Gengoro could feel a twitch somewhere on the inside of his head. The nerve of this woman standing across the fire from him.
“What? No witty comeback?” Gengoro sneered, “Ran out of argument? Give up? I can’t believe this.” He dropped to the ground and laid onto his side with his face toward the fire with angered face painted across his cranium.
“I thought you had more spunk than that,” Gengoro continued, “And now you won’t talk to me? Why, cause I’m ex-Fire Nation? Fine. You don’t have to talk to me.”
A wicked grin widened across his face, “Doesn’t stop me from talking to you though.”
Tseng Wei smiled as he scooted closer to the fire,” Oh, this should be good.”
Gengoro got himself upright as he still faced the bang-haired girl, “So I was in Ba Seng Sei, looking for work. I found this old guy with a restaurant who needed some help, something about one of the workers walking out on them. Anyways, he hired me to do the heavy lifting, so I did and as a bonus, had shelter to sleep in for the nights I worked. First few days are fine, then some stupid people from some local gang show up and started a whole bunch of stuff, like extortion. I didn’t want to get involved at first, but they kept pushing. After a few days of tolerating, I got fed up with it. I beat them up and followed one back to their base. Had this other guy named Xun with me. After a big battle, I met this guy named Yao. Tall, bulky, and ugly, not that you’d be interested. Gave a good fight, but I ended chopping him down.”
Looking toward the direction of Jialing, he had to see if she was getting irritated. A grin ran across his face still, “You think that was weird, here’s the story of how I met this weirdo right here. There I was…”

With her legs crossed in front of her Tsuya leaned forward so her abdomen met her thighs, arms on the ground with her head perched gently atop them. She was getting a headache, one of those splitting ones she might have tried to sleep through at home. No such luck here however. Trying to ignore the banter going back and forth the warrior breathed deeply. Soon they would run out of topics to sling back and forth and maybe she would finally be allowed to drift off, if only for a little while. It felt like years since she had gotten a full seven hours of shut eye and her mind yearned to drift off into nothingness.
Sitting up with a start Tsuya realized she must have drifted off. Now the ex-soldier, no, his name was Gengoro, was doing some sort of recount of past adventures. Sharply exhaling she propped her head on her palm, digging her elbow into the crook of her knee. A few wisps of dull brown hair fell across her face and caused her nose to itch but Tsuya made no move. Her thoughts drifted over to the other girls and how she hoped they were fairing well enough. The circumstances she currently sat in were probably far better that the others. Hazel eyes barely caught the light of the fire as she stared at it in boredom.
“Why don’t we put off story time for a moment,” she cut in. “And figure out a sleeping arrangement? I don’t think I’m alone in noting the pitfalls of us all nodding off at the same time. Of course if no one else feels there eyes going sore then never mind.” Covering a yawn with her other hand, Tsuya shrugged. Was it a bad thing if her mind already felt overspent? While the others still acted lively everyone needed their rest. “I’d just like to fit as much sleep in as possible while I have the opportunity to…”

She wanted to roll her eyes a thousand times. Good Spirits, man! I am trying to cut you a break and not kick your ass to the riverbank. Once again, Jialing was drifting off into a day dream where she imagined her scrawny self able to fight off a hundred soldiers. Okay, so maybe not but the thing was, she had sat down because honestly.. what could she say that would get them to freaking leave? Nothing really.. and he had made some good points. Not that she would ever admit to it.
She turned her head down, pretending to be more interesting in picking burrs out of Jin's dusty golden fur. Anything to keep from giving him the satisfaction of knowing that she was listening. Her scowl deepened the more and more he talked.
Jialing lifted her eyes slowly, giving a striking stink eye across the fire to the man. She let the now bare stick fall to the ground, leaning up against Jin who was still curled up at her feet. Picking at the dirtied and browned wrappings tied around her wrists, her upper lip twitched as she was about to speak, hopefully something witty and sarcastic which.. you know would be a miracle at this point. Then Tsuya, the voice of reason, spoke up once more. She snapped her head to the side, wrinkling her nose at her. How dare she interrupt a damn good argument they had going on here with her.. reason.
She popped up to her feet once more, her hands resting on her hips where that goldenrod scarf was tied, the knot tucked off to the side. "Fine. Good idea, Tsuya. We can all tell that Mister Gengoro here is just trying to impress me because he wants my ass." She smirked as she glanced down at the Kyoshi Warrior stretching out, but after a moment, she shot another impish glare, a triumphal look in her eyes towards the man with the shaggy, dark hair. With that, she stuck her nose in the air, turned on heel with the precision of a marching soldier and stepped over the fallen log that had been her seat. "C'mon Jin. Let's go find our sleeping bag."

Gengoro’s eye twitch even more. Why did she have the assumption that he was trying to get with her? It was obvious that the man Reed was interested in her, so she was claimed as “taken territory”. His blood started to boil as she continued on. Sure, he took on a lot of ridicule from people, but not from some young girl with an attitude problem. As she was walking away from the campfire with her dog, Gengoro quickly stood up and spoke his mind.
“Wants your ass?” Gengoro scoffed, “HA! Don’t make me laugh missy. I wouldn’t be interested in you at all with that scrawny ass of yours and that twig like figure. What normal human being would want that?” He knew he was taking a jab at Reed, but this was a challenge that he wasn’t going to walk away from, “I’ve seen caterpillars with more form than you, and a better personality too!”
Tseng Wei laughed from his belly as the two took snipes from each, “Oh, this is good.”
Feeling a little more unforgiving, he decided to jab at her some more, “I mean, you look so bland, that the spirits that shaped the world looked at you and were like, ‘I can’t work with this.’ You look so bad that when baboons look at you and wonder why their ass has detached and is walking away?”
Tseng Wei’s laugh was loud and boisterous that he laid on his back and grabbed his belly from the force of his laughter.
More insults followed, “Hell, you look so horrible that when Fire Lord Ozai looked upon you, he fell to his knees and cried in your presense while saying, ‘I surrender. Here, take MY land instead.’”

She stopped in her tracks, her weight shifting to one foot as she listened to the insults. Her lip twitched as she raised her head, but kept her ruddy, filthy and greasy hair to him instead of her face. She tilted her head to the side, lifting a hand to her forehead, pressing her palm into the skin, her fingers mingling with the waving strands that hung from her scalp. So what ?! Her mind argued, her cheeks growing hot in anger. Clenching her jaw, she bit her tongue though there was not really a reason.. after all, She was all out of witty comebacks for once apparently.
The dog, Jin, who stood at her side and with his shoulders as high as her hips, he was probably the more intimidating of the two since Jialing wasn't exactly running on full steam right now. He lifted his snout up to her, looking up at her with those warm brown eyes that were rarely angry. His feathered, shaggy tail that had more burrs in it than a bush arched, wagging it gently against her thigh in a comforting sort of manner. He was such a good dog and deserved a much better home than what Jialing had to offer.. but she brushed him out when she could take the hours to do it by hand, and he got to kill his own dinner.
His opinion meant nothing to her, she told herself. Reminding herself again and again that he was just a useless traitor to his own nation and was nothing better to them. Someone that couldn't be trusted. "You're just an outcast!" She shouted, turning on her heel and wagging a pointed hand at him. "You've got nothing, not even a home." Jialing declared, taking a step forward towards the group gathered around the fire. Her expression became that of mocking, false sincerity exploding in her voice. "Oh look at me! I'm a Fire Nation deserter! I wanna take down my home country and stop the Fire Lord from taking over the world. I'm going to try and befriend these Earth Kingdom citizens.. Doo doo Doo. " She puffed out her chest, mocking a manly walk in place. "Hullo there folks! Let me and my tattooed covered freak of a friend travel with you in the middle of a war zone where you can't trust anyone!" She dropped the act in a moment, the grin fading from her face as she stared at him with a flat frown. "As soon as we get to town.. We're leaving your sorry hides there."

His face turned beet red. He couldn’t believe how inaccurate this lady could be. He had no motive to help these people, he just wanted to help. Tseng Wei was laughing his ass off as these two went for each other’s necks.
“For your information, my goal isn’t to take down the Fire Nation. On the contrary, I don’t care what happens to that place,” Gengoro yelled back, “I don’t care what the Fire Lord does, I just want to live my life in peace.”
He grabbed the nearest thing that Gengoro saw, which was Tseng’s book bag, “If you want to leave us when we get to the next place, then fine, but until then, let’s just be civil!”
He launched the bag toward her direct only with enough force where it would land in front of her.
For some reason, Tseng Wei stopped laughing. A look of horror ran across his face as it was thrown. The bag landed on the ground with a plume of dust on impact. His tome fell out of the bag as it landed. With a quick sprint, he went for the book and the bag and had a nasty expression upon his face as he looked upon the both of them.
“This is mine!” Tseng screamed, “None of you will see it. There are things not meant for you.” He shoved the book into the bag and stormed off into the woods with an angry aura around him.

And there it was. That mischievous grin on her face as she tilted her head downward. The corners of her eyes crinkled with amusement as she crossed her arms across her chest, looking rather pleased with herself. Haha! Jialing laughed inside her head, her smile widening the redder his craggy face got as he yelled, the small little chuckles eventually slipping out as she dropped her eyes to the ground, kicking at the dirt, before looking back up. Now this was how things were suppose to go: her winning.
So with a cheeky grin of victory, Jialing looked back up, continuing to listen to the man yell. She had half the heart to shout back, to say that if he wanted peace, he'd picked the wrong crowd. A rabble rouser at heart, Jialing was all for causing trouble.. especially when a good deal was offered as the case for the Rebellion. Of course.. it wasn't the best deal.. but with it came the option of causing all sorts of problems.. if they would yank her and Reed off this boring reconnaissance BAD!.
Lifting her eyes back up, she had just enough time to let a yelp out of her throat, taking a shaky step back as the dark seal brown bag came soaring at her face. Her eyes went wide, the color draining from her face for just a moment as her breath caught in her throat. Her arms had risen to protect her face, her large hands with their fingers spread. Muddy eyes dropped to the ground for a moment, looking at the bag as it landed at her feet, What the hell was that?!
"..What the hell?!" She shouted, lifting her face back up as the color surged back into her face. It was then that the ..previously too hurt to move much Tseng Wei surged forward, practically running through the fire. Jialing stumbled back again at the approaching mad man who dove for his bag and books. Ugh, that man was more than a nuisance.. he was creepy as well! What with his nearly black skin and devilish, pointed features. She fought back the urge to kick him in the jaw, for a moment appearing like one of those sissy girls who squeals in fear over a camel spider (Which, Jialing would). As soon as he swooped down, he swooped back up, his cloak brushing her shoulder as he passed, running off into the woods.
She whipped around as he yelled, his figure becoming nothing but a black shadow as the daylight that streamed through the canopy of trees was thinning due to the setting sun. Her head tilted to the side, much like Jin's was apt to do when someone spoke to him, strands of her stringy hair falling into her eyes. What was his problem?

The sun was starting to set as Tseng Wei ran into the forest. The nerve of that man that threw his bag carelessly. The girl was just as bad as she kept egging him on. It didn’t matter. The time was at hand. He needed another sacrifice. He can’t risk going back to the camp to face all of them, especially Gengoro and the Kyoshi warrior Tsuya. He wouldn’t last. He had to make a secondary offering.
He scurried around the forest frantically to find a decent catch. Seeing as this forest is mostly unpopulated, it was going to be difficult. However, luck struck him as he found a wolf bat nearby separated from its flock. It looked wounded from the previous fire fight when Azula and her group showed up. He didn’t care, it was suitable for what he wanted to do. With a scalpel from his pouch, he advanced on the wolf bat with fanatical aura of wickedness around him. The wolf bat stood it’s ground and tried to fight off Tseng from his maddened rage. Claws, bites, scrapes, it wasn’t enough to stop Tseng from his insane bloodlust. He stabbed into the wolf bat repeatedly until the wolf bat submitted. It was badly hurt, but it was alive.
Tseng didn’t have the time to make a sacrificial circle, so he had to improvise. He placed the wounded wolf bat on a large rock nearby.
“Oh merciful Ravanna,” Tseng chanted, “Forgive me for not getting you a better sacrifice of a human. This I pray will be enough to sate your needs and bring enough energy to destroy the Avatar. In Ravanna’s name, I give this life to you.”
He stabbed the scalpel into the heart of the wolf bat, killing it instantly. However, it didn’t stop there. His maddened rage fuel him still. He couldn’t believe that his tome was defiled that way. He continued to cut into the wolf bat with insane grunts and screams with each slash. The heart was exposed for him. His eyes watered with excitement. With his scalpel, he lightly cut both of his palms in order to trickle a little blood as he grabbed the remains of the heart and hoisted it into the air with both his hands. He gave out a feral scream, as if the wilds took his soul for a brief time. Blood covered his cloak and arms as he ate part of the uncooked flesh of the wolf bat. After a few minutes, his bloodlust eluded him and was back to his senses. He slowly turned his head toward the direction of the campsite with a wicked smile across his face.
“So in Ravanna’s will, she will be the next,” Tseng said to himself, “If and when the time comes, she will be perfect.”
He grabbed the remains of the wolf bat haunch and dragged it back to the campsite where he will cook it for a meal during the upcoming night.

Well that had been rather easy. Tsuya smiled to herself. Blinking away the waxy feeling of sleepiness from her eyes the warrior slowly stood and retrieved a petite cloth case from inside the folds of her warriors outfit. Walking off a few feet from the circle of the fires light she found a bare patch sparsely covered with grass and mingled with leaves. Settling down and unwrapping her things Tsuya picked out a small vile and dirty length of cloth. Her skin already felt sticky thanks to the day’s activities and sleeping with the face makeup would only heighten the feeling tomorrow. Closing her eyes a moment she repeated in her head Only a few more days. There were so many strange characters out here, Tsuya wanted nothing more to see the familiar faces of the rest of the girls. That man Tseng Wei for example. She had simply ignored his outburst and obvious worry over that book for what was there to do or say anyway? Rubbing the thick cloth about her face and neck she worked at scrubbing the worst off, spreading some clear liquid from a miniature vile and rubbing again. The smell was strong but sterile and cleared her head, which she was grateful for.
Setting the items back in order the teen contemplated simply stretching out here and calling it a night. When her dull hazel eyes lifted again there was a surprise, in the form of the tattooed man making his return with what appeared to be some mangled creature. What had he been doing out there in the murky wood? Turning her head Tsuya made a face and laid back, every muscle begging to lie still. She should really stretch of course, and help the others ready themselves for the evening…But there was no will left in her at the moment. Just a moment of being horizontal and she would be up again. Peeling her gloves of her left hand, then the right, Tsuya focused on inhaling and exhaling and the moments in between.

Reed groaned and leaned far enough back to rest the curve of his neck on the log they were sitting on. He moved his arm over his head so it covered his eyes. "The day Jia doesn't have an extreme argument before bed..." He exhaled trailing off.
As the sun light became even more scarce, so did the heat of the day. It wouldn't get that much colder than it already was, but it should be pleasant. Reed's train of thought was disturbed by a massive amount of yelling. One yelled, then the other... Then the first again... And, the second... Oh wait, no both of them.. Reed sighed. Hearing them squabble was like.... A bunch of dried leaves crackling in the harsh wind. It got old after a while. Reed knew Jia well enough to do something bold or outrageously irritating, or to him - funny, to end the argument. It wouldn't be too long now....
Oh, how wrong can a boy be? For Reed, very. So the 'not too long' turned into the 'holy spirits, this is taking really long'. Reed quietly listened to pieces of the shouts. “..Don’t make me laugh missy. I wouldn’t be interested in you at all with that scrawny ass of yours.... twig like figure. What normal human being would want that?” Reed's lip twitched as it changed to a quick frown. That was just mean to say to a woman. Even if he really meant it, you don't say it. You just don't. Reed removed his arm and shot a glare at the noisy, obnoxious, ugly as any, new comer sitting across from him. His brow furrowed and he gritted his teeth. Fire Nation kept blabbering on. "Just shut up already." Reed said to him, rolling his eyes, his voice cold and stern, of being unconditionally fed up with him. And of course, Fire Nation didn't stop and nor did Jia.
Reed gritted his teeth again and got up. He walked towards the sleeping bags and passed Jia along the way pulling her by the back of her tunic. He rested his forearm on her shoulder. "Way to go, Jiaa!" He laughed, "That impression; priceless!" Reed grinned at her and lightly chuckled trying to change the subject for the sake of all that is holy. By the silence Jialing had let slip in after his little comment, Reed bumped her lightly, "Oh, By the way, I think you've got a way better figure than any caterpillar I have ever seen." He placed his free hand over his heart. "Sea merchant's honor." He smirked and ruffled her hair as he reached down and grabbed a wool blanket.
Reed shuffled the dirt under his boots with each step walking back to the campfire with a blanket in hand. He walked over to Hibiki and crouched down beside him. "Hey kid... Hey.. Hibiki..... Hibiki?..... Yo, Hibiki!" He said louder snapping his fingers in front of Hibiki's face. No such luck. Not even a 'go away'. Reed figured as much and draped the blanket over the young teen's shoulders. Reed stood up, "If you get hypothermia don't even try blaming me." He said scratching the back of his head and turning towards Tsuya. "You can have the other sleeping bag, Kyoshi." Reed just decided he'd call her Kyoshi. If she had a problem... Well, that sucks for her.

Whatever.. Jialing scoffed as she straightened her neck. She was done for the night. The fight was over as far as she was concerned and she had won. It was a good feeling, that trembly little giddiness in the pit of her stomach a sure sign of the adrenalin rush. She wiggled a raised eyebrow in the direction of the former soldier for a brief second before she turned her haughty head towards Reed who had risen to his feet. She beamed at him without a smile, but her face said everything as she bounced on her toes. He had to chuckle as he passed, grinning at her.
She tilted her head coyly at him, the corners of her lip curling up as a hand rose to brush back her taupe colored hair. Her hair felt stiff, it was wiry and course, even with all the oil on it that gave it a slick shine. Man.. when they got to town, she was taking a long soak in a warm tub that was for sure. Brushing shoulders with Reed as he passed, she dropped her gaze shyly for a moment only to feel his fingers grasp the excess myrtle colored fabric of her tunic, pulling her along with him. Her bare feet padded backwards once, twice, turning Jialing around to walk alongside Reed, away from the Fire. He leaned on her shoulder, something he was prone to do as they walked, drumming his dirty, calloused fingers on her collarbone.
"Way to go, Jiaa! That impression; priceless." He spoke to and just her, but he let his laughter carry into the woods. Again, it drew a rare smile from her that wasn't evil, or admonishing him for something stupid he did (Which was probably her fault anyway). She unfolded her arms, forearms wrapped in the thread-bare muslin that was stained with dirt, blood, grass, and slipped one behind Reed's Back, around his waist. She chuckled like any girl, pulling him closer as they walked to where they had piled their gear under a tree. She forgot about the strangers traveling with them, the strange cloaked man who had run off into the woods and the former soldier who challenged her so much. "..Just doing my job." She muttered to him, a cheerfulness in her voice as he slipped from her grasp, ruffling her hair. The rat's nest he created stayed put, defying gravity more than usual on the top of her head.
While Reed took a blanket to the poor kid crashed out alongside the fire, Jia kicked out their rolled sleeping packs, rolling them towards the Fire. It would be safer near it anyway. "..Reed, Call her Tsuya." She commanded, overhearing the young man with the scruffy, jaw length hair refer to the only other woman in the group by her island. She glanced towards the warrior, watching as she removed the white face paint for a moment before feeling like she was intruding on something private. Jialing finished unrolling the two packs, side by side, and placed her leather and rabbit fur boots next to hers. Jin was passed out clean by the fire, warming his stomach as he laid on his side. All around them, the night had grown quiet save for the crickets chirping and the wind rustling the leaves. As she sat down on her pack, crossing her legs under her, she couldn't help but wonder where the hooded man prattling on about his precious books had gone.

Reed was just used to calling Kyoshi Islanders Kyoshi. Well, actually, only when they weren't on the island. When he tried the same thing on the island, it got much too confusing. Jialing scolded him for it, telling her to call Tsuya by her name. Reed sighed defeated not wanting to provoke another brawl between all the campers. “Sorry; I meant... Uh, Tsuya.” Reed rolled his shoulders and started his way away from the fire. Jin pranced beside him, head held high, as always. Reed looked down at Jin out of the corner of his eye. He grinned widely before making a sudden jerk to his right. “Jin! Look out!” Reed said in panic pointing off in the distance. Hoping Jin would take the bait; Reed dove for the large hound. Patchy clouds of dirt and debris launched up as the two struggled to come out on top of the other. Usual nights, before the sudden encounter with the tag-alongs, Reed, Jia and Jin would entertain themselves somehow when they weren’t tired or couldn’t sleep. Wrestling was one of those options. It’s been a while, so why not restart the fun.
Reed coughed out a laugh as Jin leaped against his chest and knocked him backwards, the two crashing onto the ground. “Jin-!” He laughed trying to restore his lack of breath. “Jin, I give! I gi-!” Jin cut him off by slobbering over the side of his face.

Tsuya. So Tsuya was her name. This was good. He’s starting to know everyone, even if they don’t know it yet. The remarks that both the one called Jialing and Reed didn’t matter to him anymore. He knew what he had to do, and he was willing to prove his worth. He knew he had nothing to prove, but he knew they are not convinced.
He sat up from his resting spot and looked outward toward the forested area. Fire Guard was one of the most important aspects of a campsite. Not really guarding the fire, but to watch out of intruders. Each camp would usually assign one or two guards each hour to watch over the campsite while at the same time keep the fire going for warmth, hence the name Fire Guard. He knew that the others besides the Kyoshi Warrior Tsuya couldn’t handle staying up most nights to do this job, so he had to force himself into doing it. As everyone was attempting to fall asleep, Jin occupied Reed’s time with a barrage of licking and sniffing as they played. Gengoro always liked dogs, with their loyalty and companionship.
Gengoro was wondering when Tseng Wei would be back from his little run-in with the forest. What was so important inside the book? This peaked Gengoro’s curiosity. Tseng never mentioned the book that he occasionally reads and when asked, he immediately changed the subject. What was he hiding?
As the night went on, Tseng reached the end of the forest line and saw the campsite. With a leg haunch in hand, he drags the haunch over the plains to reach his destination. Around his mouth, blood was smeared. Did he bite into the raw flesh of the wolf-bat? What was the purpose? There are many of his dark gods that were unexplained. However, he knew what he must do. With an evil smile across his face, he slowly approached the campsite with a haunch in hand and a creepy thought across his mind.

Rubbing her bare feet and calves, Jialing watched as Reed woke Jin up with his loud boisterous talking. She scowled, narrowing her eyes and scoffing under her breath but she said nothing as she watches them.. pretending of course to be more interested in her legs. Gengoro continued to sit across the fire.. he was making no move of getting ready for night. Didn't he ever sleep or was he one of those zombies that stayed up all night? You see, it had never occurred to Jialing and Reed to post a night guard, Especially when it was just the three of them. With Hibiki out cold, Tsuya and Jialing relaxing on their bedrolls.. and with Reed getting out the last bit of his energy with Jin, she wasn't quite sure how.. okay she was with the idea that he wasn't.
Sure he had helped them fend off those girls.. but.. Ugh! She dug her dirty fingers into her ankle in frustration. They didn't need it! They weren't helpless.. Spirits. Releasing her ankle, she threw her hands into the air and let her body fall backwards on the soft padded roll, which didn't help her from feeling all the bumps of the lumpy ground. "Reed.. Stop playing with th-.... " She whined, staring at the world from an upside down viewpoint. what the..? Jialing frowned in confusion, her open hands next to her head and she stared at the cloaked figure of.. Tseng Wei, was that his name? he was dragging back a hacked off, short fur leg.. like a dog's. She felt her stomach clench a bit, her thoughts immediately going to Jin, her constant companion for the better part of two years. ..Had he killed something? His cloak hid his face in the shadows, she couldn't see anything but a dark, featureless shape even as he approached the fire.
Like a fish on land, Jialing flipped herself over onto her stomach, her legs flopping about for the brief moment as she gathered her arms under her chest. Her dark eyes regarded him in silence as he passed. He smelled like blood.. Even Jin noticed it. Lifting his head from where he was currently Om Nom Noming on Reed's head, his nose began to twitch.

The other sleeping bag. Tsuya looked up, surprised that they had an extra and were willing to share it. Even more surprising was Jialing’s readiness to correct Reed, stating that he should call her by her name. Though it wasn’t a matter of supreme importance Tsuya was slightly warmed by the other female’s choice to speak up for her. Nodding at the offer the warrior hoisted herself up, casting a quick glance about the woods again out of instinct. She supposed it was a good sign they hadn’t had much company besides the princess…But if she was here then the Fire Nation was still too close for comfort.
Cautiously Tsuya moved to the bed roll set out and fell back on her behind, sitting with her legs crossed before her. She wanted to make sure that man’s companion returned before settling down for the night. Especially if he might of found company during his random outing. Tsuya heard animal and male romping around, closed her now bare eyes rather than look blindly into the darkness ahead. The ex-soldier wasn’t making a move towards sleeping which she took to mean he was attempting to be their form of a night guard. Maybe that was her burden to share, maybe not, though now she felt obligated to keep awake as long as possible. If this Fire Nation man could so would she.
Resting her wrists on her knees she was just beginning to relax a little when Jialing moved. Snapping her head around to see what had piqued the others interest Tsuya was slightly shocked. Her mouth formed a little ‘o’ of disgust at the creatures remain. It wasn’t just that he had obviously killed something, but rather the manner in which it seemed to of happened. With the bloody leg held in his grasp, as if freshly torn from the animal’s body, and the irony smell of blood in the air she had to wonder what his plan was. “We’ll be lucky if this doesn’t attract any other beats,” Tsuya commented, mind wondering what hungry thing might catch wind of this. Smoothing her cool hand against her warm forehead the warrior girl frowned. “You can’t still be hungry.” She called to the mysterious figure.
