Miss Ukaleq accepted the items graciously, putting so much elegance into a simple gesture, Nati felt astounded by the delicate beauty of Ukaleq. Her smile seemed to soften up her face, and bring a sort of light into her eyes. Nati wondered if her neck ached from keeping her eyes faced to the floor so much…
“The pleasure, and honour would be all mine to help your Mother.” Nati spoke softly, and perhaps a little strongly, she couldn’t bear the thought of people suffering. Holding in check her pushiness is such a matter, Nati knew she would have to wait to be invited, if her offer was taken at all. She suddenly frowned when Ukaleq revealed a little about her home situation, her brow dropping a little, her azure eyes clouding with concern. “I wish your family the speediest of recoveries.”
Nati, with her hands still clasped in front her, leant forward into a bow, by polite etiquette allowing the conversation to drop and Miss Ukaleq to leave. The young healer smiled at Miss Ukaleq, and felt herself beginning to turn, felt something drop in her stomach.
“Seeing a loved one suffer is, awful.” (The blunt word fitted perfectly). “I have a brother, I didn’t care if I was hurt, and I only wanted to make sure he was going to be fine.”
Nati saw that Ukaleq looked tired and weary, and almost invited her to sit with them and lighten her spirit, but she seemed to be in a hurry, detaining her would be the worst thing in this case.
“I’m going to the Spirit Oasis later this evening. I’ll pray for your brother and family.” Nati said, she would have reached out to rest her hand on Miss Ukaleq’s arm if she were more familiar, but she held back on this particular comfort.

Padma offered a smile to Ukaleq as she entered, as well as a greeting. Still, she felt almost as if she wandered in a dream. Thoughts of the child she bore would not leave her in peace. But perhaps she didn't want them to. They were a happy distraction. She let out a contented sigh, letting her attentions slowly flutter back to the topic at hand. Oh yes, she had heard of the injury of Ukaleq's brother. She and her husband had been invited to his wedding and the news that it was postponed had filled her heart with dread concerning his safety. "My family's prayers are with him as well. With all of those brave men who have been injured." Though her father was too old for war, two of her brothers had been fighting during the siege and it again struck her how lucky she was that no one she loved had been hurt. She silently offered a quick word to the spirits of both thanks for her good fortune and for the speedy recovery of those who did not share that good fortune.

Misui sighed a bit, it seemed she wasn't about to slip into the conversation, not that she was upset, the change in shift was almost here and she had so many things to do back home, she needed to waitress tables and make sure her sister wasn't getting herself into trouble. Her blue eyes looked up at Nati offering a small smile and a bit of a wave before she got up. there wasn't much to say to Padma of Ukaleq, they were too top rung for her. She pushed onto her knees and from there up to her feet. With her hands folded politely over her dress she swiftly went to the wrack that held the parkas for the excursion into the colder outer world. Slipping hers on her smoothed her bun down gently casting a look back to the table of gossipers, there were a few small circles that started up, she wanted no part in it. Another small sigh escaped from her lips as she walked to the exist. Hopefully they wouldn't tear her to pieces once she left, in so many ways, women were like vulture crows.

"Thank you, Healer Nati.. Mistress Padma. I'm sure my Father and Brother will appreciate such sentiments. My mother as well" She spoke softly as she held the bundle close to her, unable to manage a proper bow to them with it in her arms. She smiled at them, a gentle shy smile before she turned to make her exit. She paused however as a little woman in drab colors left with hardly a word.
She turned and glanced over her shoulders at the other women, her braids brushing her face as she raised her eyebrows, sending a subtle message across the room to the others. But that was all. She sighed and pressed her lips together again as she waited.
After a moment's breath, she followed the other woman out, her ercu-colored skirts just barely brushing the snow and the ice as she walked, her boots making small crunching noises on the snow that had fallen last night. She held the package closed to her chest and her torso, pressing flat the sliver of fur that hung from her ivory ornamentation flat. She had held the Gondolier up long enough.. she must hurry back to him.

Nati caught the look Ukaleq sent to her and Padma when Misui had left so quickly, only giving her the briefest of smiles before hurrying out quickly. In all her years of working in the Huts, Nati only recently felt herself understating the difficult political world of the noble women. And gossip, it was like a strong medicine , fine taken in small doses, lethal is taking too much. In her eyes this wasn’t harmful gossiping, genuine catching up with friends. But Misui had seemed to be so quiet, Nati wondered if she should maybe call in some time and see how she was doing since the siege had ended.
“Good day Miss Ukaleq.” Nati smiled once more, and wondered if her jaw would fall off with all this smiling and giggling. She’d forgotten how much it ached to smile a lot. Nati watched Ukaleq disappear from her line of vision, back out into the city which was slowly getting busier. With a small sigh, Nati sat back down and wrapped her hands around he cup. Her azure eyes looked a little worried for Ukaleq’s family, but being a Healer meant you couldn’t let yourself get too attached…
“I think they should pull through fine.” Nati said brightly, reaching out to pick up her previously abandoned blanket. Finding the needle and re-threading it, Nati started re-hemming the edge quickly but neatly. The young hair shifted her weight in the chair to get comfortable.
She wasn’t sure if she’d heard the shriek, and then some giggles from the end of the hut where Jerra should have been sleeping. An exasperated look crossed Nati’s face, and it very much appeared that their gossip time would be cut short if the little girl would not settle down.
“Sorry, excuse me a moment Padma.” Nati smiled, placed her sewing neatly on her chair and went to the corner to tell Jerra off. She had a feeling she would be running backwards and forwards for the rest of her BAD!.
