Hello there.
My name's Renee. I'm not a proper member here, and I actually only registered because I wanted to contact the mods. I don't think I'm breaking any rules by doing this, but please let me know if I am.
Basically, I am an art student, and I need to draw. I need to draw a whole lot in the next week or two, as a matter of fact. However, I'm out of ideas, but I really like drawing avatar characters, and I'd rather draw OCs than canon Avatar characters.
So basically, I'm offering to draw people's characters. There's really no catch. Just reply to this, link me to your character profile and if possible provide me with a brief summary of what you feel an accurate depiction of your character would be.
I'm not asking anything in return. I just want to draw. I'm also not promising I'll get through everyone who posts, but I will certainly try. =)
Once again, sorry if I am breaking the rules, and I hope some people are interested in drawings.

Wow, for real? What a kind soul... Then i would be happy if you give a try on Teiú (i need a pic of him to do a banner but my drawing skills are awesomely horrible). Here it is - TeiúIf you read it and dont understand what im saying i can do a new explanation of him (it would be cool as i would improve my profile) and if you draw him and it is too diferent of what i imagined than means i really need to rewrite it. But hey, thanks |

I'd like to see an example of your artwork, but I'd also love to see one of my characters drawn by you. ^^ His name is Taartoq, and he's a 23-year-old waterbender from the Northern Water Tribe. Instead of making you read through his entire profile and all his outfits, I'll post the essentials of his description here. Sorry if it's a little long, but I like being descriptive: Taartoq has a lithe build at a height of five feet and eight inches. His is a physique no one could rightly call intimidating, with his shallow chest and narrow shoulders coupled with a lack of muscle mass. Naturally slender, his figure is a healthy one, not appearing overly bony or malnourished at all. A light muscle tone is evident in his limbs and midsection, but subtle curves at his torso and hips add somewhat of a feminine shape to his slight frame. He has lean, nimble fingers and long, spindly legs ending with small feet. He has a triangular face and fallow skin, granting him a complexion seen as fairly commonplace amidst his people. The pupils of his narrow, hooded eyes are colored a gentle cyan, sitting beneath low-set eyebrows and amongst his high cheekbones. He has a high-bridged, slightly rounded nose jutting from his face along with a pointed chin, and his lips are shapely and full with a soft coral-pink tint. His facial hair grows in slowly and sparsely, but his face is always clean-shaven. His thick, slightly wavy hair is dark, an near-black seal brown color. Almost all of it worn loose, trailing all the way to his elbows, though the sections of hair at his temples are pulled back and tied behind his head with a periwinkle ribbon. He has shoulder-length bangs that part to the right and frame his face, and two thin braids are present behind his left ear with another behind his right. He wears a robe colored a deep, rich lavender gray with lavender trim. Its hem ends at his knees, and the garment buttons up the front with a row of lavender frog buttons (knotwork buttons) all the way from the neckline to the waist. This has a high mandarin collar and long bell sleeves, and a stylized image of a flying snow crane is embroidered in white thread into the left side of its skirt portion. Tying around his waist to keep the clothing in place is a sash, primarily a muted indigo with a wavy periwinkle pattern along the bottom half. He wears this robe with royal blue pants and slate gray moccasins. His jewelry is comprised of a pair of ivory hoop earrings and a choker that settles around his neck's base (and over his collar). The choker is made from cylindrical silver beads each spaced by two round indigo-painted ivory beads, and a pale blue clouded glass orb hangs from its front. Tying at the top of one of the small braids in his hair, he wears a deep brown leather strand that has indigo ivory beads and a white feather hanging from the end. As for his pose, draw him waterbending or something... |

Ha! I doubt you'll catch anyone complaining about you doing character portraits. Anyway, I think it would be neat to see your version of my (newish) character Kiku. Profile - Click!Short Description: Kiku is a herbalist's/healer's apprentice, and is a very shy kind of girl in both personality and appearance. She has a soft, oval face, with warm brown eyes, and pale lips. Her hair, a dusty brown, is usually tied back in a tight, low bun near the base of her neck. She is built very frail, with small, delicate curves. She is Earth Kingdom, so she wears mostly green of course. Kiku is dressed rather simply with a soft, pear green yukata-style garment wrapped around a thin, sleeveless shirt of a much lighter, almost white, shade. The neck line comes to a point at her collar, and the yukata is short, only falling to a little lower than the hips, and is held together by a thin obi, tied in the back, of a darker shade; however, Kiku wears pants, the same jade color as the belt, underneath the short yukata. Most of the time, she's found in her garden, doing something with plants or perhaps reading. Of course, more can be found in the profile! And thank you so much! |

I hate to pile you up with too many requests at once, but I figure i should probably hop in line before it circles around the block... I would love to see your interpretation of either of these two chars of mine. Aden is a Water Tribe warrior, seen pictured in my sig and in this reference pic here.Iikagen is my other, and he is an exceptionally random and exceptionally talented fighter from my own little sub-culture, The Igni Islands. Okay, I can’t help but get in on this action. You can do both or either of these characters (click the names for profiles): Zilong:[/color] A hulking, slightly crazy, 42 year old firebending warrior who is constantly charging into battle with his guan dao. Basically, he’s physically just like in the profile, but for the picture I’d like him to be without his helmet. Also, his armor is basically like your standard Fire Nation armor, but with some spikes welded onto the shoulders for ramming into people. Muqali:[/color] An energetic, adventurous 26 year old Sand Nomad from the Si Wong desert. The only information you might want outside of the profile is that his outfit is based on the Sand Nomad outfits we saw in the episode “The Desert” and his weapons are a pair of black iron tonfa, which rest in holsters at his side when he’s not using them. The rest can be easily found in his profile. Thanks ahead of time. Your art is really quite impressive. |
