Her blue eyes went wide as he began walk away and her bare hand sparked with small flames unexpectedly creating a orange and red glow on the blue snow. A surge of fear and confusion traveled up her spine making her body want to get away from the flames. Fire was evil she made it, within some twisted reasoning she was afraid of herself. The young girl stepped back caught with her boots in the deep snow tripping her with enough force to launch herself backwards into the snow with stream coming from were her hands hit the frozen ice crystals, instantly turning them into water and boiling it before her internal temperature dropped back to normal. Small burns on her bare hands from where the boiling water hit.
Wincing she got up clumsily and made for the cave where her mind told her she’d be safe. Having bending powers without discipline was unruly as any bending master would tell you. Acting like nothing was wrong would be impossible now. Warm tears streamed down her eyes as she swiftly made her trip slipping and nearly falling more than once.

From time to time, he would look back to watch the young lady running off into the mists of the night. Taartoq knew the girl wasn't returning to her dwelling. He only hoped she wouldn't get into trouble beyond repair. He mulled over his decision, letting his mental hand slap him over and over for his foolish choice. He could have led the girl home, into proper supervision, and his conscience would be at rest. But, no. He had to assume she meant she was heading home. He sighed deeply, slowly wishing and praying for his concern for the girl pass on and die, and all he wanted to do now was quickly return home.
Quick strides entered his steps, ambling across the packed ice walkways of the city. Due to simple landmarks in the city, he would find his way home easily, just in time for dinner; a whole roast arctic flamingo, basted in eel juices and garnished with fresh seaweed.
He had a good feeling about the next day to come, but fate may have spoken contrary to the slim, long-haired waterbender named Taartoq...
