Seated on the bamboo bench, Pamuy looked up from her menu and stated her choice immediately after Sahara spoke up. "I'll have the stir-fried vegetables."
She could definitly tell Ritika and Sahara were up to something as they earlier walked through the bar section of the restaurant, though she didn't bother to look behind herself to see Zahira's expression. Those girls loved that sort of life. Pamuy did not. This set her apart, and caused her quite a bit of exasperation at times.
With her full tea cup before her, she held her hand over and turned her palm upward slowly, bending a grape-sized orb of hot tea that followed her hand. Blowing on the floating dark liquid orb as it neared her rosy lips, she moved it into her mouth and smacked her lips. It was a fine jasmine tea, very rich flavor, though it burned her tongue slightly. Not her favorite type of tea, but it served its purpose.
She looked over to Auina still trying to make her decision, then back at Sahara. The response to her fellow Flame Dancer was calm and friendly, though delayed due to her tea-drinking. "Yes...I hope so too."

Auina looked to the waitress, and as such didn't notice the whispered exchange between Ritika and Sahara. If she had, certainly she'd be frowning and nagging at them about hopping off to get drunk when they were supposed to be getting the wheel. Course...they had to find the carpenter first.
"I would like your curried hen please."
Having travleed with the Flame Dancers all her life, she had developed a bit of an affinity for spicey food. As the waitress made her way to deliver their order, the earthbender helped herself to a bit of the tea. She took a cautious sip after blowing on it a bit. Mmm, jasmine tea. Her favorite, right along with mint tea. As the others wished for the food to arrive quickly, Auina frowned as another thought crossed her mind.
She set her tea cup down as she spoke, "I should have asked if the carpenter was here."
A codger of an old man at the table behind the women perked up as he heard mentioned of the carpenter....of course....let's forget the fact that he'd been staring lecherously at the women since the moment they walked in.
"You're lookin' for the carpenter, eh? 'Spose about now he's getting soused next door," the old man said, his words whistling a bit from the prominent lack of teeth on his top jaw.
Auina sighed, rubbing her temple in frustration.
Great...now Ritika and Sahara will want us to hop on over and find him, I bet...

Zahira followed silently, not minding much where the other girls went, just happy to be out and about. She was eyeing the crowds of people milling about and going around their chores and daily rutines.
But when the other girls mentioned food, Zahira was all ears. She quickly agree with the girls to good for food, and followed closely behind Pamuy, black hair flying out of the lump of a bun at her neck.
The other girls found a place to sit, and ordered their food.... to Zahira, it all sounded good, but after careful consideration, her amber eyes locked on a several characters that read: "Fried Eel."
Oh, man. Fried Eel was her favorite, only eaten in the rare times that their little gypsy troupe had hit the sea or the occational river with a small population of eels, or when they found them for sale at a reasonable price for the whole troupe. It also looked like fried noodles and vegitables in a spicy peanut sauce came with it, too, and Zahira was delighted.
"I'll take the Fried Eel with the fried noodles and vegitables!" she practically cried. The waitress glared, but took the order, and Zahira picked up the tea that was poured and sipped it. The heat didn't bother her; in fact, the hotter, the better.
She heard Auina say something about asking around for the carpenter, but another voice, this time gruffer, more gnarled, said, "You're lookin' for the carpenter, eh? 'Spose about now he's getting soused next door." Zahira jumped, and looked at the old man thoughtfully, before turning back to her compainions. Half of her wanted a drink or two, but she doubted a "drink or two" was on Sahara or Ritika's mind. Pamuy would be completely against it, the damnable wet blanket that she was, but Auina could be pursuded. Still, the danger of incuring Juning's wrath weighed heavily on Zahira. There would be plenty of time to get plouged at the show, and right now they had something to do. She could have her drink or two later, and Sahara and Ritika could get plastered, Auina could decided for herself, and Pamuy could go be her wet-blanketness somewhere FAR AWAY from them.
"Auina, Pamuy, why don't you go to the bar and find him... the rest of us will stay here until you come back..."

Pamuy sat patiently, using her fan to cool down her tea, when Zahira chimed in with a suggestion. Well, more like an order, but Pamuy thought the offer was reasonable. Though she thought she and Auina wouldn't get a chance to enjoy her food as soon as the other girls. Still, the reason they came was not to eat, but to find that wagon wheel. They should keep on task, and of all of them, Pamuy was most likely to do just that. And the fact that the two more responsible ones were were asked to be sent showed a remarkable amount of thoughtfulness and maturity on Zahira's part. Pamuy was impressed.
"Wonderful idea, my friend!" Pamuy said with a beaming grin, soon sliding off her seat and turning around. She gently motioned her hand toward Auina and back at the doorway. "Come along, Auina, we shouldn't dilly-dally!" She pivoted toward the door and quickly walked in that direction, probably with Auina following in close proximity, and softly spoke up while her gentle sky-colored eyes were fixed on the doorway. "I just hope our food doesn't get too cold by the time we return."
As they stepped out onto the street, she eyed the door to the adjacent tavern and made her way inside.

"Auina, Pamuy, why don't you go to the bar and find him... the rest of us will stay here until you come back..."
Auina was indeed surprised that Zahira was the one suggesting that she and Pamuy go to the bar...the two more responsible ones out of the bunch of gypsies. She definitely was not about to argue though. And while the prospect of coming back to cold food wasn't all that appealing, they were here for a reason. If that meant she had to wait to eat while she and the waterbender were next door at the bar, then so be it.
"Wonderful idea, my friend! Come along, Auina, we shouldn't dilly-dally!"
She cast a smile at the other Flame Dancers at the table, before she was on her feet, following Pamuy out of the door.
"I just hope our food doesn't get too cold by the time we return."
"Yeah, curried hen just doesn't taste the same cold..."
Auina paused a moment as the pair approached the door to the tavern. Things were sounding pretty rowdy inside, and it was only midday. It was a good thing it was she and Pamuy, rather than Ritika and Sahara, going inside. With a sigh, she finally followed the waterbender inside.
As the gyspsies entered, the room grew quiet. It wasn't often new folks entered Zhy...and certainly none of them were as attractive as these two specimen. Auina swore that she could feel eyes boring into her from all the stares she and Pamuy were getting. It made her uncomfortable...very uncomfortable.
She leaned forward, whispering in Pamuy's ear, "Let's go talk to the bartender. If anything, he'll know where to find the carpenter..."
The sooner the earthbender could get out, the better she would feel...
Auina did her best to ignore the continued stares being aimed at herself and her friend, as she approached the bar. When she spoke though, one wouldn't be able to detect a hint of nervousness.
"Excuse me sir. We're looking for the carpenter. We might be here," the earthbender said in a polite tone of voice.
The bartender looked up from the dirty mug he was wiping with his stained rag. "He'll be at the table in the back. Can't miss him. He's got a peg leg..."
A peg leg?
The mahogany haired gypsy smiled and responded, "Thank you, sir."
Her eyes were scanning the tavern again, until she saw the carpenter. He was rather portly...with the peg leg that the bartender had mentioned jutted out to the side a bit. Auina cast a glance at Pamuy, then moved to the back of the tavern, addressing the carpenter.
"Excuse me..."
No response...
"Sir?"
Still no response...
Auina moved a bit, so she could get a better look at the man's face...and then her own took on a look of dispair.
"He's passed out..." she whined.

Crossing her arms over her chest, Sahara gave a “humph” of annoyance, directed at Zahira. Since when had she become so…so responsible? She must be changing, growing more into a woman. But still, Sahara needed her share of fun before she became like that, didn’t she? Well, Sahara knew in her heart that the other belly dance was just trying to care for her. Still, a single drink wouldn’t affect her too much…
Within the moment, Pamuy and Aunia left the room, leaving Ritika, Zahira, and herself inside the restaurant. Reclining in her chair, giving a soft glare at Zahira’s direction, Sahara patiently waited for her food. Hopefully, it wouldn’t take too long. The smell of the food was drifting from the kitchens, and soon enough, the same waitress who had taken their order came back out with the food.
Glancing at Sahara, she raised an eyebrow. “Where have your other two friends gone?” she asked inquisitively.
Sahara shrugged her shoulders; still slightly annoyed she couldn’t have gone with Pamuy and Aunia. “They’ve gone to meet someone, just leave their food there.” If they weren’t back soon, Sahara could heat the food with her fire bending.

"Woohoo!" Shouted the dark haired man who sat with his rearend against the wagon's wall, his feet braced against the footrest. The two Ostrich horses strained against their harnesses, pushing their shoulders into it as their non-functioning wings flapped wildly in the air as they raced wildly down the main street of Zhy. It was Bai-Wu, the wilder twin who bounced along at the behest of the reins, keeping them tight even as the ostrich horses ran, seemingly, out of control.
The flags that hung from the roof of the wagon fluttered in the wind, many torn and stained from years of worth. A few metal pans and pots banged from their hanging place under the small overhang, The shutters on the windows, which for this exact reason contained no glass, were barely held back by their ties, banging against the wooden shingles of the wagon.
You see, they had to make up time and beat the Caravan to Zhy, the next destination and site of their next major preformance. Bai-Wu, reckless as always, had once again ignored Li-Wu's advice and subjected Miss Feng, Little Tarak, Fukurou-kun and Li-Wu to a wild ride in the wagon. It was finally along the mainstreet of Zhy that the Ostrich Horses began to slow, even as the citizens parted like a sea, dashing to the edges of the road to avoid being runover. They dashed past a tavern, hopping at mid-day lunch, only to come to a crashing, screeching stop that nearly sent the wagon tipping over. Bai-Wu stood triumphantly, his long hair billowing in the wind behind him like a sheet almost. He put his hands on his hips, feet shoulder lenght apart as he proudly boasted.
"I told you I'd get all here in one peice!"

Pamuy sighed after Auina's statement. The man they had been searching for, whom they had finally found...was unconscious. Though rather than cry over spilled milk, so to speak, Pamuy decided to take action. Calmly, she told her friend, "Step aside, Auina."
She took a step toward the man and removed the cork from the water jug that hung at her side. Pamuy used her bending to pull half the water from the small container and suspended the globule of liquid above her right hand. "Hope this works...", she said, mostly to herself, but also to Auina in part.
Attracting a few stares from the bar patrons, the petite waterbender flung the water straight into the carpenter's face. Droplets of water flew everywhere at the impact, splashing onto Pamuy and Auina as well as the bar the man leaned upon, but the impact caused the man to jolt backward and open his eyes. Afterward, Pamuy was standing with her hands behind her back, looking innocent and kind as the man settled his eyes on the two gypsies. With a series of blinks, the carpenter took a deep breath and spoke. "Huh...wha...? Who're you two...?"

Auina regarded Pamuy a moment when she was asked to step aside. She didn't argue though, and moved back. Eyes widened a bit as she watched the waterbender remove the cork from the jug she wore at her hip, bending the water within to pull it out.
"Hope this works..."
"Pamuy! I don't think-"
Too late. The drunken carpenter was no drenched from having the water flung into his face.
"That was entirely necessary..." Auina finished, as the carpenter was rather rudely awakened.
With a sigh, she did her best to put on a polite front, as the carpenter inquired as to who they were.
"Sir, my name is Auina Kym, and this is my friend, Pamuy. We're in need of your services."
The portly man looked them over...before rubbing a grubby hand over his nose. He didn't say anything in response though. Now that he was awake? He was taking in the appearance of both the women, letting his gaze linger on uh...certain assets. Auina felt uncomfortable, but forced herself to continue speaking with him in a friendly, polite tone.
"You see, our caravan was on its way to Zhy when we broke a wagon wheel. We really need a replacement as soon as possible."
Bleary eyes looked the women up and down again...and then he let out a gruff response, "Sure...it's gonna cost you though, if you need one quickly..."
"Well, we are due here for an engagement...so we really need the wheel rather quickly," Auina replied, smiling sweetly. "How much?"
Another lecherous glance was cast on the women...before he replied with an utterly outrageous price. "20 silver pieces."
Auina blinked. "Pardon me? I believe I misheard you...normally wheels for our caraven cost less than 10-"
"20 silver pieces. That is unless..."
"Unless..."
An overly eager grin spread on the old man's face as he looked the women over again. "Unless you can really convince me to drop the price..."
From the look on his face? Auina wasn't interested in what he had in mind for "convincing." She tugged on Pamuy's sleeve.
"Let's just go...surely there is another carpenter in Zhy who can help us..."
Things were not going well at all, and it was aggravating. The earthbender made her way out of the tavern, assuming that Pamuy would follow behind. As she passed through the door way, she heard the murmurs of the citizens.
"What a maniac..."
"Where did he learn to drive?"
"What a hunk..."
Auina's eyebrow rose...her curiousity was definitely piqued at this point. She slid through the crowd, apologizing here and there, until she was close enough to see what the hubbub was all about. A puzzled expression crossed her face as she saw one of the caravan's wagons was the source of the excitement...and Bai-Wu was standing in a rather victorious pose upon the wagon seat.
"What is Bai-Wu doing here? I thought he and Li were going to meet back up with the caravan..." Auina said aloud.

Pamuy was peeved at the man's outrageous demand. She would have been fine simply haggling with the man, but that last comment coupled with that facial expression was almost too much for the waterbender to bear. Auina soon left, urging the petite woman to follow, but Pamuy had to give him a piece of her mind. Pouring on a firm sort of kindness in her voice, she rose her hand to her chest, about to state her proclamation, "Sir, please. We..."
Then, she was interrupted unkindly. After inadvertantly walking too close to the man, she found the man's arm suddenly wrapped around her waist, with his other hand going where it ought not. Cornflower blue eyes flickering back and forth, Pamuy was mortified. "Now that's what I'm talkin' about!", said the carpenter as he held Pamuy around her tiny waist.
Politeness would get her nowhere this time around. She swung her arm downward and back to the water jug at her waist, then bended the water out into her hand like she did before. "You Pig!", she said as a globe of water plummeted into the man's smug face.
He loosened his hold on her waist and she struggled free, taking that break in time to run away. But to prove her point, she stood in the doorway, turned back at the man and pointed. "Learn some manners next time!"
Feeling hurt and violated to a degree, she crossed her arms with a look of discomfort on her face. Almost as though it were too cold outside, even though the air was warm and balmy. Tears welled up in her eyes as she heard the crowd murmuring and walked up behind Auina. Sniffling and rubbing her eyes, she saw Bai entering town. Her mood then shifted to one of vague surprise at seeing her fellow caravan member enter the city.
Softly, she muttered, "Bai, you nut..."

"Auina, Pamuy, why don't you go to the bar and find him... the rest of us will stay here until you come back..."
Ritika pouted crossly at Pamuy and exchanged disappointed glances with Sahara. Darn Pamuy and her mature responsible self. Ritika propped her head on her hands and curled her legs around the table leg restlessly, hoping the girls were okey. After all, nothing about their clothing seemed demure.
A sudden loud clanging and whooping of voices woke Ritika from her miserable stupor. She glanced around the restaurant curiously. Surely, no one in the quiet town of Zhy would cause such a racket. Ritika slid from her seat and in two steps, glided to the entrance of the tea house. She clung to the door frame and stuck her head out curiously.
There, standing before all the curious civilians was Bai-Wu, perched on top of the wagon seat and beside him, Li. Ritika waved at them frantically and turned to beckon the others over. "Look! Bai 'n Li are here!" she beamed.
With that, she spun on the spot, skipped to the wagon and invited herself to a seat on the foothold. "How'd you guys get here so.. quickly?"

Sahara twirled her finger around an empty plate. When would the food be here, and where the hell were Aunia and Pamuy? Those two better not have gypped Sahara out of some fun at the bar…Sighing, the young fire bending gypsy proper her elbows onto the table, and rested her chin between the space formed between her hands. Apparently, the others were getting bored as well, though Ritika noticed something outside. In a flash, Ritika called the other outside, claiming Bai was here.
“Naw, couldn’t be…” Sahara said to herself, “How could they get here so quickly?” Nevertheless, the belly dancing fire bender noticed the familiar faces outside. Before smiled to the waitress, who in return, gave her a disgusted remark, obviously unpleased about something … “Would you mind packing this food to go?” Sahara inquired. The waitress gave the most unpleasant nod, almost glad to have the gypsies out of the restaurant.
Walking outside, she met up with the other flame dancers, and turned her head to Pamuy and Aunia. “So,” she said apprehensively, “What did the carpenter say? Will he make us a wheel?”

Auina heard Pamuy mutter behind her, and when she turned to regard the waterbender...it looked as if the girl had been upset? A bit of moisture? She didn't get much of a chance to ask though, as first Ritika and then Sahara piled out of the grill after catching wind of Bai-Wu's grand entrance.
“So...What did the carpenter say? Will he make us a wheel?”
Auina turned her cappucino colored eys to the firebender, shaking her head. "He...asked for too much," was all she would say.
She cast another worried glance at Pamuy...but at the time, she didn't feel it prudent to ask what was the matter. She assumed it had something to do with the carpenter's response to their request though. She would ask the woman about what had happened once they got on the road again, when there weren't so many folks about.
"Might as well and go greet the twins...maybe they can help us out..."
With that said, she walked out toward the wagon. A lump formed in her throat as Auina's eyes caught sight of Li-Wu, Bai's twin, a very subtle blush creeping across her cheeks. Years ago she and the twin had been involved in a relationship...and it had ended on good terms. But still...she held feelings for the twin. Of course, she would never admit to it...but most of the women in the caravan knew of the earthbender's feelings to the man.
She walked up just as Ritika asked them, "How'd you guys get here so.. quickly?"

Loud rumbling caught the three gypsy girls' attention, and Zahira rushed outside with them to see what caused it. There, perched in the wagon seat looking rather pleased with himself, was one half of the twin princes of their caravan, Bai-Wu, the white crow. Zahira flashed a crooked grin, and shook her head. He was flashy, to be sure, although once apon a time, she was, too. Hey, she understood, it got the girls for him, many of them in his own caravan family. She herself felt too distant from the boys to be romantically involved with them, but she knew that Auina and Ritika both had incounters with Li. She wasn't sure of Sahara, but pretty sure Pamuy hadn't been with one of the boys.
Unconciously smoothing her dirty, ebony hair with little sucess, she approched the wagon too, and heard Auina ask Li about how quickly the got here. Zahira racked her brain, and turned to Bai to say, "Yeah, you had a couple a' ladies to drop off, right? And Fuku-kun's with you..." She glanced around, wondering if maybe the twins hadn't pushed the Water Tribe flutist off a cliff or something. He and the twins did not get along well.

The jolting and rumbling of the wild ride made Tarak laugh and giggle, but Xia Feng was feeling naseaous. Things banged around, and Xia was hit in the head once by an unsecured pan -- luckily, it wasn't that heavy, so it only smarted for a moment.
Gripping Tarak, Xia Feng pushed her head out of the window to see a few girls, whom she recognized from the caravan from the brief month she had been with them, around Bai and Li. Checking over herself to make sure she looked alright, she opened the wagon door and stepped out, nearly taking a tumble since she was unused to the steady, firm ground. Tarak drooled and cooed appreciatively at the stillness he was now in, as much as he enjoyed the reckless ride Bai-Wu had provided everyone with.
Xia Feng stepped over to the front of the wagon best she could, standing near the boys. She didn't know the girls' names, but knew that they all performed. Two were belly-dancers, one a contortionist, and the other two acrobats of sorts.
"Hello," she murmured shyly.
