So...is that what we're doing then? Are Azula, Mai, and Ty Lee swarming the Gaang's general area? Or might it be an accidental bumping into?
(This is Katara for those who don't know)

I was under the impression we were going to very quickly wrap up the current thread with the Gaang, get Aang at least introduced to the beginning of earthbending, and then have our showdown in a new thread with the Gaang much closer to Ba Sing Se. Otherwise I just couldn't think of a reason that Ozai's Angels would be circling around under the desert when they need to get back and oversee the siege.

So.. You guys do your Quick little Earth Bending and then we'll time-skip to a point when The Aang Gang is closer to BSS then?
I'm A-Okay with that.

I was under the impression that he WAS starting his earthbending...and I had no idea we were in the desert. I thought we were in the random EK area. Like I said, geography soooo doesn't matter in Avatar. And really...action now sounds much more exciting. But whatever. You want to do that, I guess I'll throw together a post and you can. But seriously, do we really have to RP through Bitter Work? I'd rather not make the ladies wait any longer than they already have.

I don't think Aden meant doing all of Bitter Work. Just get Aang beginning to earth bend. Like throwing a pebble or something.. then a time skip, Right?

So its kinda like the scene in The Lion King where Simba dances his way from being a cub into adulthood, with about three seconds to portray his entire adolescent life?

Except instead of skipping through several years in which stuff probably happens, we'd skip a few hours or a day in which nothing happens.

It was still a pretty good movie though. ^^

I don't think Aden meant doing all of Bitter Work. Just get Aang beginning to earth bend. Like throwing a pebble or something.. then a time skip, Right? Correct. I just felt like having him actually move a rock at some point, since up til now he's had no success. And I figured they were along that mountain range that borders the desert since they're only 2-3 days out of Gaoling. After Aang gets over the hump (which I can do in my next Aang post if you're all really antsy to get going) I figure we can assume one more week's worth of travel and they can cross paths with Ozai's Angels somewhere near the great lakes. Depending on what they wanna do, it can either be a complete surprise encounter, or Azula and Co. can spot Appa in the air and then make a detour on their own course to intercept the gaang.

If you insist on being so precise with geography, very well. I'll try to find something for Sokka to do in the meantime...

So, I'm finally joining this discussion. However it seems like I joined when everything's winding down. I like the brief time-skip thing, because I think Aang needs to throw a rock. Maybe he gets mad a Sokka for some comment he said? Then Aang put's his best effort forward and finally does it? I dunno.
Just tell me when to post, and I will. ^^

I'm going to throw the girls into a brief thread in Omashu simply so we can get posting. I will keep an eye on your threads and when I see a good opening after Aang does some earth bending, we'll come after you.

At the moment I'm trying to expedite Aang's first step into earthbending. With a little collaboration from Toph I'm thinking he can do it in one more post and then we just have one last round for anyone who wants to make an exit remark.
After that, then we're all set for the battle.
Are we just going to assume Azula and Co sees Appa flying and then they take off on their mongoose-lizards to pursue? I'd be fine with a surprise attack, unless Azula's arrogant enough to just stroll liesurely into their camp and demand absolute surrender. ^^

For the sake of order, I think we should take a different directions with the new thread, the Throwdown. Lets face it, there are a LOT of people involved, and we sort of have three groups involved as of now. Instead of waiting for the whole round to go by, in the original posting order, we might as well separate it into the groups that are now forming. Which seem to be, the angels, Aang and Toph, and Katara and Sokka. Three groups, all doing different things.
It doesn't make sense, for example, for Toph to wait for Ty Lee to post if the two aren't in contact with each other. Toph would have post when Aang's goes up, and that makes sense, right? Does anyone disagree?

We already pretty much agreed to throw posting order out the window for now, I think. At least, until the rumble gets started and it becomes important for people not to take too many turns in a row.
