Yasu Al forced herself to relax. After the woman - Jailing - vocalized her obvious exasperation at heading back to Tachi Dai and the man - Reed - seemed to agree. The man gave her a quick look over before looking away once more, and Yasu turned on her heels. Smiling brightly at the woman and the man, she waved her left hand in the direction she and Taka had just come from, "Shall we?"
Like that, they fell into step. Yasu walked beside Taka, with Jailing and Reed along beside them. Yasu had been wondering about Taka. He had been silent through this whole thing, forcing Yasu Al to talk. And, mind you, Yasu was terrible with words. She was more of the quiet type - although if placed in a situation where the choices were, one; fight, or two; talk it out, she would have chosen the second choice.
Violence wasn't worth it. Words were powerful things - they could bring peace, spark love, and become art. But they were also very dangerous - they could start a war, cause a fight, open a debate, anything. If placed in the wrong hands or used badly, words could destroy a world. One syllable at a time.
Finally, Taka spoke. It was like music to her ears - she hated awkward silences. "So, where are you two from anyway?"

"Oh.....Lochan." Jialing would mumble out the corner of her mouth, not exactly proud of her home town. Yeah, she had left her two brothers and parents to get away from her smothering mother and from the dying town. Once home to a proud shrine of an Avatar's whose name had long been forgotten (perhaps Lochan was the name), Lochan had become a city of dilapidated houses, strained families and a constantly shrinking population. Jialing had very few friends growing up. She really only considered her brothers, Goro and Daichi to be her play mates, along with her father Itsuki who had always encouraged his only daughter to tough it out with her brothers. Jia's mother on the other hand wanted the girl to stay inside, keep her skin pretty, and to learn housewifely arts. She only succeeded in teaching the girl tapestry weavings, but Jialing hadn't touched a loom in two years. She'd had also received a poor education, being taught just by her parents and then learning all she found useless in her two years traveling about, lending out her various skills in ways she had to, just to get by.
"Ya know.. I was just guessing you were Fire Nation to freak you out a bit. Have a little bit of fun." She rolled her head towards Yasu, grinning at her with a playful, smug face that one wanted to just smack off of her. "Never expected you to give up so easily and not protest your identity. Must mean that you aren't as bad as some of the others.. Maybe you really DO know of a top secret organization that uses tea and pai sho tiles for forms of communication." Ah, Jialing.. the conspiracy theorist.

"Down the way." Reed stated answering the previous question. He wasn't about to say any more. Reed sighed under his breath. " So she really didn't have any idea what she was doing.... I feel so gullible right now." Reed looked up at the sky as he really had nothing better to do. He started to walk along side of Jialing and Jin. He wasn't deep in thought, per say, just thinking. . . deeply. The girl seemed like.... a pacifist. And the boy's a little off. What's with the random laugh? Kinda creepy.
Off in the distance (rather about 3 feet to his left) Reed heard Jialing talking about something that couldn't possibly be real. What if it were? If some of the world's greatest minds, heroes, and heroines combined power and took it all on for the greater good. Reed thought a laugh, "Sounds like a picture story Ting's working on."

Taka was a bit surprised to know that Reed lived just down the way, but his mind was really shadowed by Jialing's smile (which he wanted to slap off her face). He grimaced (unbeknown to Jialing, because she was behind him) as she talked about why she had thought they were Fire Nation people. It really pissed him off that she would go off on some wild gambit just to do that, because he had really been scared of losing his life. He sighed, and cast a sidelong look at Yasu, before turning back ahead, slinging his bow and arrow over his shoulder. He didn't need them.
He was trying to think of a way to tell them about the Rebellion without totally ruining the secrecy, because they certainly weren't cut out for it. A girl who couldn't shoot, and a clumsy boy who babbled a lot. The dog? Maybe. He was the most impressive of the lot, actually. Taka had a lot more respect for him than the other two as well. Dogs had that sort of regal look about them. It looked nice.
Taka looked down at his hands a moment. What WAS he going to do? It was a hard decision. He looked over at Yasu again, as if asking, "How are we supposed to do this?" He didn't know how or where to begin, or even if they shouldn't make something up, because if they spilled, it might not go over well. He sighed, and then looked forward again.
They were nearly at the city. The ruined walls could be seen from the distance, and the houses that were destroyed or damaged could also be seen. The one thing left standing (and it was not untouched) was the Inn, which rose into the daylight rather blatantly. It was just sticking up like it didn't belong there. Taka sighed. "Well, here we are. My lovely hometown of Tachi Dai. Although as you can see, it's a bit... uh... out of shape at the moment." He managed a weak grin, and then looked over at Yasu. "We should head back to the Inn. Hopefully, Dad's back there, and we can... uh... tell them about ourselves." He stumbled over his wording, not knowing exactly how to phrase what he said. He continued walking forward, awkwardly. Why did two annoying people have to come out of nowhere? He groaned inwardly. The day hadn't started off well, but it hadn't gotten any better either.

"Alright.. Alright.. We're back in Tachi Dai again. You can stop with the "welcome to" speech." Jialing snapped, making a face as she crossed her arms across her chest and looked out at the hollowed out city that was beginning to build itself back up. She had just BEEN through Tachi Dai and did not need to have to listen to it's history again.
She walked forward down the low hill of the path, snapping her fingers through the air, hands up over her head, as she walked. "Okay, Joke over. Let's go, Reed..." Yeah, they had just taken them back to Tachi Dai. Sure... some secret group headquarters. She rolled her eyes, looking at them like "You honestly led us back here? Losers." She shook her head, tapping her thigh. "C'mon Jin."
The dog however, as always, knew more than Jialing, and he narrowed his eyes at his mistress who was acting like a fool. He stayed next to Yasu's side, his shoulders at her hips. The dog looked towards Jialing like she was an idiot, and one could actually see him rolling his eyes as he walked off with the girl and the boy they had encountered.
"Hey.. Hey now! Jin don't leave me! C'mon Reed!"
[And So.. let's end his horrible thread with Jia chasing after them all..]
