As the boy gave a silent and timid nod, Sunil returned a wide, warm smile, then lowered the earthen pedastal back to the ground and grasped the boy's small hand with a gentle touch. Leading him out of the alley and onto the busy street, Sunil's height soon proved to be an advantage. Standing at least half a head higher than others in his vicinity, he squinted his coffee-colored eyes and gazed about the place. With his lengthy hand as a makeshift visor, he soon spotted the very noblewoman who claimed the boy as her own, the same little girl close by her side. Looking down at the boy, he nodded and said; "I found your mom. Let's go."
With the boy led behind him, Sunil mowed his way past the marketplace denizens, all while keeping a firm grasp on the boy's hand to ensure he didn't run away. However, he soon let go of his hand entirely when he met up with the boy's mother. Letting his arms drop to his side, Sunil smiled at the noblewoman as her son ran up to her. "Here you go. All safe and as good as new."
Crossing his arms over his chest, he looked at the happy family scene that would surely ensue. Such a nice sentiment, though he was quite fond of his own solitude so as to not seek a wife of his own. Slicking back the loose strands of his hair, Sunil continued; "There is no need to reward me. I'm sure you've been through enough."
With a wave, a smile, and a bow, he disappeared into the crowds. Despite his cheery facade, he made a point to head straight for the city gates. Sunil knew he needed to leave the city - now.
