Choji didn't want this girl's help it was obvious that she was made to assist. Lei didn't really give a damn about Choji and that was just find with her. She snorted at the drunk and continued to walk away. "Look here, girl, I didn't ask for you to follow me. I can't handle myself, I don't need pity from some dumb girl. So got back to your restruant and leave me alone. You're more trouble then I want to bargian with." Choji coughed hard and pulled her shawl around her neck, and continued walking down the road. Using her can to advoid the mud puddles
Choji began to smell, sweetbread baking. She smiled inwardly, she was almost home. "Just around the bend and I'll be at my hut. She passed the bakery and entered her road. "Go home girl. I don't need your help." Choji growled, as she found her hut finally, after being in rain so long. She coughed again and knock the door open with her cane.

Sighing, Lei slowly shook her head. She was...obligated to make sure Choji got home on her home. Didn't particulary want to, but hey, to each their own, especially when it came to personalities. If something happened to the lady, no matter how foul her disposition was, she was still an important person to someone out there. She snorted before responding, "If I'm trouble, then so must you."
Obstinatly keeping Choji shielded from the rain, Lei quietly followed the woman. Passing a nearby bakery, Lei absently thought about the bread and meats stuffed into the basket her mother had given her. Sliding past Choji into the hut, she walked in and placed the basket on a nearby table inside part of the hut that looked like the kitchen. "At least me dry off first. That, and reheat you some of the food my mom threw at me to bring home to you."

Choji grunted: "Fine, you can stay. Since your so stubborn, like Kento. She took some wood from her wood-basket and started a fire.
Choji hut was rather simple looking but very detail. There was two rooms seprate from the main living/kitchen room. One was once Shinji's but was left undisurb. Another was Choji bedroom.
The kichen was where Choji did most of her medicinal practices and where she keep fresh and dried herbs. A grinder was on shelf, there was wood stove as well. On a table was a small portriate of a smiling man, in earth kingdom uniform. There was a substanal amount of dust on it. Choji sat on a rocking chair near the far to get warm. Then she grumbled to Lei. "Why did you help me? Why did you a grumbly old bat like me?" The warm heat seeped into Choji's bones. She lifted her hand to the fire and quitely closed her eyes.

Somehow managing to find an earthenware pan, she grabbed a pair of chopsticks and gingerly placed the baked, lukewarm chicken in it, including the potatoes, carrots, and other cooled vegetables. Covering it with the lid, she placed it in the wooden stove. Wiping her hands, she looked at the weary lady in contemplation.
It took Lei oh...a second to respond to that answer, no malice of any kind in her voice as she responded with a simple, "Because you're stubborn."
Lei never did like silence. That was Chin's preference, but she broke it many a time by ordering him to help her around the house like taking out the trash. Leaning against the stove, hoping to get her clothing dried, she idly scanned the hut, her eyes narrowed at the dusty picture. She decided to break the silence with her usual curiosity "So, whose Kento?"

Choji sighed and lean back, she might as well tell her. Like she would care anyway.
"He was my husban when I was young thing. He when to war when I was pregant with Shinji. Never saw him since. I fear that those fire-demons finnally killed him." She sighed and rocked back and forth in the chair, "Figures. That man was as rockhard as the element he bended. Stubborn and full of it. He was never polite and he was too loud." Choji snorted and tossed a log on the fire. "Bah and wasn't good in bed all the time. I wonder how in the gods name, I ever got pregant to begin with." However during her diatribe Choji's face grew soft and sad. "Though, he was loyal to his country, and loving man. He was easy to forgive and trust. You can't hate him even if you tried. Nor forget. I could never forget Ken. Trust me girl I have tried. Kento was man that could stay on your mind for years." Choji hobbled over to the counter. "Bah is supper ready yet?"
