Toph gritted her teeth in irritation at the water tribe teen, what was his problem!? Did he think of anyone but himself?! Poor Toph, dragged herself all the way out here to help their sorry butts and what did she get? Abused and carted about like a little girl. Then they patronize her for not hopping aboard the loony express to avatar land or wherever it was they were headed, she didn't up for the week long trip, only the day package and it was over. Her arms crossed with her fingers grabbing her arms in a silent display or aggression. She wasn't about to piss off a giant creature that may or may not have a taste for little blind girl.
Dully her body angled towards Aang, she wanted to tell him straight off to take a hike, that she could take care of herself, but like a shock it hit her. There was still the problem of her parents and what they would think. What was she supposed to do about that...? Still she knocked his hand out of her way and stepped past him saving face and keeping sure she was above him in one manner or another.
" I'll come, but were stopping in Gaoling." Her foot pulled back flat against the ground and she pushed her arms to her sides before pushing them up then out. A small pillar formed under Toph's feet from which she could get herself to the bison when she was finished she allowed it to crumble beneath her falling under her feet just as she stepped onto the saddle. Perhaps there was still some use in this fools errand.

Aang slowly retracted his hand as Toph opted to get on Appa's back by herself. Her issues with accepting help from others were plain to see, and for a moment Aang had to wondered exactly what her parents were like. Did she act this way around them too? And what did she need to do in Gaoling?
These questions danced around in his mind until he heard Katara calling, "Aang, we need to go!" It snapped the young Avatar out of his thoughts and he quickly hopped back onto Appa's head. Within moments, he scooped up the reigns and signaled his bison to take off with a "Yip-yip!" The giant fuzzy beast kicked off from the ground with all six legs and flapped its mighty tail, lifting the four of them into the sky.
It wasn't long until their flight from the city was noticed by the Fire Nation occuppying forces, but by that time they were well out of range of any artillery. After a short discussion with the others about their heading, Aang veered Appa South and the group set their sights on Gaoling.
