A small sigh escaped Saghani’s lips. Why oh why were this pests not going away? He set down his quill and slowly looked up at them. His gaze was flat, his lids not fully open. It made him look very disinterested with the pair, which was the truth. The man, judging by his outfit, was not even a soldier, just a random civilian, and the little girl seemed too young to even be working in the healing huts. What on earth were they doing here in the first place?
“Very well,” he said, his voice flat and emotionless. “I’m sorry your daughter does not posses a spine. Now leave.”
Without bothering to wait for a reply, he picked up his quill, dipped it in an inkwell, and again began to write. The man could blather on all he wanted, but Saghani was done with them. He wasn’t going to apologize for doing nothing. His words had not been offensive at all. True, his tone was fairly cold, but Saghani had always thought that was a ridiculous reason to get upset, anyway.

Shona watched Saghani lean back and respond in cold distain to respond.
“Very well,I’m sorry your daughter does not posses a spine. Now leave."
Shona frowed deeply, that was insulting. Not that Hotaru was thought to be his daughter but the fact he accused of cowardice. What an ass. Shona's voice was dark and low, like a rolling sea at night as he responded back at handless man.
"Hmph, I don't mind the fact you mistake Hotaru as my child it's flattering even, but only spinless one I see is the pathatic man in front of me, who is so wrapped up in himself that he has to bully and pick on small child. You should have died in battle...pity you're only maimed."
Kokomi winced oh great deja vu...Daddy why can't you be...tactful? Though Kokomi as she heard him respond harshly to him. True Saghani was being rude to both, but Shona was only going to start a fight. She walked up behind him just incase something like that did happen, so she can stop it before it starts.

Now it only seemed to be getting worse the tension was rising to the point where it was noticeable even to someone in the hall aperantly. More than anything she wanted to run and leave the room but her little legs were firmly grounded.
The adult closest to her had become somewhat of a perminant barricade for the slew of verbal assaults the amputee threw at her. It wasn't her fault his hand was missing, it wasn't his fault his hand writing looked like scribbles. Again her stomach clenches with an urge to release and get herself out of the situation but she shoved it down.
Her eyes fluttered between the mutated man and Shona not knowing what she should be doing. She was scared and wanted to leave still, neither made a move to exist, in fact another person came in. Interrupting would be rude, she knew that much. Her mittened hand rubbed her teary blue eyes pitifully ridding the droplets of water from her lashes, the only things holding the downpour back.
Hotaru opened her mouth to attempt a retort that would smooth things out but she had nothing. After all, she was just a child, it wasn't as if she could do anything. Not like he was off base with his accusation either, she was a weirdo and a freak.

The man’s response had not been entirely unexpected. Typical pointless anger and accusations from atop some kind of moral pedestal. It wasn’t even clever, just petty blathering. Oh, how biting to mention the loss of his hand! Maybe the veteran of the two biggest battles for the Water Tribe in the last hundred years would be brought to the brink of a mental breakdown because some fool he’d never met before wanted him dead? Oh…wait…that was stupid.
His rather harsh train of thought aside, Saghani kept himself perfectly calm, simply going about his business as though the man had never spoke. Or rather, he did so until he recognized the sound of a third pair of footsteps enter the room. It could only be a healer. No one else would be hear.
“Healer, kindly do something about this noise,” he said without looking up. “I’m concentrating.”
He could only hope the man wasn’t a total idiot and would leave with the girl when asked to. There was no point in picking a fight here. He wasn’t going to get an apology for nothing. Of that, Saghani was certain.

Shona clenched his fist, why can he rile him or at least talk to him. It frustrated the fisherman that this solider was so arrogant enough not to bother to even talk to him. Grumbling Shona felt a hand on him.
"Daddy leave him alone, there is no need for a fight." Kokomi lead Hotaru and Shona out of the room. Grumbling herself about Saghani's request.
Everyone was out of the room. When Kokomi closed the door and placed a sign "Quarentine" upon it, Shona snickered. "There, now one will even dare to bug him." Kokomi said wiping her hands. She smiled at Hotaru.
"Sweetie let me fix you something to drink ok?" Shona glared at the door and frowned. He disliked Saghani more than Taartoq. He hated arrogance. "People like him are better off alone anyway." He said coldly walking into the main lobby.
What an anal retentive asshole Thought the fisherman to himself

Hotaru greatfuly allowed herself to be led from the room her eyes darting back at the man curiously. Was he so angry normally or was his missing hand the cause of his bitterness. She didn't know but a small part of her felt pity for him, the majority was just a great release of stress at being away from him. He'd made her poor little heart quiver in fear, as soon as the door was closed she set a hand over her chest letting out a small sigh. At least that was over.
Curiously her eyes fluttered up to the sign, "Quarantine" She repeated to herself with no voice, only her lips moving to form the word in her mind. It was one that she didn't see often but it meant he was dangerous and is put alone in this context. Wouldn't he get lonely though? Perhaps she should ask her uncle about it, the man was scary though... maybe he should be left alone. Still as she contemplated that she could see that he wasn't violent, he didn't move to get up or even fake striking someone. What if he was just lonely, maybe he needed some company.
Placing that thought aside she smiled weakly at the young healer her bountiful energy not quite up to par yet. " Yes please." Her head pulled back into the fur trim of her shirt as she watched the older man who helped her once more walk away. She wanted to say thank you, for sticking up for her, but instead she looked down, seeing her parka and the toes her shoes, her posture wasn't the best. Now a few things bubbled in her mind. A way to help the scary man, a way to thank the older man, and someway to get a back bone to do it all with. If her mother was here she'd know what to do... It'd been months since she'd seen her though.

Saghani did not even bother to watch as the bothersome trio left his room. He continued to right for several moments after they had left, but suddenly paused. He was sick of this. The healing huts and the nosy people in them; his handwriting failing to improve as well as he’d hoped; his family “obligation” that kept coming back to him; he was sick of it all. Frivolous matters, all of them, even the loss of his hand. Ultimately, they were only important because they hindered him from attending to the real issues. The Northern Water Tribe was at a critical point. No, the entire world was at a critical time. What was done within the next year, perhaps even the next few months, could very well change the entire course of history, and he had to be at the vanguard for it. Before he could, however, he had to deal with all these frivolous matters.
His eyes flitted to the wrappings around his right wrist. He could not see the wound, but it honestly felt much better. Once it was assured that it would remain sealed and heal the remainder of the way on its own, he could leave. He frowned. That was too much time. In the next two days, if he was not released, he would simply leave on his own. That resolved, he turned back to his scroll, and continued to work.

Shona was so flustered that not even tea could calm his nerves.
"Daddy don't let his words upset you, or his additute bother you." Kokomi smiled up at her father. Shona sighed she was right no use by getting so frustrated.
Drinking more tea he gathered his things and hugged his daughter. "We just need a few more things before the wedding, and we're ready." Kokomi blushed she heard that. "Yeah you're right I'm looking forward for to it Papa." Shona look down at Hotaru and smiled.
"You know, if you want to you're welcome at mine and Nezumi's house we have sweet biscutes and tea there too." Kokomi watched her father leave the hut.
"See you later Hotaru, Ko-baby."
Shona walked down the narrow canals and streets. Crossing bridges he headed back to his modest house with a pair of antlers on top. He sighed as he thought of Kavik, he didn't know where that came from. All he knew was that he missed him. A lot. He would have been married now. Instead he followed his heart and was dead some place in the Earth Kingdom.
Sighing he entered his house to do some work with buffaloyaks before going to bed.

Hotaru held the cup of tea she was given carefully trying not to drop it or break it, she watched Shona and his daughter converse curiously. It seemed the nice man was ruffled by the amputee, she couldn't blame him, he was rude and very upset. Still she felt a little bad for him. Not like anyone asked for bad things to happen to them. Hotaru could sympathies, her eyes looked down at the tea her thick lashes hiding her forlorn look. She let out a small sigh sipping the drink only to pull back a bit, the tea was barely luke warm, she pouted liking hot liquids over warm.
Her lips pulled into a small pout, it seemed the adults were busy enough. She looked from the right to the left quickly, no one was looking her way, her palms heated the cup by contact warmed, soon enough the steam from the tea began to grow and Hotaru quickly blew it away taking a sip from the heated liquid. She had the cup drained before anyone noticed. Her tounge sneaked out licking the remains of the hot tea from her upper lip. Shona finally noticed her and Hotaru attempted a small smile nodding to the older man happily. " Thank you!" With a free hand she waved to the man.
Quickly her smile faded, she looked up to Kokomi handing her back the cup and thanking her again for the tea. She trotted back over to her aunt and some of the other healers. There were a lot of things for her to think about. Hopefully her parents would be home soon, she missed them a lot.
