Yee Osan howled in a yawn, stretching his arms wide as he walked the cusp of the ship over the beam onto the port of Hokage in his beloved firenation. Scratching his side he noticed the fabric on his tunic had begun to become worn there. Habits are sneaky little things it seems. Walking into the town in the early morning, Yee could see peddlers just setting up shop, the deep sea fishermen coming back in with their catches, to be sold by said peddlers, and servant girls along the beachfront setting about ther mistress' businesses. The town was waking up. Yee walked up the pier towards town, taking his bread and cheese from his sack, his breakfast on the go...
"Please sir, for the poor?" An old wrinkled hand reached up from the side of a building on the cusp of the pier. His bowl was completely empty and his eyes sunken backwards. Yee didn't even bother to note how tattered the mans close were. He just closed his eyes and placed his bread and cheese in the man's bowl, he continued walking. "Oh thank you sir!"
Yee gave no response, his brow creased in concentration as he resolved himself to avoid any small pleasures on this particular point of business. Beggars were not a welcome reality, but they, like all things, still offered a learning experience.
Yee peeked into the bar. He dared not go in, but instead, headed to the Firebender's Guild. He reached into his pouch and removed a small scroll, tied with string. Removing it, he spun the wooden dowel to show his instructions. There was an image on the scroll and a name... the scroll did not even confirm whether this person was a firebender or not... Yee headed inside the Guild to see whom he might find.

"So you seek the Avatar..." an old wrinkled man rasped, his face hidden in shadow. He sat across the table from Yee in what was, as near as he could tell, the Firebending Guild's cafeteria.
Yee huffed through his nose as his nostrils flared. He shook his head. "I'm not looking for the Avatar... I'm looking for what turns a little kid into a master."
The old man's teeth could be seen in the shadow. He chuckled a bit. "You believe a bender cannot burn without wood?"
"I believe..." Yee felt his anger rise. The man was teasing him... testing him. "I believe that a man is built, not born." Yee stood up, half turning.
"Here." The old man stated simply. Tired of playing games. Yee paused, turning slightly and eyeing the scroll. In a swift motion he snatched it up and opened it. "His name is Pakku... he is... their teacher."
Yee smirked to himself, tracing the lines of the drawn image on the scroll, glancing at the map before quickly rolling up the scroll and clasping it closed. "Not for long..."
With that, Yee turned and headed for the door.

"Please sir..." A young child turned towards Yee as he walked out of the building. "My friend needs help!" The small boy was ill clothed, and without shoes. His wide eyes pleaded in earnest need.
Standing a couple feet taller, and much more sizable from side to side, Yee smiled down. His tunic flapping in the light breeze he stooped down to the boy's height. "What's wrong, little man?" A broad smile split his face. "Bully trouble? Possumcat stuck in a tree?"
The boy's eyes watered slightly as he grabbed Yee's hand and turned to run. "Come on!" The boy called as he took off down an alley, Yee trotting behind, stooped over.
"Slow down, kid... what's going on?" Yee looked around, trying to trace his steps. He wasn't familiar with the city and wanted to make sure he knew how to get back easily, because he definitely didn't know where he was going.
"He's... he's... there!" Rounding the corner, the small boy pointed at a small tree in the town. Sure enough, there was a boy, about the same age, similarly dressed in that tree. He also happened to be holding a possumcat. On the ground were two Fire Nation soldiers. "Hm. This is no good."
Yee slowly walked forwards to towards the tree. The soldiers stood there, reacing out with their spears for the boy to no avail. He was just barely to high up for them. Nearby an old woman squinted her eyes upwards.
The soldiers called "Come on down, kid, we're not going to hurt you!"
The child only vehemently shook his head. "It's mine, I found it I shouldn't have to pay for it!" He yelled down, clutching the possumcat even closer.
"You can't be serious..." Yee spoke softly to himself as he observed the soldiers pained and impatient faces.
"We're not going to take your PossumCat, son, just come down and we'll talk--"
"Liars!" The boy's face glowed a bright red. "I saw you talking to her!" He pointed tersely at the old female bystander. "You didn't even ask my side of the story! I found it, I tied it up outside and SHE took it!"
Exsperated sighs began to sound angry. "Kid. Come down."
"Make her apologize!"
"That's it." One of the soldiers threw down his spear, drew his short sword and begain to grab onto the lowest branch. The other soldier just harumphed.
Yee's eyes cut from side to side. A wry grin went across the old woman's face. He saw the angry soldiers. The kid was pretty high up, on limbs that probably wouldn't support the older, armored man. Yee made his move. "Excuse me, sirs." Yee smiled as he walked up to the tree, apparently unarmed, no longer just a bystander. "I believe the animal in question is mine..."
The both turned towards him with relatively stunned looks.
