She continued to twist her wrist back and forth, putting her whole arm into it when she could get the right angle for it. Trying to concentrate mostly on that, knowing this man couldn't really get across the river with due warning... or at least one would think so.
Her gaze lifted again as he spoke, casually though something seemed a tad different in his body language for a brief moment. Maybe... well, it was probably nothing maybe he was tired from grinding that stick for a little while now. Crawdads...? She had an inkling feeling she was supposed to know what that was or... those were, but right now she couldn't think of it. She shook her head slowly in response. "No I'm just..." Wait, wait wait! She stopped her herself for a moment. If he had another impression of that's what she was doing, it'd probably be better than admitting she was stuck. She cleared her throat. "Erm, yeah something like that." Yeah, that should do.
Himizu stayed stationary along the ground, his chin flat against the earth as he looked up from the top of his eyes in a too precious way. She chose to not look to him, instead she ceased her twisting and pulled up again, the muscles in her arm tensing as she broke free from her hand's mud prison. She brought it up quickly and rubbed gingerly at her wrist, finding it all too strained and over-worked in the last little bit. That would pass though.
Washing it off poorly but importantly, quickly. She stood up, and backed away from the edge, finding small branches pricking at her back from the bush she'd only been a part in mutilating further from its original straggly state. "C'mon Proud..." The vole-tiger rose up and moved over to her leg. Her fingers came down and stroked Himizu's head briefly. Apparently on good or at least... decent terms again.
Her sap-like eyes looked back to Vu, still trying to assess him a little further but it proved hard to find any more betraying aspects from the distance. She almost felt bad, running off if he were just some average traveler especially if he couldn't hold his own. But... his physique suggested he could, probably quite well, and he was still quite the potential threat. Though she didn't mean to show it in any way her unease came out through many small things. "Well..." She spoke up a bit more remembering the distance, and making sure it'd reach him. "I should be getting back. Goodbye."
Her gaze lingered on him for a few moments longer than would be assumed, and the she turned pushing away the outer parts of the bush that were most in her way.

“Erm, yeah something like that.”
Chuckling as he mentally processed whether she was just lying, not wanting to admit she was probably stuck, or telling the truth. Hunting for crayfish but ended up stuck in the mud.
Though it was not a good sign given how quickly she washed off her now freed arm. Displeased, Vu’s lips pulled inwards as she stood up and began backing away from the river. From him.
“C’mon Proud…” she said.
Oh no you don’t! His grip on the ink stick grew a little tighter and grinding it on the ink stone with a little more force than necessary. You’re not getting away without telling me what I want first, jaw tightening while she stroked Proud’s head.
“I should be getting back. Goodbye,” she began to turn around.
He was rushing to craft a story in his head. He grinded a little bit harder before pulling his hand back.
“I’m sorry,” he calmly blurted. Momentarily dropping whatever false backwoods speech he crafted. “Marm.”
“I’m surry,” he began again, using the hand holding the ink stick to scratch his head—feigning ignorance. “Dinnae mean to come up here scarin’ ya like that. Tis might unkindly of me it is. I beg your forgiveness marm.” He ended with a big toothy, though to him felt fake but hoped it was real enough, grin. “Yasee,” chin pointing to Proud, “I was playing a lil’ game of fetch with your Proud there when I heard this animal call. He took off and I—thinking that it was his pride—went after him, hoping to see what animal he was in fact. Hard to tell under all that wet fur and all. And with my little ink kit here,” still squatting he lifted up the ink stick and stone into the air, “I was hopin’ they stick around long enough for me to get a quick sketch. And if they didn’t I’d hopefully get a good look at them to sketch from memory. Didn’t think I’d find a human to be givin’ out a rather impressive animal call now, did I?”
He gave another, yet forced, sheepish grin.
“And if you want me to make it up ta ya, well I’ll help you scrounge up some crawdads for your dinner. Won be too much trouble, I ain in no hurry be all by my lonesome. Fact ‘s been a while since I seen nother person this far out. Guess that’s why ol’ Nhat—that’d be me—Nhat they call me—of the Vo family in fact—seems a bit talkative all sudden.”
Vu inwardly sighed. Hopefully that’ll be enough to keep her here until she told him what he wanted. Hopefully she’ll take his story for what it is as well as the fake name. Using an alternative pronunciation of his first and taking a name of one of the rural soldiers he heard passed around in camp.
Shame it turned out to be a woman. If it was a man then killing would be a tad easier. Maybe, hoping somewhere in his head, he wouldn’t have to kill her. Maybe he could at least redirect away from this side of the river entirely…
But he still didn’t know if there were others with her. And that… that would only add to his predicament.

Kaijin's foot faltered slightly as it came down on the ground, she been prepared to trot off, quickly enough, but the man seemed to continue on despite her 'good-bye'. Golden eyes looked over to him again, turning at the waist slightly to make it easier. Her feet seemed poised still to leave, legs muscles firmed up for action, and just tense like the rest of her. Analytical expression watched him as he spoke one.
His story... seemed to add up well enough. He'd been playing fetch and did have the ink and stone out if not in his hands for most of the time. Nhat was it? Or so he said, she'd sworn he'd spoken better right at first, when he'd quickly addressed his apology, and despite his accent which still was not quite like ones she'd heard before, he seemed to try to being quite hospitable. Perhaps trying to get her to stay, or honestly wanting to just be charitable and social.
She, herself had not seen anyone since the last small town she'd visited and she didn't want t seem untrusting... but well, she was. It was just like that, one couldn't be too careful and normally even with her caution sometimes she still wasn't careful enough, she'd met enough bandits and simple jerks in her time that she felt avoidance was a good option when it could be done.
Nhat Vo... had she heard of that family before? She'd come to meet so many people, she'd lost track of last names, though she remembered quite a many of their first ones, or last should she have never learnt the first, but less. Definitely less of those. Secondly, what would she call herself...? Surely she couldn't go by 'Kaijin' and even less wise would be to say 'Gia'. There was no telling how far her father had pushed his name through the military by now, even without that concern it just wouldn't be smart.
Himizu pushed against her, his fur damp and cool against the bare tanned leg, her hand lowered slowly again to touch the top of his head habitually. " I..." She was still hesitant but tried to cover that up with clearing her throat again as though it were still overly hoarse from having been coughing, "I'm Kage... of the Gale family." It was a common alias she used, once scolded for it by an old woman who'd known better. She'd have to visit that woman again sometime... she'd been kind.
Her eyes had fallen slightly in thought, but she looked up again, to see him grinning, too far away to tell if it was entirely sincere or not. Would it be rude to refuse his offer? She'd never really thought of fishing around for food as of lately, maybe they'd be able to scrounge up a decent meal. She couldn't seem to make up her mind though. "I really don't want to be any sort of bother..."
Either way she needed to get her bags. Her bags. She glanced back to him, quickly. He'd seemed a bit eager to get her to stay, and now worry swirled inside of her. Had this been just a distraction so she could be looted...? It seemed unlikely since she'd stumbled on him first, but still the fact was she had some food and jerky in there! Who knows what sort of critters could have decided to ravage her stuff while she was absent. The idea of finding it all torn through and who knows what made her quite concerned.
"Oh!" She quirked in revelation."I need to check on my things!" She blurted out and hurried back the way she'd come, Himizu followed on her heels, taking the ground with a bit more ease then what her feet were along the shore again, having to hop over showing rocks and around foliage.

Damnable dammit! He mentally blurted while she rushed off for some, possibly pretend, emergency. A woman, his eyebrow twitched in anger. Why a woman!? Doesn’t she know its dangerous to travel by herself in secluded parts of land even with her pet? Just reckless and senseless! And why couldn’t I have come across a man I came across—at least he would trust me. Granted that’d be more because he’ll believe he could take me on…
Figuring this is the best he could do with his mind in such a tumult, he began wiping off the ink stick with a dry palm. Then washed off the ink on his hand and fingers in the river.
Sighing he considered himself returning to the encampment. Reporting this to the executive commanding officer and the patrol. Let them handle the matter with this Kage Gale woman. It had to be an alias—Shadow Wind? Certainly it had to be made up if not an earned nickname. But he couldn’t blame her. Her, presumably, alone here in the woods with only her pet and him a man. I guess I would’ve done the same, getting up from his squatting position.
Shaking out the cramps he was feeling in his legs he began walking back towards his satchel. Filled ink stone and ink stick in hand. Wondering whether or not to leave back for the camp or stay. Maybe it was curiosity, coupled with wanting to relax, but he wanted to know if she would return. She seemed to have left in such a manner, saying ‘I need to check my things’, more akin to as if she forgot something.
Maybe she and Proud will return in a bit, he reached into the satchel. Pulling out book, more of a stack of tie bound papers really, from within along with a brush. Amidst the torn pages that were either sent home or given away, there were blank pages and pages filled with letter drafts to be sent home or sketches and drawings.
Taking a bit of foliage for a comfortable and dry nesting he sat cross-legged. Setting the bowl-shaped ink stone filled with ink to one side, brush in hand and book in his lap he began work on a few geometric shapes.

Oh no oh no! She jumped over an old rotting stumps and delved into the trees a bit more, the distance no longer seemed so long now that she was running, but it still took a few minutes. Waving her hands and calling out "Hey get!" As she crouched down quickly to get under the tree. It was Himizu who chased away the rabbit-coon though, snapping down his jaws a second too late to get a good meal. The chubby hopper had been poking around her stuff though, trying to get to her store of travel-ready foods she had in one bag.
Sighing she sat down a foot or two away from her stuff, taking a nice deep breath, then mentally checked off that all her things were there. Tunic, sash, leathered wheels, and bags. All was in order, wonderful. Her eyes next went to look through the needles of the tree across to the other shore. The man hadn't followed or anything, and he'd not called after her angrily or anything.
She pulled Himizu's front paws on to her lap as he came back over to her and lie down. Maybe he'd not been after her, and her delusions of looting had been off as well. Unless secretly the rabbit-coon was working for him in an elaborate plot to... get her meager supplies. She looked over to the vegetation the little thing had hopped off into, Nhat hadn't picked a very capable partner. She laughed outwardly at her own stupidity and petted Himizu. He purred softly.
"What do you think of him...?" She asked, the vole-tiger yawned and slouched slightly looking up to her face when he heard her voice in that questioning tone. "Think he's trustworthy...?" Himizu rolled off of her and stretched in the bed of fallen needle before letting his legs go limp as he lied there. "No... probably not. Something seems odd."
She slouched and put her chin into her palm, "Mind you... we're probably pretty odd too."
She sat and thought about it for a while, then came to trying to not think about it, but ten minutes past and questions were still whispering in her head about the whole weird encounter. "We'll never know you know..." She mused, if we don't go back. Plus, I was kind of rude in our departure." Himizu mewed, "He's probably not even there anymore..." The feline didn't seem to care and she was growing sick of talking to herself.
"Fine." She pushed herself up into a crouch and gathered her things, sticking the maroon red tunic into one of her bags along with the sash and then putting them on, once she'd hooked on her belt in which the sheathed set of weapons hung, both pressed together in the circular pouch of leather.
Getting out from under the low branches of the tree she started walking back towards Vu once again. "Come along Hi- ...Proud." She walked through the trees more, to stay in the shade and not have to worry about the edge of the river as much now. The landmark was the scraggly bush behind some of the vegetation. She headed out, trying to be light on her feet, and being rather successful with it.
He wasn't there... sap-coloured eyes traveled along the riverside. He was back to where she'd originally found him. Writing...? Well doing something with a book and ink, if not just being there. She traveled quietly along the grass trying to be somewhat still as she moved as well. Was this a good idea? She felt uneasy worry collecting in her gut now, A little late to change your mind now... She came to be almost directly across from him, as he'd done with her and she crouched down to sit with her weight balanced on the balls of her feet.
Himizu came up and sat next to her, not wanting to push his boundaries again just yet. She waited for him to noticed her. Mentally clocking moments.

Closing his eyes ever few moments in attempts to remember a detail or two, his picture was slowly taking formation. Or at least the outlines were.
Taken by surprise at her sudden appearance he merely nodded in her direction once regaining his compsure.
Clothing herself a tad more conservatively with a maroon tunic, causing him to raise an eyebrow at the sight of it. Mmm… There also were some sort of leather pouches dangling from her hips. Seems she got the rest of her stuff all right.
Odd how she tracked him done instead of being off on his way, he thought.
A guffaw escaped from him. He had the suddenly absurd thought of her robbing him. Poor thing would be in for quite a surprise. As if he had anything worth robbing… save for his tactics scroll. And Vu would be more offended by her stealing his possible claim to fame than stealing possibly useful military knowledge if given to the right hands.
Let’s see…, he began looking up at her this time. Directly at her. Looking her up and down for moment and then went to checking off a few matters. Looking up at her then back at his book during his mental list. Shape of the eyes about right… Breast are around a cup size larger… artistic license—I’ll keep it. Lifting the brush from the paper he made an outlining stroke of her nose. Nose is a tad off, looking back at his work and began correcting the matter as best one could with ink. Lips…, which he hadn’t started yet, began making measurements and outlined the paper. He’ll detail them later, along with a proper waist measurement.
But should she be in a cross-legged sitting position or standing position? Picture-wise he meant.
Proud will dry off enough, eventually, he hoped before he had to return.
“I see you got your stuff safely, right,” finally speaking but without the fake accent. “So why come back, eh?” Wanting to directly take on the matter.

She smirked slightly when she could see slight surprise in him for a quick instant, one she imagined he didn't want to last long at all. It pleased her still to know she had come up more or less unnoticed despite her rather out in the open entrance, or at least from that bush. That bush.... She didn't care for it. Scratches on her arms and even one or two on her cheek had been its gift to her. A joint gift between it and Himizu.
She sat in her crouched position silently, accounting for the nod with very little reaction. Simply watching him... rather closely as he looked her over. He seemed... to be drawing. Her? Hopefully not, but perhaps. She reasoned it was more than plausible, and probably, the more and more he glanced up and down.
It struck her as though he was acting differently now. Though subtly, but he seemed a tad less like the sociable rural man she'd 'met' before. Pulling off the thick straps she set the two decently sized satchels to the side of her, and rested her arms along her thighs, seeming rather comfortable on the balls of her feet. Her one bag was a simple beige suede carrier you could probably get anywhere for a decent price. The second was a tanned leather satchel, a little more durable looking, with boning up it's sides and thicker leather on its bottom, to help to protect and support the contents a little more.
Her chin lowered slightly and she looked to the hard compacted soil before her, looking back to him as he spoke. No accent, syhe caught it right away. It wasn't hard he'd laid it on pretty thick before. However... it wasn't exactly surprising to her, she'd keep it under her foot for now though. Not wanting to mention it right right now. I like his words better this way, anyhow. She chuckled curtly under her breath and looked back up to him fully to answer. "A rabbit-coon was trying to eat my supplies, but yeah I got them."
Her gaze drifted off slowly as though she hadn't heard the true question. Silent for a moment in thought, but she titlted her head to the side and glanced back to him. "Well, I've never been very good at making the wise decisions. Curiosity and all."

"A rabbit-coon was trying to eat my supplies, but yeah I got them."
He nodded his head back in a grinning laugh before returning back to paint in his book. Cutely annoying rodents they are.
His head came back up once she spoke again.
"Well, I've never been very good at making the wise decisions. Curiosity and all."
It seemed that there was no accent--at least no backwoods accent--to her voice as he presumed there would be. Maybe she won't notice if he slipped at of his own fake accent. Afterall, would what she was seeing: a man painting yet having a backwoods, hickish accent... seemed rather dubious.
"Of course," nodding with a grin. "Wise decisions and curiosity are not what you would call a couple. Sure friends he may see each other once every few months or so. Anything closer--hardly ever." Stating matter of factly. "No doubt we've both are ha--have had--our share of 'curiosity and all'."
"But if you'll care to kindly indulge my own curiosity," he continued. "Ms. Gale, what sort of animal is your charming Proud?"

She brought her hands down to the ground, putting palms flat out against the ground, wrists together, helping her to balance her self a bit better still. Fingers beginning to rub absent-mindedly over the dirt there, watching as some of it, mostly dust like bits came loose. Though she watched this, and her longer bangs fell forward some more, she listened quite closely.
Letting out her own little laugh as he so matter-of-factly explain curiosity and wisdom's relationship as she didn't know. Though it wasn't his meaning she found amusing but rather manner in which he chose to explain. He'd definitely lost his guise all together now, speaking in such a way, but still... she again liked it better. He was using a bit more dignity in his speech now, and so long as he didnh't start speaking to her as though she was a child he'd probably keep her favour.
She glanced up here and there, his sexpressions seemed mostly genuine, and ... she was fond of how he grinned and seemed to be engaging in conversation more now, though still quite to the point, which she could respect, but could still be rather all together dangerous.
Himizu's ears twitched slightly and he looked up from lieing down as though he knew their conversation had turned to something important. Him. She reached over and pet him, his neck craning slightly to nuzzle her hand and she leaned over, twisting at the waist to give him a peck on the nose. Smiling softly before she looked back to Vu again, brushing back some hair.
"Well, if I answer, I get to ask you a question too." She didn't wait for his consent and answered quite readily. "He's a vole-tiger. Native to the western parts of the Earth Kingdom, mostly." And eastern Fire Nation as it were... but I don't really need to make that known.
"So! Nhat, what are you doing out here?" She tried to hide any amusement, tilting her head a bit to seem genuine curious, which she of course was. But really, she wondered what sort of lovely truth or lie she'd get.

"Well, if I answer, I get to ask you a question too," she teased. And before even waiting for his agreement or disagreement she answered.
A vole tiger, he nodded. Not knowing exactly what one looked liked though. 'Western parts,' so she's from there or obtained it somewhere around these parts.
"So! Nhat, what are you doing out here?" She then immediately and quickly threw at him.
"What am I doing here," he replied. Buying himself time. His brush coming off the paper rather than resting on it at an endstroke. Knewing it would eventually... if he was "lucky" would come to this. But he had yet to craft something coherent or even choose which of the lies he thought up to use.
So he went for a deflection.
"Well I just recently managed to make my way to this river." Then jerking his head behind him. "I was up there earlier, maybe an hour ago. In fact I'd aquired a... beast of a playmate you could say. Had to throw away my stick to distract and made a run for it. Been down here since."
Yeah, he knew that wouldn't be enough for her. But it would at least buy him further time to decide. Saying he was just a traveler would be best but she'd probably want a backstory to that as well.
Until then he would play a tit-for-tat with her questions. "And if you don't mind my asking Ms. Gale, since you say Proud is native to the western regions. Did you aquire your Proud back west or somewhere around here then?"

She furrowed one brow while arching the other, Way to change the subject Mr. Vo. She thought sarcastically to herself and shook her head slightly. She'd play along, give him some time to perhaps make something up. Luckily for herself she could normally tell the truth for answers, just leaving out certain details if need be, that or she'd already rehearse most of her... fibs, before.
"Hm, no I didn't get him back in the Western parts, it was only a number of towns back actually. He's still been with me for quite a bit, though." She looked down to him fondly, "I got the little brat from a rather nasty old merchant, he had quite a few um... 'exotic' animals with him."
Truth of the matter was when she said 'got' she meant 'stole' or at least that's how the merchant saw it, she liked to term it more as liberating. She'd seen the little fire-bending rodent-feline during her traveling through that town and her heart had dropped. He'd been crammed into a little cage, and when she tried to pet him, he'd bit at her, catching the side of her hand. So she'd spent the rest of the day staking out the merchant's movement and at night she'd released him... then the rest of the animals to be fair. He'd seemed to take to her after that and slowly he let her touch him, then she'd named him after a few days. Himizu... fire and water.
"He's a little bunch of big trouble. I still have marks from some of the real bites." Her golden eyes closed to be half-lidded, but her expression was calm, as though despite her words she was very much alright with it. She let silence lie for a while, glancing up. Wondering... if she'd said to much.
"Anyhow... that's not what I meant. Why are you here, in the forest?"

Vu kept a straight face as she shook her head at him. Yeah, he knew she'd see through it. And a part of him somewhere enjoyed that. Even caused him to hide a grin.
'Nasty old merchant' mm? Wondering if she actually bought Pride or stole him. Yet giving her the benefit of the doubt, as it seemed either way she released the vole-tiger from a fate possible abuse, malnutrion and death.
Momentarily he wondered upon the karma of such an action.
"He's a little bunch of big trouble. I still have marks from some of the real bites."
He smiled while she half-lidded her eyes at that. As if remembering but her face failed to grimace. She seemed happy with the creature. Petting him, letting him nuzzle her hand and leaning over to give him a peck on the nose.
Looking down at his ink book he sighed. damn...
Taking a moment to dip his brush into the ink stone he began a begin working on her hands, which until then were none existent. Her arms ended in stumps til now.
"Anyhow... that's not what I meant. Why are you here, in the forest?"
He continued working, briefly looking up from his pad and at her fingers. "I'm a traveler," without looking up and still working. "Just as you are probably a traveler yourself. So eventually my traveling would bring me into a forest." Of course that still didn't answer her question and rather than perturb her, Vu continued.
"But that is not what you meant either I shall guess. Well, once the roads extend far beyond the last human settlement for a time," pausing, "sometimes I find it better to leave the road and travel through the wilderness. Not only can it be exciting but there is far less of a chance of bandits waylaying you if you are not walking on the road."
Lifting up from his pad he swept a hand about the area. "Thus is how I wound up here. And met Proud and yourself as well."

Good answer... it is mine as well afterall. But she watched him closely once more as though trying to soak up whatever information she could from everything. It could have been the truth, the truth missing some details or with a few altered, or simply a lie. Any wre possible, though he'd already proved himself a liar once with his accent, and he seemed to be a man who could be possible of a great deal of common sense, which made him even more difficult to interpret.
Mentally shrugging she let it go, whether or not it was some form of truth or a clear lie, she imagined it would be the only story she'd be able to get from him for now, at least, so she accepted it for what it was. What Nhat wanted her to think, that would have to suffice.
He spoke rather formally for a travelor though, and she wondered if people ever thought that of her... though she didn't think she was too formal all the time. She just tried to remain 'well-read' even while on the road. Otherwise the things Yukashii tried to familarize her with might fall short.
Yukashii She lowered her chin, looking down to the ground again not caring to look at him, a wave of guilt past over her. She hadn't thought of her brother much at all lately and it was getting dangerously close to the anniversary... when that letter had come. She fell back from her crouched position half-hearted landing on her behind and kept her eyes down, fingers trailing on the ground as she put herself into a sitting position. "Damn it..." She muttered out, narrowing her eyes.
Glancing up momentarily she forced a small grin, and gave a small nod. "Yeah... I'm a traveler as it were." She spoke out loud enough for him to hear. She didn't question whether or not that'd be enough of n answer for him, her gaze just lowered to his book that he seemed quite into, and briefly wondered what lied on that page now.

She's been quiet for quite a bit, going back to his pad after giving a answer she seemed to be satisfied with hearing.
All his ears picked up now was the moving river, though its babbling wasn't loud enough to entirely drown out normal volume speech. Though it was entrancing to listen to, along with the sounds of birds and cicadas, while considering his options. Both artistic and personal.
But should there be a head halo or a full halo?
I'll come back to that later, and as for two arms or a "thousand" he chose to go with just two. Any more and this picture would look cluttered. As well as the amount of time it would take.
"Yeah..." she finally spoke while he was finishing her right hand. "I'm a traveler as it were."
With one last stroke the hand was completed in the abhaya mudra; palm facing outward with the fingers upright and joined. Symbolising blessing, reassurance, protection and dispelling of fear while her left rest atop an empty space where Pride would reside. If he could get a dry viewing or description of him.
"I decided to guess as much," without looking up. "You lack a backwoods accent I was guessing you to have. And though I've seen few travelers during my time as one--despite all the various intentional and unintentional styles of clothing I have come across... I can not recall ever seeing someone wearing maroon." He made a waving motion with hand holding the brush as if waving aside the matter. Then looking up from his book and across the river to her; "I would like to give you a choice," with a closed mouth smile. "You could either tell me the what and why you became a traveler. Or you can tell describe to me Pride in some detail. I'm unable to discern anything definite in his slowly drying condition."

"Proud... it's Proud." She corrected, finding it somehow important that though not Himizu's real name that Vu or Nhat rather should get it right since he believed it to be the true name after all. She wasn't sure how he'd take that, since he seemed rather sure of himself for a travelor... but again maybe so did she. Or maybe it was because she was a woman and he was a man, he was older, or simply perhaps there was a river between them. Any or perhaps all of the above. Either way he seemed to be taking quite a large liberty in the types of questions he was asking.
She narrowed her gaze slightly and looked away from him, a more serious and/or concentrated look on her face. "You say that as though it is so courteous of you to give me such a choice. Though you seem to pass by the fact that it is truly my choice whether or not I answer either." Not to mention one is none of your business.
She closed her eyes briefly, the unnerving thoughts coming back to her even more now. Why had she come to traveling? It'd seem so clear to her at the time, that she could no longer remain where she was after what had happened. She wanted to live and see the world, not die for a Nation who cared not if her blood was spilled by the enemy or by the nation's will itself.
She furrowed her brow in anger, trying to hide her face from him somewhat, a hand ran across the ground though and fingers gripped on to a reachable rock. She pulled it from its embedded spot and whipped it across the water downstream. Golden eyes watching as it skipped across the water's surface making quite the distance before plummeting to its new underwater place.
Looking down to her long maroon coloured tunic, with its golden yellow and dark blue trims, with golden embroidery around certain spots and blue hood, she wondered if she should bother to tell the story she'd come up for it. She declined mentally, still trying to stave off some bitterness that had been aroused. Don't go losing yourself, foolish girl. Propping herself on to her knees she nudged at Himizu, getting him to reluctantly stand.
Though he growled out in protest, he stood up, and puushed into her fabric covered hands as she lifted the hanging front part of her tunic and began using it much like a towel for him. He was damp, almost dry but his fur hadn't fallen back into place quite yet. The rubbing helped with that. Restoring him back to his miniature tiger-like appearence, only with a bit shorter and slightly poofier of a tail and slightly larger ears.
"There." She said out and sat back down, bringing her raised knees together in front of her chest now, and wrapping her arms around them as she sat. She gave a slight shrug as she looked back to him, a much plainer look on her face now, and one of regained unease. "Where I come from, such an accent wouldn't be seen fit, and just because I travel doesn't mean I'd get it. Though I lack it, however, at least I didn't have it plastered on and then all of sudden lose it entirely." She quirped.
She rested her chin on her knees and watched closely to see how he reacted to her rather aimed remark.
