A husband?

Since Nati isn't getting any younger (already 23, yikes!) I'm hoping that she gets married in the near future (once the siege is over and everyone has collected their missing limbs..)

Any takers? Ideally we're looking at WT, but possibly EK could be interesting, would mean a good plot!

Heh, though I must admit I once pondered the idea of an RP where Aden was arranged to marry some girl after the second siege was over, I don't know if Nati would be the best choice for it. She's about 5 years older than him, and there would have to be some kinda situation that would spark the turn of events.

The plot idea I had considered involved a girl whose parents, or at least the patriarch of her family, had been killed and could not make a living on their own, This family would have been friends with Aden's, and they would have arranged the two to marry in order to help out the unfortunate family.

Somehow I doubt Nati's willing to kill off her OCs father and brother, and Nati seems like she could make a decent living as a healer so there's almost no reason for the two to wed... Unless of course they end up getting to know each other in the infirmary and they genuinely like each other. But even then, Aden's not the type to seek out a marriage while there's a war going on. He'll need to be forced into it whether he wants to or not. ;D

Actually it seems like 23 wouldn't be too old for people of the Avaverse to marry or even have children. On Nick.com, it says that Chief Arnook is 50 years old, and since we know that Yue turned 16 in the course of the show, that would have made Arnook 34 at the time of his (presumeably) only/oldest child's birth. Of course, I find all of that odd. But maybe the Avaverse's life expectancy isn't that low? After all, so far we've seen two character that we know are over 100 years old (Bumi and Guru Pathik), and Kana is stated to be 80 on Nick.com.

But all this aside, if Nati wants a husband, a husband for Nati should be found. ^^; Perhaps someone could even make a NWT man around her age specifically for that reason. Shall we put out requests, then?

hey hey.. Arnook simply could have had a child late in life! It's possible. 23 seems to be fine to be married, people get married at that age. Yue was to be married at age 16. I bet Arnook just had a child late.

I believe it is referred to as the double standard.

In most societies' a man was not greatly expected to marry early. Often times he was expected to make a name for himself and/or become self-sufficient before taking on a wife (along with maturity at times). It wasn't uncommon in some societies for a girl Yue's age to marry a man twice her age. After all he would have likely have made a name for himself and was able to provide for her and the family they were expected to created.

How many boys under say~ twenty two at the most can/could do that?

I believe to some extent this sort of practice continued in the U.S.A. up until the mid-20th century or so. But I'm not entirely certain. You may have to check with the creation of age of marriage and minor age laws or something.

So are you trying to have her arranged to someone or courted or arranged then courted or what? Take a look through the character index for the Water Tribe if you need.

Yet from the looks of it, unless you want someone to make a new PC geared/destined towards marrying Nati in some way all the likely male suitors she has to choose from are in either The Return North or In the Oven threads.

So yeah, there you go, Nati. Unless she somehow jumps ship from the North Pole to head to the Earth Kingdom--which seems like a pretty far date to me--then her pool is really small from the looks of it.

Well I got thinking and possibly the end of the second seige means less people, so there is a pressure to get married and start rebuilding the population (a very common thing in WW2)

An arranged marriage would be good, I'm not really looking for love (could happen though!) and it would be great fun to roleplay a strained courting.

So...Young man decides he needs a wife, perhaps sees Nati, thinks, I'm only getting older might as well have a wife. Nati can't say no as a woman, so goes along with it or aruges with the parents a little. Courting for a few weeks, then they get hitched!

And the thought of EK could be a trader *shrug* It's possible that it could happen since her family comes from a trading background.

Nati's good points:
-Well off family, good trading business.
-Brilliant Healer.
-Pretty (to some anyway!)
-Hardworing with chores .
-Doesn't complaim much.

Bad Points:
-Snores.
-a little clumsy
-bad at telling jokes.

I just had a look through the list....and wow the pool more like a puddle! I've found only 4 that are older/same age as Nati, two of whom have already been married and are widowed 0.0

And for some reason I would like to see a SagNati pairing. XD

And it's almost possible that Chamir could be reined in. ^.^;; He'd be faithful, certainly but that won't be a guarantee that he'll stop being a flirt. If anything that'll give him some new material/routines to his game. XD

But what about Ryota? The character is a few years younger but is practically a blank slate compared to... well... pretty much any Water Tribe male we currently have. A lovingly clusmy couple, ne?
