Desna settled her hands behind her back, something she did often enough but her eyes did catch Aden releasing his neck, she didn't think much of it, they were almost at the wall and it seemed they would be leaving in favorable terms. It was something she was quite happy with. Especially considering the way she sometimes managed to rub people the wrong way. The giggling tapered down to a comfortable silence, she was walking along next to Aden and it would be curious to see through someone else's eyes, how would they look? Perhaps like good friends, it was her favorite conclusion.
Sighing happily she stretched her hands upward, linking them and pulling both over her head. It felt nice to relieve some tension in her back. Once she finished and settled down she found herself again looking At Aden's neck, well... what could be seen under the fur. " Is your neck sore from the snowball fight? I'm pretty good at neck massages you know." Thinking it over again she assumed he's turn it down, perhaps in his house but out here it was cold and she was about to leave, no sense putting off when she could be halfway home when she was finished with him.

Aden turned his attention elsewhere as they made their way down the stairs and through the canal-crossed pathways between the city proper and the Wall. Desna didn't seem to be starving for conversation, and so he didn't feel guilty in just observing the goings-on around them. The rest of the city seemed like it was still fairly active.
As they neared the wall, however, she mentioned his neck and he raised an eyebrow her way curiously. "Hm?" he hummed questioningly, at first unsure of why she would bring the subject up, but then he recalled that he'd been holding it earlier. "Oh, no, I'm fine..." He waved away her concern with a slight gesture of his hand and smiled. "Maybe some other time."

He seemed to turn down her offer, she knew he would, there wasn't much surprise or bad blood about it, she smiled and rolled her eyes making into a bigger deal than it honestly was. Letting out a dissapointed sigh she looked away and shrugged her shoulders meekly" If you say so.... Cash that in later, you won't be dissapointed."
Turning on her heels she found herself in front of Aden with the wall and the lift behind her. Pikatti skittered off towards the lift waiting for Desna so they could get back. He knew there would be treats when the reached home, there always were. " Thanks for walking me, it was very polite of you." It seemed that they were going to part ways but of course Desna being the girl she way all of a sudden she tossed her arms around him pulling him into a friendly hug.

"I'll keep that in mind," Aden responded when Desna advised him to remember the offer. Truth be told, he couldn't really imagine himself taking her up on it any time in the near future, and for more reasons than just just burn. He wasn't ashamed of it, and he figured at some point Desna would likely notice, but he'd never had anyone lay their hands on him in such a familiar way.
When they eventually reached the wall and Desna leaned over to hug him fairwell, Aden wasn't really caught off-guard. She had pulled that move enough times by now that he half-expected a sudden embrace whenever they crossed paths. The young warrior leaned forward slightly to meet the hug but stayed fairly upright and distant.
"No problem," he said in response, "Wanted to make sure your ankle held up." Aden patted her on the back once and then straightened up to try and slip out of the hug. "Have a safe trip," he added, and he tossed a smiling nod at Pikatti as well.

She let him get an arms length away and a thought shot through her mind like a frozen rain drop. Looking at Aden was odd, for a moment and then it was gone, her hands slipped from the boy and she stepped away from Aden letting a smile return to her face. It was an odd feeling that was still over her, like she wanted to do something but what.. she wasn't too sure.
" See you soon!" It was easy enough to say, she knew she would and honestly it seemed like she wouldn't have to stalk him or break her leg anymore to get some time to hang out with him. For a grumpy guppy he was really a pretty nice guy. Desna waved to him and turned around plodding off after Pikatti. She had a long walk back home still. Both her and her polar bear dog made their way into the lift and slowly she watched Aden turn into a tiny spec on the ground. The lift opperator stopped the icen elevator on the top level and as usual Desna smiled and thanked the man before walking back towards home.
It gave her time to think, she was spending more time with Aden then ever, she was really enjoying it, he was fun and it was odd that she was even thinking about it as much as she was. Her cheeks turned a darker shade which she attributed once again to the cold. She breathed out and watched her breath drift away into the air as she and Pikatti walked off toward home. Maybe she was just starting to become a little closer with a friend, something about it didn't seem right though

Aden lingered around for just a little while until Desna was on her way up before turning and starting back home. He walked swiftly and arrived home in short order. His thoughts wandered along the way, drifitng between his snowball fight with Desna and some other relatively important matters such as the latest expeditionary war effort. It struck him as a little odd that he could consider the upcoming mission without feeling the need to involve himself. Granted, Hissun had said that there were enough volunteers already, but as little as a few months ago he would not have let that stop him at all...
By the time he entered his house again, Aden found his father was back from work. He barely lowered the doorflap behind him when he was greeted by the older man.
"Ah, Aden, how'd it go?" his father asked, smiling slyly and holding a cup of water in his hand.
"Ummm... Good?" Aden replied hesitantly, unsure of exactly what his mother had told her husband while he was out.
"Did you get a kiss?" he asked, and Aden's ensuing groan prompted him to keep guessing. "A hug? A handshake? Fist bump?"
"Dad..." Aden said exhasperatedly as he walked across the den towards his own room. "I just saw her up to the wall and said goodbye."
"All the way to the Wall?" his father asked, recoiling a little in surprise, "Man... If you're really against going out with this girl, you certainly don't know how to show it."
Aden cast his father one more glance before stepping all the way into his room in order to change into some more comfortable clothes. His father chuckled to himself and then looked over to his wife, who was smiling as well.
"Leave the boy alone," she said quietly, "I don't want you chasing this one away." In response, her husband merely drank from his cup and chuckled once more.
"Hey, it's my fatherly right to harass my son about any potential girlfriends... This may be the only time I get a shot at this."
