Here we discuss it if we choose. I've already exploded, but here are my calm thoughts:
This episode was extreme awsome. It was bittersweet, which was ok.
The waterbenders, the waterbending moves, everything was baffling. I had no idea water could be so amazing. Well amazing, but not as wonderful as that. The princess and that whole plot struck me as very soap operaish (GranGran and the Master too) but it wasn't so bad. Sokka was still in character through all this 'mushyness' and I thank him deeply for it.
Speaking of the master, the traditions, and Katara, I thought that part was all well put together. Katara rocks, no question, and while the Master was a huge jerk in the beginning, he turned out to be ok when someone slapped him in the face. We all need that once and awhile.
In Zuko's plot, there was not a time I had no chills. We finally got some insight into music night, which was cool (the tango dance was.. interesting o.o) but, you know Zhao, irked me to a early grave. He's a smooth villian, but I think Iroh's smoother. Those pirates will die, along with Zhao, and they have both earned a very dark place in my heart where no one wishes to be. The whole part with the Blue Spirit was soooo awsome. I wondered when it would come up again. Zuko rocks, Zhao. You don't stand a chance.
I can't wait to see what happens next! ^.^ Avatar just gets better and better and BETTER.

OK, here are my thoughts. Brace yourself, as I tend to ramble *evil laughter*
I love this episode. And I'm convinced more than ever that I'd love to be a waterbender (I thik I am one in spirit, lol). Ther moves are so smooth and well put together, it's like art. It's awesome. *geeks out*
The Yue (is that how you spell her name?) plot was a little soap-opera-ish, but not too much, because it was realistic. And I feel sorry for her: she seems like a nice girl, and then she gets forced to marry someone she doesn't love, and THEN she meets Sokka, who she happens to like. That's got to suck.
I agree, Sokka staying in character is great. *hugs the writers* I love you writers, you do your job so well.
We finally get to see music night! It's kind of funny, but I see why they do it. It seems relaxing. And Zuko's line "For the last time, I am not playing the Sungi Horn." LOL. See, even Zuko has his comic relief moments behind the angst. And that's why so many people (myself included) love him.
Zhao pissed me off in this episode. Selfish, controlling, jerky.....I could go on, but I won't. I can't believe he tried to kill off Zuko! I mean, I know he's ruthless, but if he had gotten caught.....he probably would've been in huge trouble. No matter how much I despise him, I have to admit, he's got guts and ambition.
OK, who loved Katara-v-Paku? I did. Not only did it show the awesomeness of waterbending, but it showed what katara's capable of. I don't care if you love or hate her, you have to admit, Katara's got skills. Go Katara!!!!

MyThoughs: *lotsa SPOILERS*************
I thought that Sokka had a right to know that The Princess was engaged. She upset him, and that was wrong. Even though she was reeeaally pretty, she should have been more nice to Sokka. It was funny when he said "I'm not happy." and Katara said "but your never happy...."
Paku is like my new favorite character. He's tied for first with Iroh. He is an incredible waterbender, and you know how water is my favoritest element. It was also cool how he was supposed to get married to Kana, Katara's Gran Gran. I'm still wondering if Kana had kids with him, or if she had kids with someone else from the Southern Water Tribe. Anywho, Paku is awesome. "Oh no, just barge in, I wasn't concentrating or anything..."
Katara, Zuko, and Aang. Katara is a very talented waterbending, and she performed her "women's rights" in the Northern Water Trible. I thought is was unfair, too, for women to not waterbend. Anyways, she stuck to it and now they can waterbend. Aang was also sticking up for Katara. He, I though, did not have too much of a role in this episode, but he did a great job. "Why don't we all get on YOUR back and fly on YOU?!" Zuko like...got hurt. He was quiet in this episode, Iroh did most of the talking. I like his plan, but I'm not sure how they are going to get it, and I'm eager to find out.
The best thing about the episode was the structure and scenery itself. THERE WAS WATER EVERYWHERE! How cool is that?! I'm guessing that the grounds are some type of un-slippery ice, but it's so cool.
Overall, this was my favorite episode. It introduced cool characters. Paku, I saw in the preview, is going to fight in the season finale. I can't wait ^^ I give the ep 10/10

Same here. The only thing I don't like is how girls can't learn combat-waterbending. But maybe after Pakku lets Katara learn, the other girls will join in.
If that happens, then the Northern Water Tribe would be perfect *sad sigh*.
