Jericho had the invitation she lent Sekar approved by her mother, after meeting up with her in the crowd. Though the older woman didn't show anything other than a kind smile her daughter could see the twinkle in her catty eyes, she was proud of her daughter and ecstatic Sekar had flown their family's kite so valiantly. Madame Masaki, meanwhile, could do nothing but stand in a huff- perturbed that someone like the Doctor could gain Ai Xanin's admiration in just a few short hours. If anything this uplifted the young woman's mood even more. Ticking off her least favorite Madame in the Fire Nation was one of her favorite past times. Her mother consented to be back to the estate shortly there were just a few 'affairs she needed to attend', to quote the eloquent lady. She now road in a carriage toward the Xanin estate; kite clutched in her hand, seated next to Doctor Sekar Praaghi.
The carriage hit a dip making Jericho shift down the eloquent red seats. She quickly regained her posture, issuing a soft smile over at the Doctor. The ride wouldn't take long, but it was still polite to make conversation. As much as she hated her strict teacher, the young woman utilized some of the lessons she taught. "So. Doctor Praaghi." The soft smile on her lips shifted to a taunting smirk, her amber eyes flaring with deviousness. It was polite to make conversation, that much was certain, but Jericho had planned to take the conversation to a place that would make the Doctor squirm. It wasn't anything personal, she liked Sekar quite a bit, but if her past time was ticking off her teacher her hobby was pushing people's buttons. "What possessed you to steal a kiss from me at Kiros's ball?"

Sitting in carraige wasn't a new expericance for the doctor. Sekar had rode in them before mainly when getting medicine or something of that nature. Still Sekar felt mildly uncomfortable in them. He gets motion sickness occsionally. Having a pale and pained face, he hope to agni this will be over. Sighing he heard Jericho's question..
The raven healer didn't know how to answer that. Still he gave it his best shot. "I suppose it's because I was...attracted to you. I shouldn't have been so sneeky. Still it's not like you have let me anyway. Though I shouldn't be justifying it." Sekar felt a bump and covered his mouth. Ships was one thing, carraiges was another. He could deal with ships still he has gotten seasick over one. But carragiges were tight, bumpy and crowded.
Sekar concluded that he hated carraiges.
"Are we almost there?" Another bump had Sekar sliding to the other side groaning.

A soft frown caught on Jericho's lips as the fire in her amber eyes was doused. She wasn't so oblivious that she couldn't see Sekar wasn't feeling his peak. She put her response to his answer on hold, tending to more urgent matters. Slowly, as a comforting act, the young woman leaned over and placed a delicate hand on his knee. "We'll be there soon... Are you sure you're up to this? Having tea, that is." There was genuine concern in her voice. She didn't want her invitation for tea to turn into an illness. She squeezed his knee softly and offered a soft smile up, hoping to assure him that he'd be fine. "We'll be their shortly, I promise."
Just as the words left Jericho's lips the carriage eased into a stop. The driver walked around the side and opened the door. "Miss Xanin." Her bowed slightly as the common man stood by the door, holding it open for the young woman and her guest. The Xanin estate was magnificent from out front. The amount of property it expanded was a bit grandiose for Jericho's taste- they hard far too many frivolous rooms- but it was home, her home, and she loved the red walled manor. The young woman stood up, daintily stepping out of the carriage. She stood patient just outside the carriage door, waiting for Sekar to follow.

The tenderness of the guesture surprised Sekar, Jericho was being very caring. He smiled weakly to her. Trying to show that he was ok. Well sorta, at least he coudld control the feeling of hurling up.
They finally reached the manor. It was massive! Sekar has a weak grin and walked up to the gate with Jericho. The size was amazing.Sekar has never been in such a big house. Sighing he followed the servent to the garden. Sekar found the garden, just as amazing as the front. The beautiful, fountains and long grasses had a majestic appeal. Sekar took out some crystal ginger and nibbled on them to settle his stomach as he sat on a mat marvling the garden.
"Wow..." Was his only response. The Severent brough out a pot hot green and mint tea. Sekar sighed again. Honestly Bedazzled.
"So...you heard my response on way there Jericho." Sekar spoke pouring a cup of tea

All Jericho could so was smirk softly at Sekar's amazement. She had never known what it was like to live outside of this painted place of elegance and privilege, so it was hard to relate to how her guest was feeling. The young woman found the novelty of it amusing, if only slightly. It was refreshing to see someone who didn't guard their awe, who didn't wrap it up in fear of being shown up or injuring their pride. Innocent, was the word that came to her mind, much like the blush Sekar held on the night they met.
The Fire Nation girl followed one step behind Sekar, letting him lead himself through the garden to the tea area. She drank in his reaction graciously, enjoying every second of the unbridled awe.
Jericho sat down after him, the servant staying momentarily to pour Jericho's tea for her when Sekar was done doing his. She had almost forgotten about the tacky little bag with the cheap little sketchbook inside that she had gotten at the Festival. Slowly she took it off her shoulder and handed it to the Servant as he turned to leave. "Put this in my bedroom." Her voice was a wisp on the wind, the command tucked subtly in the calm folds of it.
The young woman turned back to Sekar as the servant left with her belongings and smirked, taking her tea in her hands. "You're right, I would not have let you kiss me, and you should not have tried to justify it" The cot smirk stood steadfast on her lips as she took a sip of her tea. Slowly, to draw out the tension, Jericho put down her tea cup before speaking. "But you said you're attracted to me, or at least you were, and I admit I'm intrigued. I'm over ten years your junior, Doctor Praaghi, and I'm curious as to what you see in me that..." She paused, once more to draw out the game she so loved to play. "Attracts you."

Sekar didn’t know how to respond to that. Drinking his tea he watched the flowers sway sleepily in the breeze. “I don’t know what. Maybe I am lonely, or maybe it’s been a while since anyone has caught my attention. I know you’re younger than me…maybe I am just a pervert.” Sekar shrugged not feeling to comfortable being grilled like this. So what if he was older than Jericho sixteen years older. But he was a man of class and eloquence, a it was quiet normal for a man his age to have a young wife.
Playing with the rim of his cup he watched a rose winged butterfly flutter to bush to bush looking for nectar. It decided to greet the doctor. It landed on his cup before it graced Sekar’s calloused hand. The doctored grinned lightly as the creature stood there fluttering its pale mauve wings. “Life…is a very fragile thing I have noticed. Like a butterfly it seems to be a brief flash of color before it disappears.” Sekar said sagely watching the creature flutter away. He sighed and poured more tea.
“I hope I answered your question.”

Jericho sat entranced by Sekar's words of life, her eyes focusing on the gentle butterfly that had taken refuge on Sekar's cup briefly. It was odd the butterfly metaphor had been applied to their situation, considering Jericho was often refereed to her by her father by a temperamental butterfly- eloquent and charming to look at but with the capability to snap. Two juxtaposing phrases joined in one.
"You're to eloquent to be a 'pervert'." Jericho's voice was the whisper of the incense smoke, quite and calming. She was quite sincere with what she had said, Sekar was the most educated, well traveled man she had come to be acquainted with thus far. The young woman took another sip of her tea, the warm liquid spreading through her. "You answered why you may be attracted to a young woman." Jericho continued with the same coyness about her that she had when she first asked Sekar. "And why you may be attracted to me." She paused once more setting down her tea cup, a slight breeze brushing her bangs away from her face to reveal both catty amber eyes. If what Sekar had said was his definite, or indefinite, answer than he could have been attracted to any young girl. There were certainly plenty of girls her age in the Capital City, and a majority of the eligible ones were at Kiros's party. She wanted to know, honestly wanted to know, why her?
"But what about me?" Jericho voiced her thoughts, the smirk having fell off her face. "Doctor Praaghi, if what you say is your answer why not fall into the company of some other, more willing girl? One who isn't as likely to bite off your ego?" She paused waiting for his answer, pursing her lips momentarily, this was a test, the young woman wanted to see if Sekar would pass it.

Sekar looked at the swaying flowers feeling the warmth of them sitting in the sunlight. Some days he would wish to be a tree or a flower. Gathering all his needs from the sun. No wants, no worries. Just to...be.
Then Jericho's prodding question jolted him back into reality. Doctor Praaghi, if what you say is your answer why not fall into the company of some other, more willing girl? One who isn't as likely to bite off your ego?" Sekar sighed looking down. What was he suppose to say? He didn't know how to answer that. Still unaware of the testing he gave it his best shot.
"Because there is no willing girl. I have not courted anyone in ten years. I've avoided people. But I don't know what you want from me Jericho, I just know that I feel connected to you I don't know, I just wanted to be with you." Sekar said lamely drinking his tea feeing uncomforable.

Jericho's eyebrow twitched, perturbed. He was dodging a real answer, slipping through her questions. His answers were fleeing, generic, nothing he was saying was concrete- excluding the sentiment about life and even then her could have spouted the phrase to hundreds of women before her. Taking in a breath and holding it for several counts before releasing it, the young woman attempted to calm herself. After all she had invited Sekar to her manor as way of thanks for flying her family's kite so well, not to make him panic. She could see clearly that the Doctor looked nervous, completely. She hadn't intended to subject him to her verbal barrage of attacks, it had just happened.
Jericho heaved a sigh, calming herself. She hadn't meant Sekar to feel so poorly, honestly, she would hate it if he associated her manor with the feeling of being on edge. "I see. Thank you for putting up with my questions, Doctor Praaghi, I'm sure you must be tiring of them." She had no idea what else to say after that, so she took yet another sip of her tea, hoping Sekar would continue to conversation.

Sekar looked at the empty cup feeling no reason to refill it. He sighed again. What did she want from him. Honestly, is this how she treats all men? No wonder she is still unmarried. Sekar felt bitter, and forced. He honestly didn't wanted to be stabbed verbally over and over was ridicious. What did she hope to gain by assaulting him?
Sekar stood up , "I am sorry for not awsering the questions the way you wanted me to. I don't know what to say. And it's uncomforable to be questioned like this, I hope you understand." Looking at the garden he walked over and felt the soft petals of the flowers. He would love to have a garden of his own but they take alot of time and effort to grow and nurture.
"I wish I had the time for a garden. It would be nice to have one." Sekar sighed as turned to walk to the door. "Shall I take my leave."

Jericho pushed down the need to panic at his questioning to leave and kept her calm. She stood slowly and walked over to the flower Sekar had been examining. A soft smile crossed the young woman's lips- deciding to ignore both the slight outburst over questioning and his question to leave. "It is lovely, isn't it?" The young woman graced the back of Sekar's hand gently to gather his attention. "Would you like to take a tour? I can promise you there are plants that most have never seen before." A teasing snicker slipped through Jericho's lips as the regained her smirk. "Though, considering you have traveled just about everywhere, or so it would seem, odds are you have seen them."
She paused a moment, stepping around Sekar to the path toward the heart of the garden. Where the man-made koi ponds were and the perfume was so strong you could swear you had just entered paradise. Jericho didn't bother to wait for an answer. "Are you coming?" She grinned, almost teasingly, over at Sekar, inviting him to join her.

The healer sighed and followed Jericho to where the koi ponds where. The smell of the flowers was very strong almost jarring to the doctor. Still as he walked the center he couldn't help but smile at the koi ponds and the garden.
"It's very pretty Jericho. It's peaceful actually." He found an orinate stone bench where he sat. Myrtle over hung and added a spicy perfume to the air. Sekar just looked at the pond not knowing what he would say. Slouching he sighed titling his head pensivly. Feeling bored he finally tried for conversation again.
"I suppose you visit the place a lot, it seem like very quiet and restortive spot. Is that lavendar growing?" Asked Sekar as he stood up to inspect.
"Mind if I take some with me..lavendar can make a great relaxer, the smell is comforting." His mind again went into doctor mode thinking about herbs he could use for treatments, "Do you have any basil or lemon balm too-ur..I'm rambing aren't I?" Sighing he got up.
"Sorry about that..."

Jericho smirked coyly setting herself down on the stone bench by the koi pond. "After the way I interrogated you, you have no need to apologize, Doctor Praaghi." She paused a moment, enjoying his fascination in what she saw as trivial yet again. "Feel free to take as you will, I doubt anyone would notice if you did. The garden is mostly for show, Doctor Praaghi, and considering my mother has had no reason to show it off I'm the only one who spends much time in here- excluding the attendants." The young woman calmly brushed her bangs away from her face, only to have them gently slide back into place.
"And in answer to your question, yes, I do spend quite a bit of time in here. It's a nice place to be alone, enjoy the sun, read or paint..." Jericho trailed off for a moment, forgetting herself a moment. She had forgotten who she was and who she was with, and to let something so personal spill form her lips went against nearly everything she was viewed as. Straightening her posture slightly she turned to look at Sekar, eying him carefully to see if he caught the slight slip. "If you need anything to keep what you'd like in, just tell me, I'm sure a servant could find something."

Harvesting the herbs Sekar began to think of ways he could use the herbs for medicine. Mostly quick salves, teas and a few strong infusion. So this garden was for show? Hmm what a waste, if there is one think Sekar disliked it was athestics before fuction. Why aren't people using this garden? Sighing he got up and counted his herbs. He heard Jericho say:
"And in answer to your question, yes, I do spend quite a bit of time in here. It's a nice place to be alone, enjoy the sun, read or paint..."
Sekar understood the need of being in quiet places just to be alone with ones thoughts very well. How many times has he secluded himself in his study. Sitting on a bench again he looked thoughtful before smiling playful
"Hmm so you like to paint? Could aske you to do a portriate of me sometime?" Sekar said with a grin
