Oh great...a hot head. Whats next?
Ashuku sighed as he watched the boy go into his rage, though he did smile in his mind. The angry are the most simple to break, they're minds are already in a frenzy, and their eyes show all. Ashuku did not join in the boy's fury, he simply sipped on his own cup of tea and watched him.
"I think I am an Admiral, and the leader of this camp. If I were you I'd settle down before you get yourself hurt," he calmly told him, "Just relax, have some tea if you'd like."
Now one thought entered his mind while he watched the boy. That girl knows she can't get anywhere? What if she came back to steal a map or something? He pondered this a bit, but easily discarded it. The only map was in his personal tent, which no one enters without permission and lives.
"Now boy, forgive my men. You are Fire Nation correct?"

Sarad stopped screaming and sat down cross legged and arms loosely crossed over his chest. He didn't look at the man when he spoke. Admiral, huh?
"Nope, I belong to no Nation, I'm a Gypsy." He said with something that almost resembled pride in his voice. Sticking his nose in the air he turned away from the man and the tea he offered.
"Your men are fools, unable to tell the difference from a rat and a mole, and you would do best to smarten them up." He didn't care that he should be walking on eggshells for an armed Admiral, he simply stated the facts. "Really, your men's intelligence is a reflection of their leader and right now I'm not getting a very good impression." He looked at the two men trying to patch up the side of the tent then finally directed his attention to the Admiral. Anger gone her stared at him with steady eyes.

Admiral. Akemi repeated in her thoughts. No nation, aye? And a gypsy too. This will be interesting... Akemi thought for a second of where she could get a map. She doubt it could be in the medical tent, or anywhere else in the camp. "...Generals, Admirals, and Commanders tend to have their own tents..." A flashback said, from her teacher. It's gotta be there, then... she thought. But where was the tent in the first place? She wanted to stand up on the boulder and look over the camp, to see where the tent even was. But, that would result in someone seeing her.
One thing was true in Akemi's guessing. The Admiral had put something in the tea, because he was urging the boy to drink it. Poison? Knock out pills? Great, more guessing... she thought, annoyed. But intentions were beginning to crawl into her mind. Run, and find the tent by pure luck? Talk, or threaten the admiral into telling her where it is? Or just try finding it and kill everyone who gets in her way?
Another, was shouting out, "Don't drink that tea!" She wanted to do it so badly, to save that boy. Akemi cluched tighter on her tsuka-ito, and shut her eyes tightly, trying to think.

"Senuik, I am seriously going to kill you." Riyo irritably trudged along behind her friend. They'd been sent to forage. Sen had gotten them lost because he wanted to see where the men were working. And now they hadn't the slightest clue where the villiage camp was.
Sen sighed and turned to look at her. "I SAID I was sorry." Riyo crossed her arms and gave him The Look. "Sorry dosen't cut it. I TOLD you we should have stayed on the path. But nooooo, you had to go see the men. And we found no men, and now we're lost." Sen rolled his eyes so far back that they turned white and kept walking. Riyo gave an exasperated sigh. "Have you any idea where we're going?" Sen stopped walking. "No, as a matter of fact-" "Just sit down." Riyo groaned and started to push through the bushes and trees. "There's gotta be a landmark here someplace...uh-oh." Riyo stopped moving. She'd stumbled into the middle of a Fire Nation camp...bad. Or possibly good. "Uhm, sorry, guys, we were on our way out," she stammered, trying to cover it up. "Riyo?" Senuik was looking at her. "Yeah?" "We should run now." "Good call." Riyo backed away toward the woods.

Ashuku's mind pounded, but he just grinned at the boy on the mat, and his turned away nose. At least he has intelligence, and a gypsy eh? Interesting...
"Its not wise boy, to mock a leader's leadership. And my men are following orders, ever since that girl came in, I sent them to take in anyone they didn't recognize," the words calmly rolled of his tounge, "And I don't believe we've seen you before."
He stroked his small beard, and took a small sip of his tea. He's a gypsy, what harm could he do? Fire nation camps pop up everywhere, so he tells someone, we could take care of opposition.
"Well young gypsy, I see no reason to keep you any longer, I have places to go and I imagine you do as well," Ashuku rose from his stool and walked over to the entrance of his tent.
"Two of my men will take you a distance away from here, give you back your equiptment and send you on your way," he began to exit but turned around for one last polite gesture before his guards took over, "A pleasure young sir."
Out of the corner of his eye he saw two guards enter the medical tent, one with the boy's equiptment and the other armed with his firebending.
He decided to enter his tent to gather his map before he left, so if that girl came back she couldn't take it, and also so he wouldn't lose his way. Even though the path was already concrete in his memory.

Riyo slumped against a tree, almost exhausted with relief. "That...was...too close for comfort," Sen muttered. "See, this is why men should lead." Riyo rolled her eyes. "You are nowhere NEAR a man, Senuik. Now take us home." "I can't." "Why not?" Sen casually put his hands behind his back, looking as calm and collected as possible. "Because unless we ask them," he gesutred to the camp behind him, "we're stuck here. I don't know the way back." Riyo sighed and stood up, hands on her hips. "Fine. We'll do it my way." She raised her hand palm up, shooting a flare into the sky. "There," she said, dusting off her hands and sitting down casually. "Now our villiage will see it and come find us." Sen raised his eyebrows. "Riyo, you're a genius." "I know I am."

Hmm... Akemi watched the admiral leave the tent, and she shot a cold glare at him.
Well, there goes the help of that boy... she sighed silently. This was going to be a lot harder than I thought. She pressed her thumb against the tsuba, unlocking the katana. Grabbing tightly to the tsuka-ito, she was ready to bolt through the camp to wherever that admiral went. She was sure he was going to his personal tent, and she wanted to make sure his head rolls on the floor if he tries to hold her back. In fact, it went to anyone who got in her way. All she wanted to do was get to Bai Seng Sei, for two purposes: get the cure, and warn the city.
Akemi's blood began to boil in anger when she saw the admiral walking away. Quietly making her way, because the camp was surrounded by a forest, she crept from tree to tree, making not too much sudden movement. Or noise, for that matter. But she began to notice that he wasn't heading somewhere at the edge of the camp.
Damn it! she thought, angrily. No choice but to keep a sharp eye on him, and wait for the time to run and strike, was what she re-planned. But, she jumped when she saw the red flare go up in the sky. I'm so dead...

The stray hairs on the back of Ashuku's hair shot up at the sound of the flare going into the sky. Quickly, he spun around and looked to morning sky where a blast of flame had erupted moments before. This is the LAST thing I need this morning!
A few stray, armored soldiers walked by Ashuku's standing area, bowing lightly as they walked by. The Admiral rushed in front of them and pointed towards the area where the flare was.
"Men, I demand you bring me the ones who made that flare. And I want them conscious this time," the Admiral ordered harshly, obviously his patience had run out.
The soldiers nodded quickly and rushed off into the woods, their boots making prints in the dirt as they scrambled off to fulfill their orders. At least they follow orders...
As he scanned the camp, he saw something, just a blur, move behind a tree. He grinned at the young girl's atempts, he didn't expect her to be back. Want to play little girl? You picked the wrong admiral
He sped up his walk a bit, and made his way into his personal tent. The flap wooshed behind him as he entered, and he scanned the tent's interior briefly for the map. It was hidden in a light leather made quiver that lay by his bed. He walked over to it, pulled out the map and went over to a small wooden crate. Inside was a small canister of blasting jelly, a few flares, an old book, some parchment, a candle and some string. I'm going to have fun with this...
First he drew his dagger from his wrist bands and drilled a small hole at the bottom of the quiver. He next rolled up some of the parchment, and made it resemble the map. The string was tied around the parchment and the rest of the string was laced through the hole in the quiver and was then tied to a lit candle he had hidden. Beside the candle he set the blasting jelly canister and the flares, so that when the map is picked up, the candle will fall, and explode the blasting jelly and set off the flares. If that dosen't kill her, the guards will...
To finish the illusion, he stuffed the map into the sleeves of his robe and walked out of the tent normally and mumbled, "Forgot to mark where my camp is on the map, now where did I put some ink..."

Sen was beginning to think all was hunky-dory when he heard the sound of running feet. "Um, Riyo?" he whispered, turning to look at her. She sighed, glaring up at him from where she'd been asleep at the bottom of the tree. "What now?" "No more flares, m'kay? I hear people." Riyo jumped to her feet, looking around apprehensively. "I hear them too. Okay, just don't move." Sen's eyes widened. "Shouldn't it be to RUN from the feet?" "And where would we go?" "Good point." Riyo hung onto Senuik's arm, praying whoever it was wasn't their parents. They'd be punished severely. Sen winced and poked at Riyo's hand a bit. "Um, my arm's turning purple, Riyo." She quickly let go. "Sorry, she said sheepishly. "C'mon, let's go. Maybe we can follow the river." Sen nodded. "Okay." They headed for the edge of the woods and were gone.

Once the man was far enough, Akemi darted into the same tent she did, looking like a small blur in the night. She sighed silently with relief, and looked around. The map, right there, in the open. She began tiptoeing to it, and reached for it. Something told her that something wasn't right. She shook her head.
"Trust your instincts," Daiki had said in her head. She clunched tightly onto her tsuka-ito with her other hand. ...I better check it for traps... she thought. She searched, but found nothing wrong. But that unright feeling still didn't go away. She decided to risk it, so she grabbed the parchment.
A flare went off, making another instinct set of in Akemi's mind: A TRAP! she thought. She used her earthbending to dig into the earth and bury herself, before a giant explosion set off above her. Great... I set of a trap, and now I'm buried in the earth with very little oxygen... VERY LITTLE OXYGEN?!?!
Akemi panicked. Then, she heard footsteps gathering around the explosion above her. That piece of parchment was definetly not the map, so it HAD to be with that admiral. Now, she was extremely ticked with him. She placed her palms on the wall of the earth, and pushed it, making it a small tunnel, big enough for her to crawl through. She began crawling through it, then dug deeper, so that nobody would fall through the narrow passageway. She pushed more earth away, and now more footsteps were fading. I hope nobody falls through that narrow passage... she thought. Now some pressure was getting to her. She felt a bit dizzy, so she made a little hole above her and took in more oxygen. She heard more footsteps, and quickly began crawling deeper and deeper into the tunnel. She held on tightly to her katana.
I freakin' hate that damn admiral now... Akemi thought, angry about the trap. She kept repeating the patern: push, crawl, push, crawl, then get some air, then crawl... Now I know to make sure his head rolls if I ever see him again...

Sarad stayed seated as he watched the man leave. Despite his talkative, not to mention rude, mood this morning he was almost surprised his head was still on his shoulders. Moments after the man left the two men he had promised showed up. One with merely his equipment and the other with Sarad's. "I will take my things her," He said after standing and outstretching his right hand to receive his things. "Our orders are clear, you are not to touch these toys until we are a safe distant from the camp. "Toys, really? If they are only toys then what is the harm of returning them to me?" He had contemplated saying "Child", but he wasn't willing to degrade himself so easily. "Orders are orders," The other man said grabbing Sarad by the collar of his tunic and dragging him out of the tent. The sun was bright outside casting thick shadows through the camp, the green grass lush in few places inside the walls of the encampment, but clearly plentiful outside.

As the explosives sent wild flames into the sky, and the scraps of tent burned on the forest floor, Ashuku couldn't help but grin at his own genius. She fell for it, hook line and sinker. That'll teach her. He walked slowly over towards the area where his soldiers had gathered and watched them frenzy over the hole where the girl had burrowed themselves. Resourcesful, she shouldn't have lived...
"Did you send flames down the hole?" the Admiral asked lightly.
"Well....no sir, we hadn't thought of that..." one soldier stammered, sheepishly looking towards the hard glance of the Ashuku.
"Fool, of course thats what you should have done. We won't be able to catch her...as of yet. Don't bother with her, she's no threat," he told his soldier, smiling lightly.
"What do you suggest we do?"
"Wait. Wait until I return from Bai Seng Sai. First I want you to request another ship of troops for the siege, then you will disassemble this camp once they've arrived. Move along the river and camp near by it, as far as you are able to go in about a day. I will meet you there in about one week," the Admiral explained, while walking slowly away, the soldier followed, nodding hastily while the Ashuku explained.
"We won't disappoint sir."
Ashuku grinned slyly, "For your sake I hope your right."
He then began to walk along the river, slowly, following his mental map, to Bai Seng Sai, to a massive victory, to massive flames.

Akemi sighed, and kept digging. Those soldiers, especially that admiral, should've found that hole she made by now. The soldiers were too dumb to send any bombs or fire down the hole, and Akemi was too far to get caught by the fire anyhow.
If that damn admiral thinks I won't be able to warn the city, he better think again. she thought. If she could get away from an explosion, she can find a way to Bai Seng Sei. There was always a way out and into something.
Of course, that way could be impossible to find, but it could also be easy. All she needed to do was get a map, or find her escort. Or at least find someone with a map. For now, she just had to keep burrowing her way through until she was far enough away from the campsite. I will make it. I will kill that admiral. I will warn the city. Akemi thought, willing to accomplish these tasks. I will find my escort. I will find that cure until I die.
I will save my mother.
