Sunlight peeking through the curtains shined in his eyes, which had been been drifting open and shut since dawn. His bottom half covered in his blanket except for his right leg, Azar was otherwise dressed only in his unmentionables. His mind, however, was decked out with thoughts of his own existence. It had been but a short time since he had said those fated words to Ravi, but what frightened Azar most was that he meant it. He loved Ravi. The rest of their time at Barazoku Beach seemed to fly by in a heartbeat after that one day of indescretion followed by that night of heated passion. It felt so strange to limit himself to one person, but at the same time, it felt right.
So right...
Letting out a sigh, his warm silvery eyes opened yet again. Such a lazy morning after the preceding night, where it was rush, rush, rush until closing. Serving tea was more tiring than it looked. Azar assumed it to be one of the easiest jobs ever, but how wrong he was proven. At least he didn't ache like he did after work that night before, but he still didn't feel like crawling out of bed just then. Since his arrival at the Lovely Lotus, it was common for someone to be sent in and wake Azar. Most often Bai Wei, who seemed fond of kicking him in the ribs to wake him. Praise the spirits, was his dislike of Bai Wei as great as the day is long. Burying his face in his pillow, the barely-clad Azar tried to enjoy the last minutes of rest he would have before the day began.

Step step, Ravi was dancing at Basant's studio, he woke up around dawn and stretched before heading down to the dance hall to practice.
Working a in heated sweat, each movement was honed, and repeated to prefection. Ravi dance for several hours until he noticed on the sundial that he should heading back to the Lovely Lotus.
The normal plesentries where exchanged as Ravi walked in and greeted Indra and Gita, he passed Una and Bai Wei before heading upstairs.
Climbing the staires he passed Azar's room feeling that his man hasn't woke up yet. The thought of Azar has his man was oddly thrilling. Sighing lightly he got cleaned up in his room, washed his face and changed into fresh clothes as he got ready for work. He walked back to Azar's room and opened it.
"Hun, I getting ready to go to work...you should get up..Azar?" He walked over to his lover and shook him gently. "C'mon now..Indra doesn't like it when you sleep in like this." Ravi sat on the bed and smiled. "You gonna miss breakfast.."

Halfway asleep, face-down in his pillow with his blanket barely covering his body, Azar heard Ravi enter the room and try to wake him. As Ravi merely tried to jostle him from sleep with so very little force, Azar moaned and mumbled something indistinct. Rolling onto his back, he looked at Ravi and rubbed his own eye. "Yeah, whatever..."
Rolling back onto his side, he grumbled. The blanket wasn't covering what it ought to, and he figured any fumbling around might just wake him up or dismiss any attempts at comfort. Rolling back to the edge where Ravi sat, he rose to a seated position as well. Running a hand through his hair, he slowly got up and donned his clothes for the day. With his typical cordovan trousers, salmon pink robe, and plum-colored vest, as well as his burgundy shoes, he walked toward the door. Looking back at Ravi, he said, "Come on, let's go...my love."
Those last two words seemed so very strange, but not at all unwelcome.

Hearing that last sentance made Ravi blink, he could tell Azar was having a little trouble saying the last part. Sighing he followed Azar down stairs
Gita already had an apron waiting for Azar, "Hurry up and eat, you have to do tables today." Ravi gathered his thinks and kissed Azar on the cheek
"See this afternoon" Ravi walked down to the pastry shop and began his shift.
Coversations and disscussion weaved passed him as rolled and kneaded dough, he saw various people, and talked to a few. It was the simple "Hey how are you", "How's the weather." Talk the kind you hear everyday. It was common talk and rather boring but it kept Ravi from being too distracted. As the afternoon wore on, Ravi finally finished his shift marking his name on the paper with a stick of charcole he walked back to the Lovely Lotus.
"I hope Azar is Finished"

Azar's day of work was unremarkable and dissatisfactory to the point where he began to hate it. Toward the end of his shift, the constant shuffle of busing tables, taking and delivering orders, making tea, dealing with rude customers, and staying on his feet the entire time had descended him to a state where he was rather edgy.
Azar was normally this way, somewhat, but that particular day of work seemed so much worse. His feet and ankles were killing him, and he was ready to snap. After turning in his apron for the day, he really needed Ravi. It was a strange new feeling, being reliant on someone else for a change, but he knew his lover was the only one to boost his spirits.
Indra seemed to perceive something wrong, as he was often able to do, but Azar had headed to his room much too quickly for any fatherly advice to take place. Before long, he was flat on his bed again with his eyes closed and arms limply to the sides. Azar wasn't asleep just yet, but he was reaching that point.

Ravi stopped at Basants again to practice after his work at the pastry shop. Rather tired, evening came and Ravi walked to the orginal desination of the Lovely Lotus before he was side tracked.
He walked back home and through the back door, and was greeted by Gita. "I'm working on some quick dinner, Azar just got off, he is upstairs, here." She handed Ravi two bowls of Chicken fried rice and chopsticks. Ravi nodded as he walked up stairs and with a quiet knock he walked into Azar's room and annouced himself.
"I'm back home dear, I stopped at Basant's again for more practice I have to preform again tommarrow." He sat the bowls down on the table walked over to his bed and rubbed Azar's shoulders lightly.
"Rough day at work? Do you want to talk about it?" Ravi sat down on his bed running his hand through his lover's hair.

Through the floorboards below his bed, Azar had heard Ravi's voice echo above. In fact, he could hear everyone's voices as they spoke. Not quite what they were saying, but that they were, in fact, talking. He didn't greatly care what they were saying, but he did grow rather resentful that their muffked voices were delaying his slumber. Azar even supposed Ravi would appear soon.
He did. Walking through the door accompanied by a charming smell, Azar looked up to see Ravi holding two bowls with chopsticks. Burying his face in his pillow yet again, Azar moaned softly. He was fairly hungry, but he didn't feel like moving just yet. Maybe in a few minutes.
The backrub that Ravi soon gave him relieved a bit of tension, but his question reminded Azar of why he even felt grumpy in the first place. "Yes...and no, I really don't. Every day is a rough day..." He knew Ravi would understand, but not quite agree. His lover seemed to have a bit more work ethic, employing himself at places other than the Lovely Lotus as well as his dance training. Where Ravi had endurance, Azar did not - nor did he have any motivation other than earning his keep.
After a mere half-minute, Azar rolled over and looked at Ravi with tired gray eyes. Grabbing the bowl from his hand, but foregoing any show of gratitude, he sat at the bed's edge beside his lover. Between bites, Azar casually inquired of Ravi. "So...you're off tonight? Wanna go do something?"

Ravi ate slowly enjoying his food after a hard day working. He lisented to Azar sympathizing with him a bit. A new job can be a tad demanding. And getting use to a new place as well. Ravi learned to adapt quickly and adjust as well. He hated change, but instead of going agaist it he move with the flow.
Thinking about his job practicing with Basant gave him boost of confediance if there was one thing he would always have and never change it was his love and passion for dancing
"So...you're off tonight? Wanna go do something?" Asked Azar offhandedly Ravi finished dinner and put his bowl away.
The lithe dancer thought about it for a moment. "Sure I'm off tonight, I'll do some yogic excerize later in the evening really. As for a place to go. Well we can see a play or something in theater? Or oh! I know! Oooh this could be fun! Shopping!! We can go to get you nice new outfit for preforming how about that!!"

Azar hummed in disapproval at every suggestion, not quite finding a terrible appeal in any one given. Even the last activity, shopping, only piqued his interest a tiny bit more than the others. He supposed a new outfit could serve him well, as his current clothes were in a less than mint condition. Looking at Ravi, he shrugged his shoulders. "Sure, why not?"

Not long after that, the two were in the busy marketplace. The crowds at the capital were still going strong, even as the sun was beginning to set and the day drifted to dusk. Azar would let Ravi lead him wherever he wanted, even though he probably wouldn't exactly sparkle with glee at each outfit the dancer selected.
His lover may have had better fashion sense, but that didn't necessarily mean Azar would love each garment that was shown to him. Different people had different tastes, and Azar's preference would only be made known when Ravi started picking out clothes. Judging by the looks of things, that would be soon

Ravi was indeed excited at the idea of shopping for Azar, Ravi had a flexible taste in clothing. What might be radiant for one person is too loud for another. Or whats plain for one might might too dull to someone else. Ravi hoped that his fashion saavy and excellent taste in clothes would lead Azar into something nice
Ravi was at his familar clothing shop. He new the person there and the seamstress as well. Ravi pulled out a warm wine colored cloth and felt the material this would be a nice vest.
"Azzy what do you think of the wine colored cloth? Hmm? It would accent nice with your eyes.Hmm maybe something less purple. Ravi folded the cloth again and mulled around the store.
His head was hurting...it wasn't blinding but ever since the end of work his head was aching and the pain bothered him. He pulled out a lovely elderberry and dull red trousers checking for the sewing and stich work as well as the material "What about this one? It can fit you and the color is muted but not too dull, would you want something brighter? Maybe goldenrod or mango colored Ooooh! Poppy is very bright!"

The selections were a fine quality and the colors were superb, but Azar didn't really care. On second thought, he did care how he looked to a certain extent, but he found it hard to decide on what exactly he should choose. Perhaps that was why he was starting to feel perturbed and antsy. He knew nothing of their budget, but could safely assume that Ravi could afford anything he had his eye on. Ravi wouldn't tempt himself with something he couldn't afford, right?
"They look all right," Azar said about the last outfit selection, while he joined Ravi in looking over garments before he even finished his statement. He didn't much care for bright colors unless they served as accents, but was still not entirely sure what looked good with his natural coloring. But he did know he was drawn to purples and dark reds. The last three colors only made his nose wrinkle. "I don't think I like it that bright...how about darker, richer colors? Those," he said, pausing and pointing at the two garments Ravi picked out. "...I like those."
Picking up the garments, he draped them over his arm and put his free hand on Ravi's shoulder. Smirking, he said; "I trust your fashion sense. How about a few more outfits?"

Ravi smiled when Azar chose the elderberry trousers. He started looking at hanfu selctions that where for more rounder builds.
Ravi could find nice crimsons or yellows even a muted blue but nothing that he liked. Sighing he was about to look someplace out when a found a lovely indigo hanfu with pale yellow trim.
"Azar I found something nice what do you think?" Ravi was on a role when he found a matching creme sash. "Now now we need a vest." He said looking around for some good fabric before he returned to the wine colored cloth and took them to the seamstress.
"Is all?" Ravi nodded and with some slight haggling he got the clothes. Ravi smiled perkly before he walked out and ran into the one person he didn't want to see
"Father?" Chetan whirled around to Ravi his eyes looked over Ravi's modest clothing and Azar. "Wel...what are the odds. Good to see you to." Ravi frowned and nodded. "Yes I suppose." Chetan sighed, "I see you're still whoring your body." Ravi didn't say anything. His head was still killing him. Chetan turned to Azar and lifed his eyebrow. "Who the hell are you?"

It was the last thing Azar expected after buying all those clothes. What was so much fun in buying several outfits was cut short by the appearance of a very 'nototious' figure, to say the least. Ravi's father, of whom Azar had been related tales that were less than favorable, was now standing right in front of them. To top that off, he asked who Azar was.
The musician knew well that most people weren't fond of his lifestyle, and while the fact irked him, he was willing to keep his mouth shut just to stay out of trouble. Indra knew was he was talking about, it seemed. However, something about Chetan caused a fire to well in Azar's belly - perhaps it was how he referred to his lover as a prostitute. That not only made Azar mad, but it gave him ample reason not to hide his rage. Clinching his fist, he looked Chetan straight in the eye and spoke with a stern, matter-of-fact voice. "I'm Azar."
That moment taken to wrap his hand around Ravi's waist, he pulled his lover close to his side. Smirking, he said; "I'm your son's lover." So confident was he at that moment that he ignored what the people around him would even think. "It's amazing, but I didn't think Ravi's charming father looked so...human in person. I pictured you with horns, claws and a ring in your nostrils. Though I suppose the maggots and festering wounds would be too much." Azar was beyond sarcasm. The stories he heard were clearly not exaggerations, and he was every bit the protector he felt he should be. To him, it felt so right to have even one person in the universe to guard and cherish, and Ravi was that person.

Ravi regressed to his former state before he was disowned as quiet and submissive. It was always yes sir and no sir. Chetan walked around him and sighed. It was Azar's response and that jarred um out of his sub-servant mindset
"It's amazing, but I didn't think Ravi's charming father looked so...human in person. I pictured you with horns, claws and a ring in your nostrils. Though I suppose the maggots and festering wounds would be too much."
Feeling Azar wrap around his waist and say something to his father. Was very uncomfortable. His cheeks where red not from embarssment but from fever. His head was trobbing and he felt so tired. Chetan was aplaud at Azar's rude answer.
"Hmph, I would think you would have better taste, or at least common sense. Never think you would go so low as someone with no manners. You shame me, Ravi which is an impressive feat. Now if you excuse me I'm going to see my grandson I pray to Agni that he isn't a waste like you."
Chetan left leaving Ravi feeling sick and awkward panting he spoke quietly. "Thank you for defending me. I wish you wern't so rude. Nhhnn I'm...gonna..." With that Ravi started to slump to the ground losing consciousness.

What nerve, implying that Azar had no manners when his lover was insulted straight to his face. Azar capitalized on every right he had to return fire, and was only met with a wall of hatred so high that it blocked out the midday sun. Absolutely infuriating, it was. Ravi's father didn't even give either of them a chance to reply, either, before he sauntered away to make frivolous prayers.
Azar was left with a bitter scowl and sour taste in his mouth, shooting a glare that could melt solid ice. "Good riddance, asshole," he grumbled in an undertone, knowing that bastard couldn't hear him. He was just thankful Ravi was nothing like him, from what he had perceived. It was a bit bothersome to hear Ravi begin to scold him for his valiant defense, but what happened after that only peeled his eyes wide open.
"Ravi!" he shouted, grabbing hold of his slender body before it hit the ground. As worry crossed his face, he grabbed their purchases and ran back to the Lovely Lotus posthaste. Azar knew the blame lay on Ravi's father alone. Chetan's arrogance made him sick, so why wouldn't it be the same for his lover?
Back at the tea house, Azar burst into the door frantically with a limp Ravi in his arms. His face shimmered with sweat as he gazed down at Ravi's lifeless visage, nervous and concerned over what had happened. Thankfully, Indra and Gita were in plain view and ready to help.
