Xin placed the tile onto the pristine oak bored her soft auburn eyes flashing up at her opponent. The sun beat down benevolently upon the soft colored garden. Scents of flowers and herbs wafted in the air producing a calming effect on the girl. Her pale hands under the white trimmed deep amethyst sleeves, retreated back to her lap as a light flush made its self known on her face. The man opposite her seemed to be growing upset and frustrated. Her lips pressed together fading the color from them. Her elaborate hair style allowed for ebony strands to fall across her delicately defined face. Xin’s mind grew more nervous yet she reached forward and moved once more setting the last tile in the game keeping her eyes down. “I . . . win”
The brazen young man, son of a bank owner in the firenation, stood up smashing his hand across the table scattering the pieces everywhere. Xin flinched closing her eyes tightly and she bent her head towards her lap. His molten gold eyes burned at the woman, why was a brat like her, beating him in a child’s game. Pai sho was for babies and old men, no one in their right mind would do such a mindless thing. His hair was tied at the back of his head in the typical fashion of young men around here.” Look you little wench, the only reason I put up with you is because your family works with mine, I hate you and I hate this game, if I even see you playing it again I’ll burn it!” He was always hot tempered like this; they’d never gotten along but Xin bended to his will simple because she did not want to have the tension any worse than it already was.
“I understand” She looked up at him and smiled softly attempting to not offend. This only mad his blood boil and the boy stormed off, out of the room, and down the hall. Sighing the firenation girl retrieved the board and each peace from the porch and, then the grass of the garden. Xin shook her head counting to make sure the tiles were all accounted for. One was missing and her head turned about to find it though it had seemingly vanished.
