Hotaru sighed and nodded, she had demonstrated that she was indeed a fire bender, he had no choice but to believe her in that aspect but now what was next. She was revealed, no one was chasing her with spears and knives like she imagined they would. But the matter still came that she didn't always have her fire under control, she'd need to learn. It wasn't like there were teachers around every corner, even the water bending masters would come up with little should they attempt to under take the task of rearing a young fire bender. She pursed her lips together nervously. What was a recently orphaned child to do.
Her heart sank, she came back to the biggest underlying problem, that her parents were still gone, she didn't believe that her aunt and uncle would be too happy to have her back after this morning. Carefully she wiped away her tears ending up like a drowned rat in many aspects. " What am I supposed to do about my parents.. about my firebending, I don't want any more stupid words!"
It was frustrating, Hebirei was only speaking figuratively, he didn't give her a straight answer, like, ' run away to the firenation' or 'ask someone to help her with her problems' , only to keep living. Her eyes closed tightly as she screamed and flares of fire came off her small pale fists puffing and then smoldering. Her eyes widened slightly as she realized she had done it again, her eyes pricked with new tears. Her life, her controll, her everything was crumbling around her.

“I can’t believe this,” hearing Nati's voice in his ear.
Chamir's head slid upon his shoulders toward Nati, "That my prophecy is true?" Whispering in her ear. "Or that it may be worst than we both perceived?" Was his swift retort.
Maybe it was Nati. Or maybe it was just his thought of Nati, only seeing her beside him through peripheral vision. But maybe that tension he believed he felt from the woman was real enough.
In which his remarks were probably not the least bit helpful.
Young fool, Chamir thought. As much toward's Nati's brother as his own past. Decisions made by either of them that brought nothing but consternation towards the women in their lives. For him, his mother. For Kian, Nati and likely his own mother.
And once Saghani had his way, maybe leaving the North Pole with much revelry in departure of an ambitious annoyance than a brave hero, would Kian be at his side aboard the ironclad?
Chamir set a comforting free, mittened hand atop Nati's hand crooked into his other arm. Chamir did not turn to look towards her. Instead, merely placing one foot forward and paused there as if frozen in midstride while he awaited her command.
"Shall we give chase?"

“I am Kian Qatichii.” He answered, inciting her name proudly, the Qatichii family had been growing rich from trade in the recent years. He looked at Bora Gan, clad entirely in metal, and that he didn’t match up. Kian didn’t question why Saghani had chosen him, only to do as he was told, if it brought about a better future for his family and Tribe. Kian smiled to Saghani respectively, setting off to walk beside him.
“Both.” Nati finally admitted. “I-.” She felt lost for words. “They’re both determined now.”
Chamir suddenly patted her hand, and Nati felt comforted by it, she gave a gratefully smile in return. Her heart started to beat a little faster. Chamir made to go forward.
“Yes, let’s give chase.” Said, a grin rising on her features. “I’m sure Saghani would be delighted with our presence.”
“I suppose at least my mother can brag about this for years to come.” She commented, keeping her pace slow as not yet to hint Saghani was being followed. “I guess I should have my ears prepared then.”

Hebirei was seriously troubled, and, due to recent events in his own life, was starting to grow impatient, and even irritable. She was beyond reason, beyond control, and she needed something drastic to get her to listen. Hebirei was already becoming irrational, the many events of the last year crashing down on him in this moment, of all moments. The last straw was seeing the fire. He saw the pure, uncontrolled, raw, destructive power, and lost it.
With a quick sweep of his hands, he had brought up four sections of ice, and bent them each onto Hotaru’s wrists and ankles, effectively pinning her to the wall. This was merely a precaution to prevent any possible accidents with that fire of hers, but despite this, it still pained him greatly to do it. Losing his temper, which seemed to be a greatly increasing occurrence for this teen lately, he stood in front of her and with a stern voice, addressed her, “Fine, you want me to tell you what to do about your parents? GRIEVE. It’s what we all do. You can’t bring them back, no matter what you do. I’m not going to sit here and lie to you about how it’s going to be easy. It’ll probably be a horrible experience. Is that what you want to hear? Because it’s all I have left to say to you.”
He then started to walk away, with tears growing in his eyes, threatening to fall. With every stride away from the girl, the tears grew, until they overflowed, streaming down his face and landing on his parka, adding more to his tear collection. Bitterly he scolded himself until he could stand it no longer. Without a look back, he raised his hand and brought it down, melting the ice which had held her to the wall. He then continued to walk, wishing that it would all just end. He just really hoped that Hotaru could come to forgive him…

Her eyes widened in fear as she was forced back against the wall and frozen in place. She struggled but only weakly, she was too frightened to do anything else. Staying still her eyes quivered with tears as she watched Hebirei. Nothing cam out of her mouth, she didn't know what to do, she guessed he didn't either. Her stomach felt like it had a gaping hole in it, nothing could fill it. Logic said that would pass but things like where she would go, where she would sleep, they haunted her.
Hotaru's head cringed and she cowered against herself as much as she could without the use of her appendages. She was so afraid he'd get tired of her crying and run her through with an ice spear. He'd be doing the tribe some good to get rid of her though. Her legs got weak and nervously she looked up once the yelling stopped. He was walking away, then the restraints came off and she fell ungracefully to the ground. For a couple seconds she just laid there, hoping something broke but she sat up, fit as a fiddle, she was only emotionally damaged. She kicked her legs to push herself against the wall of the alley way. She couldn't go home, she just couldn't. Not knowing what awaited her made it all the more difficult to make up her mind about.
So with a heavy heart she continued to sit long past the time that Hebirei left her sight. Her eyes closed and she felt numb, finally she decided what she'd do.
She'd do nothing, it was cold, she wasn't properly dressed to be outside, even firebenders could freeze to death. Her parka was on her small form but she only had her sleeping clothes under it, boots but only a single pair of socks, freezing sounded more attractive than drowning. Slowly her legs came up tucking against her chest, her arms looped about her legs and she sat. She'd sit until something happened. Tears came now and then, a couple coughs lacking in fire, a bunch of sniffles wracked her but all and all it was quiet. Curiously she wondered if anyone would look for her. She hoped not, doubted it anyway. It took an hour or two but finally her world went black.

Bora Gan looked upon the one called Kian. From the way the person stood, Kian looked like a warrior. Bora however wondered if Kian had the confidence of a warrior.
“When we go to the war council,” Bora said, “I’ll let you and Saghani do the talking. I’m not much of a talker.”
Bora also noticed a female right next to Kian. She had a blue coat and braided hair, much like most of the other women in the Water Tribe. He bowed down to her slightly out of respect. Her blue eyes reminded Bora of the color of the sky back at home when he was with the tribes.
“I would suggest however when we go to the war council to preferably have volunteers that have any fighting experience. Warriors, brawlers, hunters, even fishers would do.”
The fog of his breath loomed out of the mempo covering his face. The top of his helmet was starting to frost with the wind picking up again from earlier. He crossed his arms as looked at the shorter individuals, “However, we still must leave at least a couple of veterans here to guard the city as well as trained up and coming soldiers to take out place one day. We can’t leave anything unsecure.”
He looked at the giant ship once more before he was going to follow Kian and Saghani to the war council.
“However, I kind of got the feeling that you knew that already.”

Saghani noted Kian’s name as he walked. He was eager, proving more useful by the moment. Bora Gan was slightly different. It was with some disappointment that Saghani realized that Bora Gan wasn’t entirely sure what the operation was about. One of the advantages of the mission was that it would require a relatively small force, leaving the vast majority of the Northern Water Tribe Forces back at the home front. This wasn’t a tiny village with a handful of warriors, this was a city, a civilization. Still, whether Bora Gan understood this was of little importance. He just needed him to be an effective lieutenant…and speak before the war council, which for some reason he was not keen on.
“Manpower is not a problem, but talker or no, you will have to speak to the council,” Saghani replied to Bora Gan as he walked. “Speak as you did to me, and from experience.”
Several minutes, later, they were at the war council’s chambers. It took a bit of convincing, but the guards eventually let them in, to the surprise of the council inside. After all, they had just seen Saghani but hours before. There was some muttering among them, and one member spoke up.
“Saghani, we are still deciding on your plan,” the aging man said. “No more of your words will convince us.”
“That is why I don’t intend to use my own words,” Saghani retorted, then gestured to Bora Gan. “You are all aware of Bora Gan, a veteran Earth Kingdom commander? He has fought the Fire Nation more than any of us. He knows that only aggressive moves can stave of their brutality.”
Looking at Bora Gan with an expression that said “go on,” Saghani fell silent, intending Bora Gan to elaborate for him. The words were meaningless out of his own mouth. Bora Gan had to speak and vouch for Saghani’s plan, or the whole affair would be pointless.

As they walked along, Nati didn’t know what to exactly talk about with Chamir, the weather wasn’t such a thrilling subject, the Siege was something she wished to put behind her, and her worry was taking up enough of the conversation. She watched the name known as Bora Gan stride up ahead, faintly amazed how tall he was, he looked as out of place as the Fire Nation Frigate.
Alas, they couldn’t go any further, guards only allowed Kian, Saghani and Gore Gan to pass. Nati waited outside the door, the guards had not let them past any further. She scratched the back of her neck where it itched a little, and smiled to Chamir.
She clasped her hands together, face lined a little with worry. “I wonder what our favourite man will do next.” She muttered.
“Anyway. enough of me and my boring worries, tell me some more about yourself, all I know is your name and where you come from!”

Hebirei found himself wandering the streets of Shai yet again. What he had done to Hotaru was bearing a heavy weight on his conscience. The way he felt now, he almost hoped she’d never forgive him. He knew he would probably never forgive himself, at the very least. Nothing seemed appealing anymore. Maybe I should head home… no… Nu-Doru will no doubt be there… Maybe I should find Haukea… no… she’s probably forgotten me already… Maybe I should go apologize to Hotaru… no… she probably hates me by now… Maybe I should go up to the healers and help out… no… I couldn’t help anyone like this…
He couldn’t remember the way back to the docks for some reason, but he didn’t care. After about ten minutes of idle wandering, he ran into none other than Nati and that other man she was with once again. He trotted his guilty feet up to her and greeted her, not even attempting to hide his sorrow, for he knew he would be unsuccessful if he did, “Hello, Nati.” He threw an unenthusiastic wave in the mix, in an attempt to act normal, which would, at this point, be an impressive feat.

You. Chamir gestured. Two insulting fingers pointing directly at the eyes of one of the larger guards. Me. Stabbing a finger at himself then proceeded to back away towards Nati. The guard was given one more parting gesture interpreted as someday.
I can take you, Chamir continued looking at the guard. A wry, thin lipped grin as he held his chin up. Drop the spear and I'll wrestle your limbs off one by one.
Chamir assumed as much of himself in his braggadocio displayed less for Nati as it was towards the insult of being blocked and wanting to feel some humiliation by calling Saghani for aid.
"What more could there be than living by the moniker 'Chamir Chandrakant Osahar of the Southern Water Tribe,' eh?" Tilting his head and turning his back from the guards. Granting Nati his undivided attention now.
"Well I guess there's also 'he who hath travel from South to Earth to North to Earth to North and soon back to Earth,' I could attribute. Yet one day I rather add 'back to South' in there once I've come full circle as it were," hoping an index finger through the air upon naming each destination.
"Approving enough start?"

‘Oh dear....’ Nati thought, Hebirei didn’t look too happy, if not, the young man appeared a little down. She glanced at him as he approached, his shoulders slumped in way only depression could induce, his young face filled with too much burden. She felt pity for him, the worst she had to worry about at his age was trying to get over the pond incident, not a siege and other things.
“Oh, Hebirei, have you taken her home already?” She asked, wondering what happened to the young girl, and yet pushing the whole thing to the back of her mind. Hebirei was responsible enough. “I’d like to introduce to you 'Chamir Chandrakant Osahar of the Southern Water Tribe,' who may just go full circle one day.” She chuckled.
“Yes, you earn my approval, but you do lack the finer details.” She admonished in a playful way. “’Nati Qatichii of the Northern Water Tribe, who’s gone a round the city too many times’.” She tried the name out. “Definitely too much of a mouthful for me. I think Healer Nati will have to do.”

Bora Gan looked upon the council. Their aged faces hide the scars of war upon their faces. They have seen many battles, whether it was man or beast. They may know best of fighting, but this is a new type of enemy. An enemy with a lot of cunning. Bora must let them know.
“Their brutality is without equal. Even my warriors don’t match their brutality in war,” Bora explained, “But subtle attacks will fair little. The Kyoshi Warriors, being cunning as they are, have been captured. They have a new commander. Some sort of royalty. Regardless, we must take action.”
Bora walked closer toward the elder council.
“The frigate is a good idea. We could load it up with warriors, and use the frigate to pass enemy waters,” Bora explained some more, “Once they find out it was a trap, they will be easily taken care of. They are more limited out at sea since we will have water benders. Also, with a frigate that size, we will have many warriors over theirs. If they attack the ship with their own, it will take a while and lots of effort to sink it. By the time they try, we would counter attack.”
The helmet was frosting over as he explained himself, “Once we hit our landing point, I will have the advantage since I know the terrain well. Not to mention we could rendezvous with the rest of my Battalion, which would increase our forces.”
He glance over to Saghani as he continued to explain.
“Do we have any questions as of yet?” Bora asked gruffly.

As per usual, Saghani’s face was flat and expressionless save a small movement from his left eyebrow as Bora Gan began to talk about strategy. It seemed he thought there was going to be a land based portion of the mission. They would need to clear this up later. The mission would be almost entirely at sea, disrupting fire nation transport ships and attempting to cut the Earth Kingdom occupation forces off from their homeland, at least partially. Still, the elders looked relatively impressed with Bora Gan’s enthusiasm, though one was quick to speak.
“You said this would not take many warriors, Saghani.”
“It will not,” Saghani replied. “What the general means is that the frigates size will make our numbers seem more. Few can act as many.”
There was a brief pause as some elders discussed things. Others merely thought. Saghani glanced them over, and after a few moments of silence. He decided it was time to send in his next “witness” as it were. He glanced at Kian and gestured towards him with his good hand.
“Further, what men we need are eager and able bodied,” he said. “Among our younger warriors, there is a wish to strike back at the Fire Nation. They feel as I do. If you wish to look weak and cowardly in their eyes, then by all means, hide behind your walls and wait for us to be attacked once more. If not, then we must strike. Simply ask, if you wish confirmation.”
There was a pause, and then another elder spoke, this time towards Kian, “Is this true, warrior? Are you and your peers are so eager?”

Kian nodded to Saghani, offering a brief prayer to the spirits that he not mess up or stumble over his words. His maya blue eyes only beheld a small amount of his panic; he tried to appear calm and confident. Wetting his lips momentarily, Kian began to speak.
“Our Tribe is strong, and we have adapted like the water we bend, but we cannot keep on flowing away or around our adversities.” His tone wavered once or twice, the passion only beginning to seep into his voice. Kian’s face was full of expression, open and feeling. “I believe we need to make a move in this war, or else there will be nothing left of our Tribe, we have lasted a 100 years and two Sieges, it shows our patience, now it is time to show our strength. Many of my friends, fellow warriors are restless, I share their feelings.”
“We have family and friends to protect. I lost an uncle, cousin, and nearly my sister. I think it’s time we ensure our survival.” He added, not really sure or caring if the personal touch was needed, Kian’s passion and enthusiasm could get the better of him, just as it could with Nati and her ‘mothering’. Kian smiled uncertainly to Saghani, unsure what he would make of his small speech.
He bowed respectfully to the elders, and hoped this would sway their decision; he was thirsting to do something, anything

Hebirei allowed himself to study the man, he seemed as though he was angry at the gaurds... they must have tried to get in and were denied... Chamir Chandrakant Osahar? That's a mouthful... He didn't really care much anyway... He looked between the two, they seemed content and happy, and he was extremely envious of them. He tried not to show his envy, too, but he wasn't quite sure if he had been successful. She had brought up Hotaru, of course, but he couldn't bring himself to say a word about it, he was feeling too guilty and angry.
He inwardly sighed a sigh of relief, for she seemed to let go of the matter, but it still lingered for him. He looked over to the man, so he was from the South? He silently wondered if the Southerners had to deal with all the customs and troubles that plauged him so. He was able to smile a bit as he imagined Shai, only with plenty of male healers and female warriors and people marrying out of love instead of money and arrangements, and most of all, a warless world. Such are fleeting thoughts, he figured as his stress-torn face resumed the look of depression it had moments ago.
"Hello, Chamir Chandrakant Osahar, I'm Hebirei Dangan, one and only male healer of Shai City." There was no pride in his title, just a hollow explanation.
