Azar sighed. That sublime moment tapered to a close when Indra appeared, his massive body lumbering down the road and ushering Ravi back to their home. Rather offended, Aza wondered if the owner of the Lovely Lotus assumed he was incapable of caring for his lover. The nerve. Grumbling, muttering under his breath, Azar stood from his seat and idly watched the tiny glow of fireflies flit and flutter about. He then leaned down a bit and helped Ravi to rise, taking his weakened state into consideration.
Indra seemed to consider the two as well, since he allowed them to dawdle a few steps behind as they walked down the empty road. Fingers loosely clutching his belt, the aged fellow turned slowly and wore a placid grin. Apparently, he was concerned for them both whether Azar realized it or not. Hand in hand, Azar's eyes were half-lidded, pupils silver like the moon, lips taut in a smirk.
As much as it seemed like he would return a witty jib, he kept his mouth shut for a few more seconds. Keeping a slow pace, Azar looked to the night sky and back to his beloved. Though sickly in appearance, Azar found a poetic beauty in how the breeze glided through Ravi's coal-black hair, while the gold hue of his eyes shone like a glassy sea.
When it came the moment to speak, Azar gazed at Ravi affectionately, as his arm loosened from the constraints of Ravi's spidery hand and journeyed up his shoulder. Holding him close, Azar delivered a delicate peck to his forehead. "I'll take care of you. You can bet on it."
Ravi and Azar spent that night in each other's arms, peaceful.
