were met with a low and bored roar from the sleepy eyed Bosco.

"You're right, Bosco," his majesty agreed. "Such things are always revealed as early as tomorrow, which I guess should be greeted soon enough. Your bedtime is close at hand," scratching behind the animal's neck before turning around back into the palace.

And if I am not mistaken, with the coming tomorrows, the Earth King gleefully mused to himself. Someone's birthday is fast approaching.
