Judging by the girl's disappointed look, Iikagen could tell that Tali had likely given up on her questions for now. He really wasn't in the mood to give a history lesson. The igni tilted the bowl of rice up to his mouth and swiftly shoved the whole thing down his throat with the etiquette of a cow-pig. An ample amount managed to decorate his face and chest while a few grains even clung to his nose.
By the time Tali seemed to try and continue the egg conversaion, he was tossed the bowl aside and was standing up with the remaining roll in his head. "J'ep..." he said, groaning slightly with the exertion of getting to his feet, "Not'ing good ever came of eggs. Except cake. Now I'm going to go find a nice spot to piss." Iikagen stuffed the roll quickly into his mouth to avoid any further conversation and then started walking out of the camp.
The part about having to use the bathroom was true, but he also had a few other reasons for leaving. Now that he was well enough to be moving around (sluggishly) he could finally take a moment to inspect the aftermath of the fight with those cavalry. The Igni was curious to see if they had bothered to try and track him, or if their bodies had even been recovered yet. Either way, it would take him much longer to return than just using the bathroom, but he didn't care to much if the girl thought something happened to him.

Her eyes followed him, her cheeks tinted a little red, he was pretty blunt. It wasn't something she generally had to deal with. Crude humor was for children and drunken men, Iikagen most certainly wasn't a child, and he didn't appear drunk. The flush went a bit deeper thinking of the events the previous day brought, he most certainly wasn't a child. Getting to her feet with her masks he found there was little else to do aside from waiting, her muscles ached from sleeping on the ground, perhaps she should stretch or get a bit of exersize in.
She'd placed the mark back in it's previous place, then getting down to the ground she began to do push ups. One, two, one two, she took in a breath and released it in secession, the most she'd never done in a row without stopping was 258 it was on a rainy afternoon in the dojo, she was bored and couldn't run outside. After the effort her arms felt like jelly for the rest of the day, she was rather proud of it, she was just silly now that she thought about.
Now and again her eyes glanced up in the direction the man left, it didn't look like he'd found a 'nice spot to piss', not that she knew how long it took. It just seemed like he should be back by now. She'd switched the push ups for curl ups in the meantime, attempting to focus on the feeling her curled abs clenched and relaxed, only a few weeks ago a healthy layer of baby fat was clinging stubbornly on her body, now it was almost all gone save for her face and some on her legs. Tali almost missed it, they made her feel soft and squishy, yet the traveling had made her body lean and fit, her arms thinner though covered in small ripples of muscle. She loved it, the feeling of muscles moving, should she be left alone she'd enjoy nothing more than to hold her fingers to the opposite knuckles and feel the way the tendons contorted when she moved her hand. The human body was facinating.

After a short while of walking through the woods, stopping halfway to use the bathroom, Iikagen eventually arrived at the edge of the trail that cut through the forest. As he neared the pathway, he took care to be a little more stealthy despite the lack of anything hinting at the presence of other people. The Igni backtracked a short ways down the trail until he came across the site of the battle from two nights ago.
The bodies were gone, apparently dragged back to town by the marks in the sand. A few splotches of dried blood darkened the soil in some places, and he eventually found the remains of the feathers he'd scattered before leaving. There were tracks around the area that he gave a half-hearted attempt to interpret, though he simply assumed that the last man had managed to survive and crawl back to the town.
That assumption wasn't entirely comforting, considering that left a loose-end that Iikagen would have preferred to tie up. Granted the wound in his chest was nothing he couldn't recover from, but he didn't like that fact that the rider had drawn any unanswered blood. He would have loved a rematch where he wasn't burdened by maintaining the charade of a demon spirit, where he was free to really cut loose. But regardless, there were more men in that cavalry unit than just the ones he fought. If they came after him again, chances are they wouldn't be so foolish to do so at night. In his current state, that was a fight he couldn't win.
Iikagen made a final walkthrough of the section of trail that he frequently used for ambushing. He removed some of the knotwork and roping in the lower bushes that he'd used for traps and distractions and also removed his extra shortspear from the tree in which he'd stashed it. With the coil of rope over one shoulder and the spear in his hand, he made his way back toward the camp. On a whim he picked up a stick off the forest floor, broke off a straight section about 7 inches long and began whittling the ends down into sharp points.
About a half hour after he'd left the camp, he walked back into the small clearing with his recovered items and a newly fashioned instrument of pain.
The Igni didn't even bother to greet Tali or announce his presence, and instead wandered straight over to the cluster of stolen packs and bags. All the while he hummed and clicked a beat reminiscent of the music from his home island.

In the mans absence the work out did a bit to clear her mind, she thought about Iikagen, mostly blushing, not like she'd seen many people in their birthday suit, that stuck with her, but she mulled over the way he acted, thinking about the wanted signs and posters, was she doing the right thing? She was harboring a criminal, at least she'd helped him out in her own way. She doubted there would ever be fliers with her face on it, she didn't do anything wrong, more often then not she was crusading for right. One more chance, and if he messed it up she'd turn him in for sure.
With that decided all she had to do was wait for his return. She continued going through reps of push up and then sit ups, a bit of practice filing through stances, paying close attention to her foot work. There was no real way she could tell how much time had passed, he was gone for a long time, she knew that much. She wondered if he'd even come back, a pain shot through her heart and mind, what if the soldiers had friends, what if they ambushed him. It was like an image in her mind, she could see the tall man lying in a pool of his own blood, like the man she watched die, she shivered, worry set in, she'd feel horrible if that had happened. Time passed, the worry turned into anger. She continued her push ups, her movements jerky with her venting anger.
She shouldn't care about a convict, thats all he was, a man on the run from a law, he was ingreatfull.
Tali glowered as the man re-entered the camp, she stood up giving him a stern look, she was not amused that he just made off for so long. Did he think it was cute to just leave her. She brushed down her shirt and then watched him move towards his stolen loot, who was that callow and rude, he could at least grunt at her if he didn't want to talk. Her hands found their way to her his, her arms a bit sore from her weigh being forced on them earlier, she imagined she'd put on weight, though she was thinner than ever, it hardly made sense to her, not that any of it really concerned her. She wasn't one to worry about her weight, in fact, aside from keeping her hair clean and manageable she rarely kept up with most feminine constraints.
"What took you so long?" She followed behind the taller individual, he seemed to be well enough to walk around on his own, perhaps she should shank him in the throat and give him an excuse for his rude behavior. Her slippered foot impatiently tapped on the dirt floor, she could just hit him if she wasn't worried about her stitched, why was she even worried about him at all? He did nothing nice for her, no words of thank you, nothing but giving her grief. She didn't need to deal with that.
Her lips pulled into a scowl, and she punched his back half heartedly, all out might relieve some of her pent up tensions. Oh how she wanted to hit him. " It's been over an hour, and I was getting worried."

Iikagen slipped the rope off his shoulder into a pile on the ground and placed the spear down after crouching in front of the collection of stolen goods. He made swift work of dumping out their contents into one big heap before isolating what he determined to be the most spacious travelling pack and depositing that one at his feet.
The Igni largely ignored Tali's first question, not even dignifying her with an answer. Instead he simply began loading up the pack with the rope, a spare pair of clothes, and a few erroneous items like the tin cup and shaving razor. However, the light punch to his back did manage to catch his attention. Not like it was painful, but Iikagen certainly didn't appreciate the girl's nerve.
Turning his head around as much at his neck would allow, he raised and eyebrow at the Earth Kingdom girl. "Didn't seem dat long," Iikagen, sounding nonchalant. He turned back to his front and scooped up one more item into the pack before standing up with shortspear in hand and the pack slung over his shoulder.
He walked across the camp to another tree where his other spear and the Tengu mask were placed. Iikagen packed away the mask and lumped the spears together in one hand. Turning around once more he finally affored Tali with a straight look as he asked, "Joo got some money?"

Feeling rather put out Tali followed his movements, did he think she was some piece of trash he could ignore and push around. She wouldn't settle for that, he was horrible, why did she even help him. Her arms crossed in distaste and she huffed, a sharp intake of breath left her cheeks mildly puffed her eyes pulling into a glare. A simple thank you would make him seen like less of a jerk but not one word of thanks seemed to be in his vocabulary. He wasn't civilized at all, was it him or was it his culture she couldn't decide. He didn't even want to talk about his culture, it was unfair, to leave her with so many unanswered questions.
His comment only lead her glare to turn darker. She let out her breath and looked away no longer looking at him, she felt a tight knot form in her chest pulling tighter and tighter around her heart. It made her want to punch him again, this time not so nicely. He was assembling a pack, did he think he was well enough to get going? He almost popped a stitch when he was stretching, where was he going to go? Perhaps it wasn't him who was stubborn, just his gender, men were head strong and stupid. What ever it was she was getting tired of it.
At last he looked at her, coyly her hazel eyes met his gold ones, she pouted a bit and took a few strides closer to him, it looked like he was really getting ready to leave, that made it worse. Her crossed arms had slipped down her torso, making it more look like she was hugging herself than asserting her annoyance. " Why?" It seemed like a fair enough question, especially if he wanted to get going, a new bunch of questions popped up, where was he going, what was he going to do? Honestly she doubted he would tell her anything.

Why? Was it really necessary to ask? Iikagen raised his eyebrows slightly in an expression of mild surprise of the response. Considering his behavior in the past and the fact that he was packing up supplies for travel, there was no way she couldn't realize her was leaving. Maybe she just smothered the obvious with some hope he had a bigger emotional investment in her than the toe jam he picked out of his feet a half hour ago.
"Eh, I'll just check myself," he said, heaving out a long-winded breath as he meandered over to her bag. He squatted down over Tali's pack and reached into it, almost immediately landing his hand on the little container of salve that she had used on his wound.
"Ooh! I'm taking dis too," he commented, smiling pleasantly at the Earth Kingdom girl before pocketing the container. With his other hand, he then pulled out a pouch that jingled with a few coins. Before she could protest, he dumped out a few silver pieces and stood up. "I'll let joo keep de rest," he said, giving her a wink. "No need to t'ank me."

Storming over the girl picked up her bag glowering at the man, he had some nerve, she almost felt like crying, could someone in this world be so cruel? She'd always thought every cloud had their silver lining but Iikagen only seemed interested in his personal goals, was if fair to step over someone like this? Sure he may not owe her any favors but she still was displeased with him. His chest was bruised and cut up, she wouldn't beat a dead horse and punch him there. Just because he was being crude didn't mean she'd stoop to his level.
Without a word she grabbed the worn wooden staff she left rested against a tree shrugging her bag over her shoulder least he attempt to take anything else. Not much processed through her head when she extended her arms intending to crack him in the skull with the staff. She was just flushed with anger. Her mind kept questioning why anyone would do something so blanetly disrespectful.
" WHY WOULD I THANK YOU!" She was still fuming, anger nearly coming off her in a visible aura. " Your filthy and greedy and rude and you never thanked me once for stitching you up or trying to be nice to you! You're nothing but a lazy good for nothing cheat!"

Iikagen couldn't help but smile at the girl's reaction. He hopped back a step and leaned his head back slightly to avoid the swipe from Tali's staff. The token offer of resistance was not entirely unexpected, but he doubted she would carry it further. Especially after listening to her little rant about his behavior. She had seen him fight, however briefly, so it was concievable she just simply knew she was outmatched but... to really try to appeal to his feelings?
"Jou're wierd," he said, offering a slight shrug. The Igni hefted the pack up a little higher on his shoulder and then started away from the campsite As Iikagen saw it, the very fact that he didn't steal everything she owned in the middle of the night and disappear without a word counted as a favor. Considering he probably could have just taken all of her money instead of just enough for a meal or two, she practically owed him!
Whether she felt like stopping him or not, either because she was a lonely silly girl, she wanted the bounty on his head, or even out of sheer spite for his behavior, Iikagen was set on leaving. He kept his ears peeled in the off-chance she decided to take this to blows and kept his spears ready in his hands. The Igni decided he was going to follow the stream for a while, heading generally Westward and back toward the area where he'd encountered June.
He still had unfinished business with that woman...
Iikagen has left the RP
