Reed stopped laughing, "Hmm...I don't know. I just felt like laughing. I like laughing, you should try it sometime." Reed said smiling like an idiot at Jialing. Reed stretched his arms then gasped, " You called me an idiot. You know that hurts me Jialing." Reed said mocking her, putting his hand over his heart patting his chest, "Hurts right here," He said starting to chuckle again.
After a few minutes Reed stopped chuckling and looked in to the water, "Check it out, it's a fish!" He said excited, as if he had never seen one before. A sly, evil grin crept up on his face. Reed put his finger in the water. "You think it'll bite? Wait a second..Can fish bite? Or do they like inhale or somehting?" He asked Jialing as he watched the fish come closer to his finger. "That's it little fishy..." He said smiling. "Such a big fishy."

"You are an idiot..." Jialing muttered, under her breath again turning her nose up at him and his antics. This was exactly why she avoided people at all costs unless she needed something! Ugh! They were stupid! Could he not see the severity of the situation they were in?
"Jin sympatheizes with you, not me."
She breathed out a heavy sigh, rolling her eyes away as he spotted the fish. Salt-Water fish weren't exactly the best and thery had nothing to catch it with.. other than fingers. Though she did her best to hide a mildly amused grin, she shook her head at him and scolded in a harsh voice.
"I hope that fish bites you and then slaps you upside the head, Reed."
Drifting Drifting Drifting.. Jialing ran a hand up to her forehead, buring her fingers deep inside her hair, scratching at her scalp. Frist order of buisness.. getting some soap on the Island.

“Aw, you do Jin,” Reed said looking over to the dog, “I always knew you were a good boy,” Reed said looking to Jin. But his few soon changed to Jialing. “That’s not very nice Jialing. I’m just trying to lighten the moment.” Reed said defending him self. All the sudden the fish clung on to Reed’s finger, which took Reed in surprise. “AH!” Reed waved his hand around violently. “Oh my God! It does in-hale stuff!” Reed waved his arms around again, “Get it off, get it off, get it off!!!!” Reed yelled. “Demon fish! Demon fish!” Reed said whacking the fish on the wall. “Let go!” The fish let go of Reed’s hand and landed back in to the water swimming away. Reed inhaled and exhaled, “Yeah, you run! Or swim! Or whatever you do!” He yelled at the fish. “ I showed that fish who was boss,” Reed said smiling at Jialing.

The slightest hint of a laugh broke through her lips, her dark eyes widening with a moment of glee. Ah, now that was a great visual: Reed in full fledge panic with a fish attached to his hand. Oh that was halrious! She lifted a hand to cover her snickers and smirks.
Jin suddenly lept to his feet, though his legs shook. His tail was down, as he stretched out his neck, barking excitingly at the fish flipped about, refusing to release the tasty fingers he had snagged.
"I told you!" Jialing blurted out, her voice covered with laughter. As Reed slammed the fish into wood, she could not help but to crack up even more so. With the splash of the escaping fish ringing in her ears, she shook her head and pointed at him. "I told you! You are an Idiot!"

“Uh, uh, uh! I may be an idiot,” Reed said staring at Jialing, “ But I’m a proud idiot,” Reed stated in a “proud” manner. Reed looked over to Jialing. She was laughing and trying to cover it up. Reed started to smile, “Well at least I made you laugh,” Reed said as if he accomplished a task. “An besides, you told me that the fish was “bite” my finger. Which,” Reed lifted his finger, “It did not. But it did make a funny puttering noise and in haled my finger. If that’s even possible. No wait! It IS possible…” Reed’s eyes widen and a giant smile appeared on his face, “..I just made history! Jin,” He said moving over to the dog by Jialing, “You will be my witness! The he looked over to Jialing, “And you can also be my witness!” Reed laughed, “I can’t wait to tell Kai!” He exclaimed laughing some more.

"Kai? Who is Kai?" A slender brow lifted on her dirt covered face. The laughing smile was no longer there, having been replaced by an expression of digust. She was upset that she had been caught laughing, espically when she hated all people. Yes, Jialing was brooding of all things. She scowled, showing her obvious dislike of having to meet and deal with anynew people. Sure, Reed had offered her a job.. but that didn't involve meeting new people! Of course.. who knows what said new people would be willing to pay either.
Jin, who had since regained his strenght and was probably only pretending to get Jialing's pity, was leaping about the make-shift raft, barking his head off. The dog, with a tail going a mile a minute, lept up onto his hide legs. Big, wet, and flithy paws were thrown against Reed's chest as that dry tongue licked any patch of skin near by.
Rolling her eyes, Jialing turned her head away, and grew silent. A sudden intake of breath and she was on her feet with an outstretched. "Land! Reed, there's land!" A grin broke across her face, for just a moment before she returned to her usual scowl. Time to get off this freaking raft!

“Oh, Kai? He’s just an old friend that now owes my two copper pieces and a silver piece because of the bet we made about the fish,” Reed said still smiling. Reed saw Jialing’s scowl come back, but his view soon changed to Jin. Jin was hopping about like he was invincible. “Holy crap!” Reed yelled surprised as Jin jumped on to him. Reed moved his face up and out of reach of the dog’s tongue. “Ha-ha!... Seriously Jin, there’s a lady on deck.” Reed said straightening up and making a serious face which soon went back to a smile. Reed looked over to Jialing as she yelled, “Land! Reed, there's land!" Reed moved his face so Jin and his face were cheek to cheek looking over to the speck of land. “Finally! We can get off this crappy piece of drift wood!” Reed yelled now nose to nose with Jin. Reed looked over Jialing to a boat approaching them, “Hey Jialing, we’ve got company.”

Jialing would snicker. So they had made a bet over who could get their finger bitten by a fish? Childish and stupid.. With a heavy and obvious sigh, Her brown eyes rolled away from Reed and her dog as they bonded. Sickening.. The wind gently played with her hair, which had slowly dryed and was beginning to defy gravity once again. The back of her hand smeared the dirt across her forehead, as she stared at the slow waves that were bringing them ever close to the island.
As Reed pointed out the strange boat that was coming near them. Jialing gritted her teeth, her upper lip arching upward into a sneer. She turned quickly, stepping up to the edge of the raft. She swug her bow over her neck and shoulders, so that it crossed her chest. A hand flew to her left hip and drew from the leather harness a short knife. The blade was flithy, and the metal was dull.. though the edge was not. She held it in her hand awkwardly, the blade at the bottom of her hand with the worn, and flithy.
"..I don't like this.."

The ship approached Jialing, Jin and Reed. Three anchors of the ship quickly gliding in to the water and coming in contact with the bottom of the sea. Clouds of sand and dust blurred the water. A man jumped down from the ship landing on to the drift wood next to Reed making the the wall wobbling back and forth. Reed gripped his weapon looking at the man. Reed's eyes drifted to the man's hat. "You dirty sea dog!" Reed yelled at the man who laughed like there was no tomorrow. "You dare talk to me with such a tone!" The man yelled back at Reed pulling out his sword. "Yes! You. Dirty.Sea.Dog!" Both of them had their swords out, but the man soon lowered his, as did Reed. "Jialing," Reed said not talking his eyes off of the man, " Meet Kai. Kai this is Jialing and her dog Jin." Reed smiled to Kai then turned to Jialing and also smiled. Kai grinned to Jialing and titled his hat bit, "Jialing."

The woman's head dropped low, both dark eyes narrowing as she crinkled her nose. Her lips curved into a frown, as her arms crossed over her chest. She threw her weight to her right foot, her hips following. A curt nod was all the stranger would receive, along with a dry "Hi."
Strangers did not appeal to Jialing. Not one bit. Her eyes, a bright umber in the sunlight, drifted to her side. Jin was not there. No, the pup was standing beside Reed with his tongue rolling out of his mouth like a fool. His feathered tail was swaying back and forth, keeping perfect time like a metronome.
Jialing rolled her eyes away from all three of them and gritted her teeth. Great. Now her dog is a traitor to her! Lovely! So now what? This strange 'Kai' dude was now boarding their raft.. and he had a huge boat. Suddenly, the young woman turned to the two men and jerked her thumb at the ship. "You gonna give us a ride or am I going to have kick your butt?"

“You don’t want to get this one mad, Kai,” Reed started, “She knows how to hold her own.” Kai let out a chuckle and looked to Jialing. “No need for violence, Miss Jialing,” Kai said slipping his sword back in his sheath. “Hey boys!” He yelled off to the side, “You think we should let back an old friend, along with a new one?” Kai asked/ yelled to the crew. “Yeah!” “Of Course!” “Sure!” “Yes!” Yells of the crew all agreeing filled the air around them. “Sounds like a ‘yes’ to me,” Kai grinned, “Alright Boys! Two more on deck!” The cheers of fifteen voices rang; of course the voices all belonged to men. The men approached the edge of the ship. Most of the men were between the ages of fifteen and thirty, and most of them waving to Reed. “Hey Reed! Good to see ya!” Reed looked over to his caller, “Who are you again?” He jested. “Ah, you joker, Reed,” The man said throwing a half eaten peach at Reed. While Reed and his caller were in the conversation another man yelled, “Watch ‘er heads!” He said throwing down a rope ladder. Kai took hold of the rope ladder to help it stop moving. “Ladies first,” He said looking over to Jialing.

"...Greaaat." Drawing out the word, Jialing rolled her eyes, letting her arms fall loose. Her palms hit her hips with a punucating slap. "Lets do this then." Her enthusiasm was... dull to say the least. She then, did a quick double check of the most crucial buckles that held her harness to her and then, turned her savage eyes to Jin.
"Get on up there, Jin." The yellow dog looked back to Jialing, his warm brown eyes a bit uncertain at first until she waved her hand at the ladder. The shaggy mut then proceeded to scramble his way up the ladder, using not his paws, but the bend in his wrists to grasp the rope. His tail swung back and forth as a counter weight as the dog swiftly made his way up the ladder.
Impressed herself with Jin's climbing ability, Jialing gave the gentlemen a smug little smile, with narrowed eyes before scaling the rope ladder herself. Infact, she lept the last two rungs, landing in a crouched position on deck before standing. Solid ground.. or as close as you get!

"Holy crap! Jin can climb! I didn't know that," Reed said suprised while Kai just kind of stood there, receiving a smirk from Jialing. Reed laughed as he reached down and grabbed his bag. "Don't say it Reed," Kai said glareding at him. "I won't, I won't," Reed said holding up his hands, and starting to laugh again. Kai was already more than half way up, and then he looked down to Reed, who was still laughing, "Shut up, and get on before I deside to leave you here." Kai threaten. Reed shot up the ladder and rolled it back up.
Jialing, Jin and Reed were all on deck. The anchors had been pulled up and the ship was on its way back to Nadai.
"Alright men," Kai started, "We have two more guest, three count'n this 'ere dog. This is Reed, Jialing and Jin." He said pointing to them. "While they're here be polite to them....Weellllll...Be polite to the lady and her hound, treat Reed like a sailor. "Wow, thanks so much, Kai," Reed said sarcasticly.

Jialing turned immediately to the man, Kai, and poked him in the chest (THE INFAMOUS ZUKO TWO FINGER POKE!) with one finger. She lifted one of her brows, the other set firmly on her eyes as she grinned. "Tell your boys I can work twice as hard as any of them and cuss just as well." Her gaze drifted towards some of the men, and to Reed, before back to Kai. "I don't need any special treatment. I'll pull my own weight, bub." SHe took a step back, both hands coming to rest on her hips as she looked down to the shaggy dog who stood at her side. Maybe.. once she got some coins, Jia would buy a brush for the mutt and get the burrs out of his coat. Then, Her brown gaze traveled to the shrouds that ran from the hull to their masts and the brightly colored sails. She had been on a boat before, working for a whole month for a merchant... Of course, they were just heading towards Nadai island. She'd probably break off from them and head out on her own again..

Kai shrugged and Reed laughed, "Sure, I'll tell 'em," Kai said taking a few steps for ward, "Alright boys, new rule! Jialing 'ere is one of us! she wants to be treated like a sailor!" Everyone just looked at each other. Kai looked at all of them, just scanning through, "Well seems to me you all are the ladies! Get to work!" Kai yelled at them going up to the wheel, while all the other sailors were running about.
Reed just laughed. Kai clenched his teeth, "Reed, would you just shut the hell up!" Reed kept a small chuckle, but it soon ceased and he gave a pat to Jin. "Jialing since you can work twice as hard as any sailor here, take Reed and bring down the sails!" He yelled over to them.
Reed started to walk over to the mast, "You come'n?"
