"Ughhhhggg, Does mah head hurt. Gods I have been up all night." Kulap rolled out of bed and stumbled around for something to eat. Her spirit dice laid hap-hazard on the ground, her spear staff was on the dining table, and various bones and items where there as well. Kulap was busy last night. She looked at her sleeping husban in the hammock eyes closed and dreaming.
"Imma gonna git breakfast Dan," Kulap took her staff/spear and headed out of the tree house looking for some food.
She walked with Butchie through the darker part of the swamp eyes peeled for anything that could be breakfast. "AH HA." With a quick snatch, she took a bunch of wild possum-chicken eggs from a nest and headed home. Kulap looked around for fruit, but she couldn't find anything ripe. She climbed back up to the house to make breakfast. Fried possum-chickedn eggs, "Git Up Dan! It's breakfast time!"

Dan-dan's eyes flickered slightly at the sound of Kulap's voice. Brief, blurry glimpses of her across the room where their fire pit was located spurred him to try and stay awake. He let out an indecipherably grumble as he stretched his long arms out to their fullest and then brought his hands back to rub the weariness from his eyes. Mornin'..." he grumbled, rolling slightly so that he was sitting with his feet over one side of the hammock he'd been laying in. "Those eggs yer cookin'?"
The sleepy swamp-dweller hoisted himself to his feet, but the sudden shift to vertical position didn't give his body the time it needed to fully awaken. With not enough blood getting to his head, Dan-dan's vision suddenly went painfully blank and he grasped onto the supporting rope of the hammock to keep himself standing for a few seconds until his bloodflow picked up enough of the slack. He shook his head a few times and made a sound of distate. "Hate when that happens," he muttered to himself before starting towards Kulap to wish her good morning.

Butchie waddled over and took his food bowl over and banged it on the ground. Kulap took a skillet and bang frying the eggs. "Yeah it's eggs and yew better feed Butchie he sounds hungry." Kulap looked for some curry powder to put on the eggs. When her familar roared loudly for breakfast.
Kulap took fish head and threw it into Butchie's food dish. "Thar ya go, now keep quiet." Butchie nibbles his breakfast as the shaman servers hers and her husband's.
"Here yew better eat, if ya wanna work. I need to git to makin' those healin' salves. There is a rash goin' round." She sip her tea and took a pair of eggs from the skillet. "Make sure yew save the fish heads fer Butchie, turtleduck liver is expesive and hard to catch. Oh that reminds me, I need to go shoppin' today, whut do we need. Well linens, rice, aloe." As she ate her breakfast with quiet contraplation, she spat out. "I wonder how much deer testicals cost?"

Their pet catfish-gator finished his dinner in a few quick chomps of his large jaws and then scuttled past Dan-dan on his way to his corner of the tree-house.There was a scattering of rags and old pelts that made up Butchie's bed as well as a well-gnawed femur bone of hog-monkey. Dan-dan watched him for a few moments before sitting down beside the fire and accepting a wooden plate covered with a helping of eggs from Kulap. She had been saying something, but he'd only really caught the last part.
"Idunno," he said, an eyebrow raised in slight confusion, "But I'd be kinda worried if you could even find a person who cares to keep them in stock..." Dan-dan shuddered away the mental image of a jar of deer privates floating in some kind of preservative chemical. "Ick.... Whactha need stuff like that fer anway?"
He picked up one of the eggs by its white and dropped it into his mouth, chewing the whole thing down while trying to suck in some air to cool down the hott yolk. Some of the yellow center dripped down the corner of his nouth and he wiped it away with the back of his wrist. "And please don't say 'Dinner'..."

Kulap gulped her tea and giggled, "Mmmm I wunder whut fried deer balls wuld taste like anyway. But the testicals are for the rash thats been going around if you have been listening. She rumbled poking her finger at him.
Butchie snarled something, that could sound like annoyance, but the shaman paid no heed to her familar. She scratched her right breast and took another egg.
"Thar normally dried, and sold in herb shops, Nehguu normal has them, but the prices change all the time. Imma gonna grind them and put them in pultice with aloe, ginsing and rose hips for a salve for the rashes." She licked fingers and leaned back.
"Though when I git a free mintue and go huntin', I'll make sure find a nice big stag, with the biggest set of equiment for dinner." She smiled in joking manner waiting to see what Dan-Dan's response would be.

Dan-dan had already started chewig down his second egg when Kulap made her last remark and it gave him a few moments to think up a response. He held up one finger, telling his wifeto hold on for a moment while he gulped down the last bite and then cleared his throat. "You can get do whatever ya want with the stag's privates s'long as they don't end up on mah plate," he said, a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth.
Dan-dan placed his empty plate on the floor beside him and reclined slightly as well. His arms were stretched out to their extremes and he leaned slowly side to side to stretch out the muscles in his shoulders. He continued for several seconds before sitting up straight and tossing his wodden plate with practiced ease into a tub of water that was placed against the nearest wall. It was a place for dirty plates. linens, cups, and anything else that needed washing. After that, a quick glance out the window at the amount of sunlight reminded him that he'd need to head out with the other fisherman soon and set out the fishing nets.

Kulap also looked at the sun, she need to prepare for clients. Well customers, victims, whatever the folks that came for her treatments. She smiled softly to Dan-Dan and got up and began to wash the dishes.
"Yew know, I think were finally gittin' along." She stated calmly as she stack the clean dishes and took out the linens. She bended the water out of the tub and refilled it with fresh river water.
"Now git, the clients are commin' and I need to git ready." She took out her staff and healing supplies as a few girls walked in giggling.
"Oh Shaman, ummm, we heard you had love potions...is that true." giggled one of the girls. Kulap rolled her eyes. She when to the back room and took out a few bags, and in a dull voice, "Poor it in his tea, that will give him a jolt in bed." The girls stared blankly and sidled out of the door.
"Him I wounder if I should poor it in yours." A wild smirk crossed the shaman's lips

By the time Kulap's first customers had arrived, Dan-dan had already picked himself up and fetched his oar from the next room over. He smiled politely at the pair of younger girls who looked like they were in their mid-teens, but otherwise tried to stay out of the way as he went about filling up a waterskin with some fresh water so he'd have something to drink later.
"Poor it in his tea, that will give him a jolt in bed." he'd heard his wife tell the girls, and he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at that. The two teenagers walked out of the room, looking at their recently acquired concoction with awe, and Kulap smirked at him saying, "Him I wounder if I should poor it in yours."
Dan-dan returned the look with a smug grin of his own and replied simply, "Not that I need any joltin'..." And at that, he walked over to Kulap and kissed her smirking lips before heading towards the door. "I'll see ya after noon I guess, once we lay out the nets.," he called from the doorway, hefting his oar onto one shoulder and resting his other hand on the cap of his waterskin.

Kulap rolled her eyes, feh, what does he know, it's not like we rocked the hammock yet
Kulap took out her sign that said "Open for business" and waited for customers. The first few were coming in.
The first was a woman, that wanted to have a baby, but wasn't conceving. Kulap told her to touch a fertilty statue and drink butterwine leaf tea on her cycle to increase chances. The second was a teen that was sick with a fever, Kulap use water-healing to bring it down. Then a man came gruge agaist a rival of his. He ask for a hex on him. Kulap rolled her eyes, and gave him a paper talismen for boils.
"Jest say his name to activate it and paste it to your door."
By mid-morning, Kulap was making more tea and began stretching. Most of her customers were now shopping and the like, and will file in durning evening. She dicided that it was time for some mid-morning chi clensing and meditation. She sat in the middle of the house and got into a lotus poistion. Butchie watched in interest as her misstress mediates in silence

Dan-dan arrived at the miniature 'warf' where all the village's boats were tied down when not in use. Already several of the other fisherman were floating in the shallow water, hoisting up the large rocks that passed for anchors in the Foggy Swamp. A few others were just arriving as he had. Among them was one of Dan-dan's life-long friends, a young man named Jugo.
"'Ey, Dan," he called out as he approached the direction of the village proper. Dan-dan turned and waved at his friend and fishering partner. "How you doin' today?" Jugo asked, falling into step beside his waterbending friend as the two approached the skiff they typically used during the day.
"Alright so far," Dan-dan replied as he waded into the shin-deep water beside his boat and deposited his oar on the flat bottom of the craft.
"Ya look a little tired," Jugo remarked, hopping into the skiff. He smirked as he began to untie the moring lines, "Ya haven't been stayin' up too late with the misses, I hope?"
The insinuation made Dan-dan's cheeks redden a little bit, but more from embarassment than anger. Truth be told, he and Kulap's marriage hadn't even strayed into those territories yet. He knew he'd never here the end of it if he let Jugo know that, but then he also didn't want to lie. He just said nothing and managed a slight laugh, deciding to just let Jugo make of it what he would.
"Whatever yer doin' up in that tree house," Jugo said after several long moments of waiting for a response, "Jus' make sure ya don't fall asleep on the job here... Can't have mah skiff's propeller dyin' on me, cuz I haven't paddled a boat in ages an' I don' wanna start now!"
Dan-dan laughed at that and the two quickly finished up their preparations and set out into the swamp with the other fisherman to bring in the day's haul.

The shaman meditated all morning until noon when she woke from her trance and stood up and stretched. Butchie was lying in his bed napping when Kulap nudged him with her foot. "Hey yew it's time to git up. We need ta' make Dan-Dan's lunch." Kulap walk over to the kitchen and making Dan-Dan's lunch, for almost three months Kulap has been making her husban's lunch and bringing it to him. She took some wild fruit, leftover bread and some fish and packed it in a basket.
She found a worn green cross-haulter top and a sarong and headed down the the warf with Butchie at her side. She sang at fishing tune that when something like this: Down the river, river where the fish are sweeeeeet Down the river, river You better not dip your toes or the catgators will have a feast to eaaaaat!
Kulap giggled as she reached the village warf to be greeted by two women, friends of hers. Baijeong and Pakpao. They weren't excatly friends more like frequent customers. "Heeey! Kulap! O'er her girl!" Pakpao called with crooked smile, she had messy hair in a lose bun and a missing tooth. Baijeong waved to her with a laugh, "Hey Shaman! You lookin fer yer husband?"
Kulap laughed and waved at her friends "Hey yew! Are you waiting fer yers?" Baijeong showed Kulap her basket for her husban Kinah, Pakpao for Sunan. "Yeah those lazy good fer nothin's can't tie thar own loincloths if it weren't fer us." Pakpao said annoyed, Kulap laughed, "Ain't it the truth. Oh! I think I see his skift.. right on time"

Aside from Tho having his hat stolen by a rather audacious hog-monkey, the day was a fairly typical entry in the Swamp's fishing life. The four boats that set out had laid down their nets as usual and brought in their regular-sized hauls without anything extraordinary. It was simply another morning of work, but the men managed to keep things from getting too stale by singing a few raunchy lymrics that had undeniably catchy tunes.
When they arrived back at the pond on the edge of the village, dragging their nets full of fish between thei pair of boats, Dan-dan saw Kulap and a few other wives of the fisherman waiting by the shore. The shaman was holding an assortment of food and Dan-dan smiled at the knowledge that she was bringing him lunch. Beside him, Jugo noticed his expression and smirked slightly.
"Awwwww," he said, his voice patronizingly sweet, "That's so nice you gotcher wifey to bring ya num-nums!" Dan-dan's face turned a little red, but he gave a good-natured chuckle and simply shook his head.
"Yep," Dan-dan replied, giving Jugo a half-hearted punch in the shoulder as they drifted up to the massive felled log that served as their pier, "It is nice..." He looped the mooring line around one of the studdy remains of the branches of the log and started toward Kulap.

"Hey Dan! Gotcha lunch!" She showed him the basket as wave at the girls who where with their husbands. "Later Baijeong, Pakpao!"
"Later Kulap, yew be good now!" Shouted Baijeong with Kinah. Kulap turned around and hollered back. "Whut? Ain't I alway good?" The girls laughed and went with their husbands. Kulap took Dan-Dan to small quiet spot under niethe the water oak tree.
"Finnally, a break from work, here Dan." She gave him some fruit and lean back nibbling on some bread. Looking up a the clear sky. "Work was boring. Woman, wanted kids, so I gave her some fertility herbs, man wanted a curse, and the usual. I'm sure fishin was the same old. Hmmm so Dan-Dan? Whut do you say if we take off and cause some trouble together?"
Kulap got up and finshed her half of her lunch tiened her loincloth. "I gotta git back to the house, What do you want for dinner? If you don't want to go cause some mischeif with me."

Dan-dan was thankful for the lunch he'd been brought and continued to mumble some tanks for the meal even as he chewed down a few mouthfuls of swamp apples and a piece of fried fish. However, he was a little taken aback by Kulap asking if he felt like stirring up trouble. Even as a little boy, Dan-dan was never one to cause a ruckus, and even though he'd played his share of pranks they were always good-natured and harmless.
"Hmmmm," he hummed, swallowing the last bite of food, "I guess it depends on what you had in mind... But I dunn' think it'd be too fair to the others if I ducked out o' the rest o' the day's work."

"Well then after work...C'mon Dan! Grandad always told me to, Live everyday likes it's gonna be your last, cause it just might be." Kulap had her hands on her hip and gave a pout.
"Well I wasn't hoping for too much trouble, just somethin' to do, ya know, to pass the time and make our droll little lives interestin'" She climbed the oak and hang upside down on a low branch. Her braid dangled below as she looked at her husband with a look that seemed to be torn between boredem and maybe hurt.
"Girls were teasin' me latly, a few days ago. Baijeong ask if we ya know..umm....well. Fine. If we had sex yet or not. I didn't answer her, and well she was gigglin' like storm." She sighed and flipped off the branch. "I just want sumthin' to do thats all, if means causin' a bit of chaos then fine. I was just thinkin' about letting all the skifts loose thats all." Kulap sighed agained and looked out to the river.
"I just wanted to..." She blushed and forced out the words. "To spend a little time with you..just us.." Kulap face redden. She was bored at home and Dan-Dan was tired after work. So it was mainly dinner and bed after the day was spent.
