{{Continuing from All or Nothing}}
Raine laughed as she came to a slow jog then a walk by Nakamura. They couldn’t see the city any more as they were a ways distance away. Raine was careful not to slip on the ice. Which wasn’t the easiest task, since most of the North Pole was made fro ice. Go figure. “So where do you think we should go? I don’t think we should just keep wondering around. We’ll probably run out of North Pole,” Raine slightly jested towards Nakamura, “We should look for a boat. Maybe hitch a ride out of here…?” She suggested, with what else, a smile on her face. Raine kept a steady pace as she looked over to him, “Would you like me to carry some thing? It looks like you’re over run with supplies.” She offered waiting his response.

As Nakamura walked over the snow, the wind blew slightly. He froze.
COLD.
The snow really wasn't cold. Neither was the ice. They were friendly, good friends.
THE WIND WAS COLD.
He shivered slightly, as Raine caught up to him. She asked him what he thought about their destination.
"I don't know... I don't think we will find a boat out here. We may have to make one, though I don't know what materials we'll find..."
When she asked whether or not she could take some of his load, he shook his head. "It's not all that heavy. Just not easy to keep your footing."
He kept walking straight, as the wind blew against him. He could see white in all directions, though... the horizon was a bit blue.
Maybe they were close... maybe...
He grinned. "Well, maybe we COULD hitch a ride with somebody... but I don't know who..."

“Well, from all the “gossip” in the markets,” Raine started, “I heard that there where lots of docks where sea merchants stop just to stop their ship from moving. But I also heard that there’s lots of pirates around there also,” Raine said to Nakamura a tad bit worried. Raine walked and saw a dock like the ones she was talking about, “Hey Nakamura! Check it out! There’s a dock!” She said going forward. Raine looked out to the dock and saw a ship. ‘Perfect! Now we can get out of the North Pole and travel some where else!’ She thought. Raine walked forward but slipped on ice, and before she could stop her self she was on her back sliding down the icy hill towards the docks. “Holy Crap!!” Raine yelled as she tumbled down.

Nakamura listened intently while she talked about the docks. He hadn't heard any of this, but then again, he wasn't exactly a social butterfly. He was always last to find out about things, and this, apparently, was no exception.
He winced at the word 'pirates' however. He didn't want to fight very badly.
When she exclaimed that there was a dock, he smiled. There, that wasn't so bad. Just a quick walk across-
And then she slipped.
He panicked momentarily, then remembered what the interim master told him. 'Find the center of your calm. Then, and only then, can you truly bend to your potential.'
He bended water into a sort of slide down the hill, and slid along faster than Raine. When he was directly alongside her, he jumped from his slide and caught Raine, then with his free hand, created a soft patch of snow, which they landed on.
The landing, though soft, still knocked the air out of him. He got onto his hands and knees, sucking air for a moment, then coughed. His face was red with exertion. That hadn't been easy...
He called out to Raine. "A-are you okay...?" He couldn't lift his head, he was so tired.

When Nakamura had yet again created an ice slide….thing, Raine took hold of his hand then soon after she landed face first in to the snow with a loud yelp. Her head popped up she took a breath. When Nakamura asked if she was alright, she answered with a, “Yeah, thank you. I owe you big….” Her voice trailed off as she saw Nakamura on his hands and knees still catching his breath. “Nakamura, are you OK?” Raine asked crawling over to him. “Nakamura?” She said putting a hand on his shoulder. “Hey, are you alive?” She said tucking her hair behind one of her ears. Raine was going to pull him up, but she decided not to in case he just needed to rest. “Here,” She said taking his load from him, “I’ll carry it for a bit,” She said standing up with it.

He didn't answer immediately, mainly because he was out of breath. Moving that fast and fluidly with that load on his back hadn't been easy, not to mention the bending he'd somehow managed.
Wen she took the pack from him, at first he was grateful, and did nothing. But then he realized that wasn't going to work. Men were supposed to-...
Wait. Don't go down that path again. Been there, done that. Don't want any of it.
He smiled. "Thank you, Raine..." Nobody except his immediate family had ever been so concerned about him.
He felt he should return that concern. Friendship was a mutual relationship.
He got up, and said, "If you carry that, then I'll just switch with you. You can't carry everything you know."
He hoped she would do it; he didn't want to force her to carry everything. It wouldn't be very kind.

Raine once again smiled as Nakamura thanked her, “You are very welcome, Nakamura,” Raine said answering his first question of two, “And sure, every once and in a while we can switch off.”
Raine walked down to the docks, there was a shipped docked so Raine decided to push her luck and talk to the captain. “Come on, Nakamura,” She said walking over to the Captain, or so she thought. “Excuse me, but are you the captain of this vessel?” She asked the man tapping him on the shoulder. The man turned his view to her, “Maybe…What’s it to ya?” “I asked my question first,” Raine replied. ‘That was a BAD idea, Raine!’ She thought. “Huh…Little girl’s got attitude…Captain!” He yelled to the deck, “We’ve got some visitors for ya!” The captain looked over the deck hand rail and to the dock where Raine looked up. “Look little Missy, we’re quite busy with our work why don’t you go sew a quilt?” He smirked. ‘Oh no he did not!’ Raine thought to herself, “Well why don’t you go suck on a bottle!” Raine yelled back at him without thinking.

Nakamura was thankful that she agreed to switch off. As they walked to the docks, he admired the beauty of the many vessels that were there. The sun's reflection off the water seemed to illuminate them completely, as if they shone with a light all their own.
However, when Raine began to talk to one of the crew members, he got a little uncomfortable. He looked half drunk, probably he was (judging by the smell) and the rest of the crew (at least the visible part of it) didn't look much better.
Raine then snapped at the man. Uh oh... Raine, don't start anything please...
The captain turned around. He himself looked half drunk.
And then she snapped at him too. "Well, why don't you go suck on a bottle!"
Uh oh... captains aren't usually very forgiving...
He stepped between the crew and Raine, smiling nervously. "Uh... she didn't mean that..."
Being shy, he struggled to find words to speak. Anything to fill the silence. "You know, she hasn't been feeling very good lately. She's probably just tired..."
He hoped this would temper the captains anger. And if that wouldn't...
"Besides, we came looking for passage. We can pay for it."

Raine’s view shot to Nakamura, “I am not tired,” She said quietly under her breath folding her arms being as stubborn as she could be. Then when Nakamura, “….We can pay...” Raine blinked a few times, “Excuse us for a moment won’t you gentlemen?” Raine said leading Nakamura over to the edge of the dock. “Are you crazy?” She whispered, “Do you know how much privilege on a vessel like this is???” Raine said shaking him a bit. “Raine turned her back towards to sailor and captain. She pulled out her money pouch and counted her money, “I only have…..three silver pieces and a copper piece,” Raine half whispered. ‘Wait. Think about this Raine. Those men are probably all wasted or as stupid as can be! Take advantage of it.’
An evil smile broke out onto Raine’s lips. “Nakamura, do you have another copper piece on you?” Raine asked him, still with an evil grin on her face.

When Raine grabbed him, he knew he was in trouble When a girl grabs you, you generally ARE in trouble. It just works out that way.
Then she basically screamed at him for a while, and then shook him. His head lolled back and forth, while his brain juggled around inside his head. He shook it back and forth quickly to regain his senses.
When she turned back to look at the crewmen, he couldn't think of what she meant to do. Then she got an evil smile.
He HATED when girls got evil smiles. They generally meant mischief and trouble, for all parties involved.
He sighed. "Yes, I do..." he handed it to her. "Whatever you're planning, just don't get us killed, alright?"
He really hoped she knew what she was doing. If she pissed them off again, they'd be dead meat, waterbenders or no.

“Thank you kindly,” Raine said as Nakamura handed her a copper piece. “Oh, don’t worry, I will not get us killed, I promise,” Raine said putting her hand over her heart, “But I’m going to need your help, ok?”
Raine started to whisper to Nakamura, “Ok, now these men are so drunk, or just plan stupid, to know the difference of what they agreed. Now if we want to get a ride we have to kind of make them think they’re getting a better deal. So just play along,” Raine said tossing up the coin and catching it in the palm of her hand as she walked over to where the captain was. “I’m so sorry for the way we acted,” Raine said holding a fake frown on her face, “We’re just upset because our grandmother past away,” Raine said lowering her head, “But me and my cousin, over here, were given a great amount of money from her.” The captain perked up, “Great amount, eh?” “Yes we got THREE silver pieces.” Raine hoped that Nakamura caught her drift. ‘Come on Nakamura…..’ Raine thought, ‘play along…’

Nakamura stumbled with his wording a bit. She hadn't hardly given him any time to think of what to say! And they WEREN'T RELATED!
You deserve it dumb***. You did it to her about 2 minutes ago...
SIGH... fine.
He said, "Oh yes, a whole 3 pieces sir, no lie. Of course, we heard that there's a ship down the way, you see, that would go for about 2 pieces. But just between you and me?" He moved closer. "They aren't the finest quality, if you take my meaning. We'd setlle for a higher price, you see, so long as the ship was better, which this one certainly seems to be."
He moved back, and smiled. "A bargain, then, sir? Passage for us, perhaps, for 3 pieces?"
Nice one Raine... I hope this works... because if it DOESN'T... we ARE dead...

The Captain’s eyes kept shifting to the other boat and then back to Nakamura, “I don’t know boy….I don’t think that ship is taking passengers,” The captain said crossing his arms. ‘Oh BAD!…that back fired....’ Raine thought. ‘Wait…Got it!’ “I wouldn’t be to sure about that,” Raine said walking over to the other ship. ‘Ok Raine…act cool…’ Raine swayed her hips and started to ask the man who owned the other vessel some question, pointing to the other ship with the drunken Captain. The man that owned the other ship nodded his head. Raine walked over to where Nakamura was, “He’ll take us for only one silver piece and two copper pieces,” Raine said, “Let us go, Cous-” “Wait a minute…We’ll take you,” The Captain said, “Raine thought it over, “…Alright then, we’ll go with you.” Raine said as they rolled down a rope latter for her and Nakamura.

As he watched the conversation, he cringed. Uh oh... we're in for it...
As Raine walked over to the other ship, he wondered what she could be doing. Was she going to try him too? That wasn't going to work... the ship was actually in DECENT condition, and the people on it weren't drunk. When he nodded, he wondered vaguely if she'd just sold him as her voyage ticket. Dry humor worked wonders... unless the joke was on you.
He grinned. Raine was good at this... the Captain gave in and rolled down a rope ladder. He grinned even bigger. "Nice Raine... we got a ride now..."
He took a step back. "Ladies first..."
'Even if they can't bend, always be polite to girls.
Well... some things his dad said were useful...

Raine smiled at her accomplishment. 'You NEVER call me little missy and get away with it....’ She thought to her self.
With Nakamura’s, “…Nice Raine…we got a ride...” Raine grinned back, “All in a days work. And remember, while we’re on this ship, we’re cousins, ok?” She said gently nudging him with her elbow. When Nakamura said, “...Ladies first,” Raine smiled, “You are quite the gentleman,” She teased climbing up the rope ladder before Nakamura. When Raine got on the ship she leaned back on the railing and covered her mouth. She wasn’t used to the smell of alcohol; let alone what it smelt like. It had brought back some strange memories….Most of them, really strange. Raine took a breath and blinked a few times. ‘I hope this ship isn’t always like this……..’
