Read had a proud smile on his and bent down to pet the dogs head. "See, I'm a good person," He said looking to Jialing. Read looked at Jialing's arm, "Ouch, your arm's pretty beat up." Read looked at the fire spending through out the area. "Tell you what. There's really nothing left here for you unless you like fire and ashes. But, You and your dog here," Read patted Jin's head, "Can take a ride with me to the next port. You could clean your wounds," Read coughed, "Not to mention the one you gave me, and I can drop you off at the port." Read suggested. "But that's only if you want to. Otherwise I'll just give you some things to clean your wounds and I'll be on my way. But it's up to you." Read said pointing to the fire then back to the boat and back to the fire. (NOTE: Here's a few sketches I drew so yo can see what Read's ship looks like: (The ship its self. I based it off the pirates' ship from the water bending scroll) : img319.imageshack.us/img319/3016/shipsketches9un.jpg(And the inside map of it ): img504.imageshack.us/img504/4634/boattour0cm.jpg They're not very good, but I just wanted to give an idea about what it looked like )

"Boy, you forget I make my living off the fire nation..." Jialing scoffed, her head tilting to the side just as a strand of hair crossed her vision. A sly smile crossed her face. "..Or anyone willing to pay..?"Her eyes sparkled and her cheeks lit up. As her back realigned, Jialing took a step or two forward, accepting each with a swing of her hips. Her eyebrows rose and curved upward as she pouted her lower lip, subtly. "..Maybe Jin is right.." She extended a hand to the pup, kneeling before the golden colored dog. Her fingertips scratched the crown of his head as Jin whined, his tail thumping on the sand. Rising to her feet, Jialing gave Read a small smile, reaching out with her fingertips to trace his jawline in her coy way. "..I'm always willing to earn my keep, at least till the next port.." It was all a game, and one that Jin knew well for he had seen his mistress pull the same stunts before with lonely men looking for some company. While Jialing was certainly not the prettiest girl, covered in dirt and grime and often worst off than the dog, she could swather them in attention for a few hours. Then.. once they were drunk or asleep, whichever came first, the duo would run off with gold in their paws, figuratively of course.

Read gently grabbed her wrist and took it off his face and let go. "Well you're in luck. I'm in need of another sailor," He said smiling, "Sadly my other two I had before ate some kind of poisonous fish," Read looked to Jialing, "Not a big loss though." Read said. "And don't worry. I'll let you earn your keep," He mocked. Read laughed as he grabbed a small dragger out of its sheath from his belt. He lifted it up in front of his face. The he tilted the blade so sun light reflected in to Jialing's eyes. "But try to steal from me...." Read said looking at Jialing, "...And I'll skin you alive before you get a chance to run."

"Oh ho ho!" Jialing laughed heartily. She did not have that annoying titter of a soft giggle most women her age had, but rather the deep throated belly laugh of a woman three times her age who had spend far too long in the taverns. Again, she waggled her eyebrows at him as she leaned in, her chin just over the blade of that knife. She was daring him. "We've got ourselves a winner, Jin." Her lips curved into a smirk and Jialing backed off. She lifed a hand into the air as she sauntered backwards from Read. Her fingers snapped. "Come on, Jin! All aboard!" The two would leap aboard the ship again, Jin with more ease than Jialing. Swinging along the shrouds, Jialing walked along the top edge of the hull on the Port side. "...So lets see.. a Jib.. A main sail.. and a mizzen mast. A Basic design but suitable for sailing along shorelines.. I doubt you cross the massive ocean." Jialing turned and came back along the underside of the shrounds, her fingers wrapped tightly around the grid of rope as she leaned back on the hull railing. "I'm Jialing, 'the runeless wonder'. "

Read slipped the dagger back into its sheath shaking his head. "That's what they all say." Read said. Read smiled as he also jumped aboard. "That's quite a title you have there. Were you given that name, or did you just make it up for yourself?" Read laughed. "Name's Read, by the way. No great title, though." Read laughed.
Read pulled the anchor on board and the three drifted in to the ocean. "Alright Jialing," Read looked to the dog, " And Jin here, there are some things you need to know. First thing, you can be rude, stupid, smart, happy, sad , whatever. But I'm paying you ten gold pieces a day while you're on this ship so I expect my moneys' worth, got it?" Read said walking up to the wheel, "Also, if you go below deck, turn right, follow the hall down until you reach the second right, follow that down and open the door on your left, that's where you'll be staying."
"Just open all the doors to find everything, or come to me, alright?" Read tied the rope to the railing, "Now come on." Read said going down below deck.

Jialing shrugged, not answering his question about her title. It was a title she had given herself when she had finally grown sick of the benders she had to deal with in her travels. While runes weren't necessarily related to bending, runeless sounded better than bendless. Patting her hand to her hip, she summoned Jin to her side. Read, eh? The young woman smirked downward at her dog as the ship slowly drifted. Her attention came back to him as he started speaking again, but of course.. with that look of utter laziness and boredom. Why, Jialing even lifted a hand to her lips to stifle a yawn. ..He did say she could be rude. Listening, her eyes grew wide at the sound of 10 gold peices.. "Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang." She muttered once more to Jin, who only pinned his ears back and whined. What was this kid? Some sort of noble? Still amused and amazed at the payrate of 10 gold peices a day, (Imagine the food they could buy!)The two followed the man below deck. Lines, Sails, Port, Starboard, Bow, Stern, Sheet In, Sheet Out, Tack, Jibe... Ships.. Bah! Too simple.

Read stopped as he reached the bottom of the stairs. "This room, "He pointed to the left, "Is my room." He pointed in front of him, “That is the study,” He turned right and continued walking down the hall. He pointed to the two doors on his left, “Bath room and storage.” He pointed to his right, “Kitchen,” He pointed right down different hall, “Down there to the right is where you can stay.” He pointed straight for ward, “And over there is the Landry room and some extra bunks.” He walked a little for ward and opened the door on his left, walking in. “Come on.” Read walked in to a room with a desk, a pedestal, lots of jars with herbs in them, three chairs, and a window. “Take a seat,” Read said opening a cupboard.
