Perhaps after all this the returners are blamed for leading the Fire Nation to Shai again and they all get thrown in to prison, FN survivors and water tribe returners are in jail while Saghani tries to clear the good name of the returners to The Northern Water Tribe Court.
As long as they are seen as traitors, the prison warden would probably treat them the same if not worse than the FN soldiers. Everyone would be disarmed and either arms broken or shackled to prevent bending. Prison would bring out interesting fights, conversations, and the worst of everyone.
They could easily be confused as traitors by a King whose property was just blown into pieces, possibly family members killed, and surrounded by nobles trying to make political gain. Near the end of the thread the fire nation captives could organize a jail break, and the returners could be granted a pardon or more leeway on the condition that they bring back the fleeing FN.
Just thought I'd put it out there, good men sometimes get blamed for bad things ;D... and once its all over you can get your big ol' heros apology feast ^^

I'm sorry I haven't posted yet. I'm still trying to figure out WHAT to post. Will the sound of the battle reach the prison where he's located? Until people actually come INTO the city (which may or may not happen) Naka has nothing to do. -_-'

Mao, My [mental] jury is still out on that one. >.> I'll come back to it later.
Taka, Given where, and maybe how far, the fight is taking place outside the city, you'd likely hear nothing.
As for everyone (other than the FN characters =P) coming into the city. *looks* That may not happen until at least the third or fourth cycle of posting it seems.
Even then you have to wonder where Nakamura comes into play... *shrugs* other than sitting in his cell and taken out of his cell to be escorted to a shelter maybe.
If you still plan on joining I'll add you to the list.
Taartoq,
He's still a librarian right? o.0 Currently I don't see much from him. Maybe going to and from a shelter later on. Which would give Nakamura something to do.
If you still plan on joining I'll add you to the list.

Feel free to discuss.
Been thinkin' considering plot relevancy and amount characters there may have to be an independent sub-thread for many of the civvie characters we have now, and that will eventually be joining up.
It'll keep things from slowing down too much though I'm not sure where that'd leave Nati actually. >.>;;

I'll have Taartoq join. The shelter idea seems to work...after all, he's not a warrior, but he'd probably still be drafted into doing something of that sort due to his being a reasonably proficient/well-trained waterbender.

I'll go with the flow of what ever happens, who knows what could go wrong!

Since I am part of the NWT, I'll just sit here quietly and read through the thread and try to catch up. But I think a battle would be way intense. Ebele wouldn't be much help (she's a story-teller after all XP), but she'll just go with the flow, like Nati said.

Well, there won't be so much battle within the city as being shelled by war balloons. It'd almost be like the air raids of WWII in London. there would be intense periods of things going boom while people take shelter and try to stay alive, followed by a time of rebuilding and healing in preparation for the next one.

Plus the whole...you know, Moon-power thing. Because water-benders are stronger then. So...the FN Troops would most likely stop fighting then, like in the episode, right?

Acutally Ebele, your character can calm the children with stories and keep everyone in high spirits with a good ole moral boost through some well acted comedies

*name counts*
Kura's gotta point. It's like every [active] NWT char will be with us. O.o
Anywho~ Ebele, Nati pretty much stated your likely use and assistance in the sub-thread. So you're welcome to take part in this with us. ^.^
From the looks of things, it seems that despite everyone being involved in the same event there'll be two threads. One thread involving the frontline with its cast and the other involving the civvies themselves. Though there will be no thread hopping it's likely that both sides will hear about the others every once in a while to some degree.
