Alrighty then so I'm thinking of making a Three-five year jump board where you can play your characters in a futuristic time line I have enough gold to throw around to buy something like this, either way I know I want to make a board so if anyone could toss out ideas, maybe a "swamped" board or something I have nooo idea

Xia had tried to make a future FS thread for the Flame Dancers, but I think it was on to small a scale to really get into.
I personally would be very interested to play a future FS thread, have Xuan's kids all grown up, Nim married off, so you have one member at least.

It was a test board playing the next generation. It never really got off the ground because of a lack of interest but I think that was because she was testing it with the FDs only. A board that was accessible to the entire site might get off the ground.

okay, first off, how many years ahead would we want this? like twenty so you could possibly play your characters children or just a bit ahead so you can play more mature versions of yourself, I'd come up with the plot and such for all of this, so no worries on that I just really want to know where people think I should take this idea so pitching years, circumstances or basic rules of the board would be uber helpful, maybe have a mod hop on board with me to run it because honestly? I can't even lock threads on the god darn subboards

I'm not so sure I support this idea. Either we skip the entire board forward, or not at all in my opinion. Something like this will make assumptions about where characters, relationships and the world in general are going that may not come to pass if we just play it out in game.
I think the AU board we have now is more than enough.

Muqali this would be for fun, not barring much on the current plot and frankly if you don't want to join in on it I don't care

Fun or not, fast forwarding existing characters would have an effect on where you took them in the current storyline. I'm just saying it would be in the back of your mind at the very least.

I kinda actually have to agree with Muq on this one... Also, I would see this as a sort of... being in two threads at once sort of thing. You cant know what will happen to the character in those years, because you're still RP-ing it, so how can you play a character that has blank years?
Also, if you were to fill in the blank years, and best laid plans of mice and men go astray, as they always do, what happens? Your character is no longer the same character, because what you said WILL happen, didn't happen.
