(Teiú comes from: Onlaught's Hangover)
His fingers rolled over his bald head. His hair was with him since his first days of acknowledging his existence. It was one more thing to be lost in this stage of his story. Indeed, when Teiú crouched near the lake, the reflection his eyes caught tried to delude him, showing a bald young man, dressed in brown clothes. His attire hardly would resemble the one he was so used to while his life was based on his homeland. Huey appeared by his side. Ever since Teiú was found by his rebel comrades, Huey, a middle aged warrior of tan skin and short hair, several inches bigger than Teiú himself, was assigned to care for the unfortunate Fire citizen's security. The firebender's attention was still glued to the calm waters of the neighboring lake. Huey's hand rested by Teiú's shoulder.
"I'm sorry Won, you know it is better for you not to be out for so long. Some of the rebels, specially the younger ones, are resented you are with us."
Teiú uttered no words, although his eyes did all the talk. The sorrowful look he threw at his bodyguard was enough to show his feelings toward that situation. And then, Teiú had yet to familiarize with the name given to him, Won Wey. It was necessary, Teiú never would deny it, if he was survive in the country while being searched by two waring nations, he would better be someone else. It was worth noting that all the hate and sorrow being thrown at him by several of his rebel comrades wasn't helping at all. Huey tried to console Teiú on the walk back to the settlement. It didn't help much, though.
Stationed by a relatively small lake, many men and women, in basic attires, were sharpening old swords and spears. From behind the tent assigned to him, Teiú could see that, among these people's tired expressions and rough weapons resided a way worse enemy. Each consecutive loss piled enough to tire them all as a guerrilla group, but the massacre at Tachi Dai ultimately broke their spirits. Sure, there always was that young ones. They were emanating energy and will. But it was clear that without some solid guidance from those with advanced ages those young ones' spirits were becoming masses of exasperation, fear and carelessness. On the days that followed the tragedy of Tachi Dai, that camp over there, formed by the lines of the guerrilla organization named The Rebellion, assembled nothing more than broken hearts and resentful wills, coiled inside tired human bodies.
From where they were, in a place deemed a good hiding spot, they could see the chain of mountains standing between them and the sea. Somewhere in there, Teiú was told, was resting the Fire Nation's stronghold of Pohuai. There, those captured on past onslaught were supposed to being held. There, supposedly, Teiú would find Setsuko. And despite the sad accounts of facts, nothing were all shadows. Rumors were that more of the leaders of The Rebellion were coming from distant lands, ready to claim leadership of the army being assembled. And, even greater hope were the rumors that rebels would be able count with way more powerful allies. Talk of the camp was that The Rebellion would see aid in the savior of the world, the Avatar.
But... would that be really true?
