Um... hi! Some of you may not remember me... but um, I kinda started this entire thing... *shrug* That may, uh, ring a bell.

My leaving was out of my control, by the way, so don't throw any stones over here.

BUT that is in the past, and I have arrived! So, in that case, let me read over this whole thread really quickly like.

Wow, that was fast. Ok, here's what I like. I like the whole distratct the defenders then plant the explosives on the other side under cover of night. That was kind of in my original plan, which dealt with a lot of spreading out defenders so that one side doesn't have a lot of trouble. I also also like the possibility of using captured earthbenders, but that shouldn't be the bulk of the strategy. I like the thread ideas, seems very wise.

I don't, however, like the super-weapon idea, but I think that we should use all of the Fire Nation's resources, meaning catapults, war balloons, etc. Using these, we could instill terror in the citizens inside the city leading to inner chaos which would hinder the defense and make the battle easier once the wall is breached.

In the matter of breaching the wall, the idea previously mentioned where several holes are made into the wall and filled with explosives to weaken the wall was smart, and there must be several strategies of breaking through the wall. I, however, don't have any new ideas on that subject so I'll leave it at that.

So, those are my two cents, Ash isn't dead... unless I make him dead... so he still wants a peice of the command pie. And what a delicious pie it is...mmmm...

EDIT: Do we have any idea as to what the geography of the area the two sides are facing off against one another is like?

Seeing as Gengoro is leaving in a week and a half, I went ahead and got the Zilong vs. Bora Gan match going a little earlier than I had originally intended. Hope no one minds.

Looks like we can now continue on towards Ba Sing Se. >D The thread could as stated by Muqali

I'd say we should have a thread comprising the preparation of the army, then a march, and then probably camping a good distance away from the walls. We could hold it there as a standoff for a long time, perhaps using the excuse of them waiting for the Drill or for more troops to arrive or something if we need to.
