Need someone to help me get started

I just got my character accepted, and I'm looking to start RPing. However, I need to be realistic about it, so I can have my first post be hundreds or thousands of miles away from my home. First of all check out this map:

The green dot is where I lived. At the end of my background I just left my home "to seek my fortune" I got an offer to roleplay with Kaede, and I would love to take her up on it. However she is in Hokage. As I said in my PM to her, the most realistic place for us to meet would be Shuen City. Obviously I would need to take a boat or aircraft, to get there. as indicated by the red lines, I could potentialy travel that short distance "off screen" so to speak, and meet someone at the mouth of the river or at the sea. I really want to get started, so if anyone can help me out that would be great.

C'mon people. I would really like to get started RPing here. It has been a long time since I have even posted at all here. If anyone can offer any ideas, help anything would be very much appreciated

Tomo - The best thing to do is simply start RPing. Make a post. And Keep posting to it. Start a story with yourself. Azula made a thread and posted three times before Raiku joined. People will join if they see a new thread, and if not.. keep posting your own posts.
