*Chamir is found running his game on the haiku teacher from the “Tales of Ba Sing Sei” episode. Whispering poetry to her.* ^^; I figured we play some form of game—something usually found in the “General” section of forums—though one not as non-sensible. Though there’s nothing wrong with that. So I figured—a left over from the “Tales of Ba Sing Se” thread—why not haiku, or even a haiku duel. Then I thought, why not go with a haikai no renga. A haikai no renga being a collaborative linked verse poem by more than one person. It starts of with a haiku (5-7-5 syllables per line count) followed by a waki (7-7 syllables per line count) done by a second person, followed by a haiku done by the next person, followed by a waki followed by... And it continues on, almost endlessly, from there as each person plays off the one before. And since, I’m told, haikai no renga is more colloquial, less formal and “proper-like” than your normal/traditional renga and haiku I guess there should be little restriction to what you should post. Heck, you can even make your verse in-character or out-of-character or using contemporary English-language styles to the form. Oh, and make sure you get those syllables right. Wouldn’t want this guy showing up in the thread treatin’ you like this now, would we? Now, let us begin. *Chamir grinningly turns back to haiku teacher* No dance season, bound With falling leaves. But I am, All seasons, a man.[/b] ^^() eheheheh…
