(For the sake of Lulz I shall hereby swear NOT to edit any of this... though it hurts my soul..... the pain I go through for greater good)
Name:
Katara
Age:
14 AND A HALF!
Nation:
Water Rly now? I thought this would be "southern water tribe" but it seems she's related to Ariel.... lov'n the fins baby
Bender?:
Yes THIS is where normal people would maybe put spacing.... but it seems there is no such thing in BAZARO world >.>
Physical Appearance:
Katara has a very unimposing stature being a master at waterbending.(I read this sentance five times and I STILL can't understand it, maybe she has a buck tooth? I'd find that un imposed-eding) Yet her stature shows nothing of her skills. Katara is five feet two inches tall, an average height for a girl of the Southern Water tribe.(because there were so many girls in the southern water tribe... maybe six including the ones that aren't yet potty trained ) She has deeply bronzed skin(like a buck-toothed Aphrodite) , natural for one born to the water tribes. Her skin is well tended and smooth, despite the work she has done around her tribe. Katara has small hands and feet, both nimble and capable.( AAHH! THE REST OF THE SENTANCE IS MISSING! AMBER ALERT AMBER ALERT) She has a slight figure,(slim?) but well muscled, permitting her to move with speed. Her limbs are slim (ha! I was right :3 )and long, flowing with a willowy grace resembling the water that she bends so majestically. ( like a unicorns mane is Kataras body, that sounds a little NC-17 to me...)
Katara's is described as beautiful,( I'm sure she is) although she hardly realizes it herself. She has a ovular (IE, it produces eggs and bleeds)head, crowned by an abundance of luxurious chestnut colored hair. her hair is usually drawn tightly back into a bun positioned just above her slender neck. Two sections of her bangs( bangs? katara has bangs? CALL THE PRESSES!) are left free from this bun, framing her lovely face.( Aphrodite aphroditeeeee~ the goddess of love! *snaps* ) The two strands are kept orderly by means of two periwinkle colored beads. The hair fed ( it ez delicious hair joo must eat it NOM NOM NOM ) through the beads are connected into the bun by means of a long pin. Flowing from the base of the bun, a delicate braid is visible, extending down to her waist secured together by another periwinkle bead. At times of extreme physical exertion ( like stretching her unicorn mane body) her hair swings free of the constraints and appears as a mess, but still long and wavy. Katara always manages to keep her hair in the former neat position when traveling.
Katara's facial features are soft and intelligent,(she looks smart, so she has buck-teeth and glasses :3 amiright? ) brought out by the sparkle(ryota?) in her eyes and endless smile. Her arched eyebrows are sculpted to perfection, furrowing when she angers and softening to a raised overture when she laughs. (" why is it everytime you come near music seems to appear) Her eyes sparkle with unconcealed love and delight when around her friends. They are a dazzling aquamarine ( omg! I have that crayon!) color, but subject to change with her emotions. When encountering someone she hates, they immediately lose the telltale sparkle, replaced by an intensity only capable by her.( and every bad fanfic author in exsistance!) Katara's eyes harden and turn a deeper blue when she feels this rage. Her eyes are the easiest to tell her emotions from, becoming teary, hard or delicate. Her eyes are cat-like,(meow?) elegant and wide. They give her a look of innocence and youth, a betrayal to the intensity of her eyes.( okay just an over veiw, her eyes are SHEER INTENSITY! ) Her nose is small, narrow and slightly rounded, exposing semi-flared nostrils. Her healthy colored lips are thin and defined, but never pursed. Her firm lips draw over her pearly white set of teeth, concealing her dazzling smile.
Katara's face ends with her narrow chin, giving her a more serious complexion.(he complextion is serious? this raises soooo many questions) Her jaw and forehead are wider, making the child part of her appearance more noticeable. She has clearly not grown out of her adolescence yet, but pulls off a more mature look.
Clothing/Armor:
Katara's normal garb in the Water Nation consists of a heavy long coat, light blue in color and very practical. Dazzling white ( another crayon in my collection!) fur dangles off the two shoulders and trims the hood. The coat is tied to her waist by means of a white fur belt. (o rly?) Her slacks are also made of heavy skins, insulating her body. The coat reaches past the knees, almost to the heavy boots. Her boots and gloves are practical, made of hardened zebra-seal skin (nothing better than clubbing baby seals! they dance like pricks anyway >) dyed a navy blue. (tiem nao 4 cloth count!)
Under her coat, she wears her normal clothes(1) seen in warmer weather. She wears a short-sleeved robe, close to the color of azure and trimmed by white cloths (2) at the neckline and extending down to her waist diagonally across her body. The robe is tied at the waist with a sash made of the same white cloth(3) as the trim. The robe is made of a thin cloth, allowing the wind to occasionally caress her body. The robe is split down the sides, giving her legs more room to maneuver. She wears thin slacks underneath her robe of a royal blue color. Her feet are adorned with thinner moccasins( THEY HAVE MOCCASINS?! LIES! give me da screencap!), light and easy for travel. Katara wears a long cloth (4) forearm protector made of royal blue cloth(5), preventing her arms from chafing. Typically this is her attire for traveling.
In dense heat or when in the water, she sheds her outer layers and wears a matching pair of clothing(6), a cream colored set of top and bottom. This set exposes her midriff ( back to the kinky stuff >.>) and her legs up to her mid-thigh region. ( bow-chicka-bow-wow) Her top resembles a wrap,(ceaser salad plz!) with two strips of cloth(7) reaching up to her shoulders, supporting the main expanse of cloth (8) covering her chest. The bottom portion is wrapped around her legs, with a loose cloth (9) dangling in front and behind her hips.
Katara constantly wears a cyan colored necklace with a navy blue cloth tie fastened at the back. It was a betrothal present for her grandmother and it reminds her of her home. The necklace has a wavy engraving carved onto the enamel necklace.
Weapons:
In combat, Katara's only weapon is her ability to waterbend, ( then why even post here...?) hence her need of keeping her water skin close to her. She wears the water skin on her left side, just behind her pelvic bone. Her water skin is made of plain russet colored leather, shaped like a kidney bean (yummy!), with the spout capped and facing forward. Her water skin holds approximately a third of a liter, but this is more than enough to cause serious damage. Katara uses this water as a whip, throwing her opponents away from her. But her real power is with more water. She can create may figures with an abundance of water, forming a variety of attack and defensive moves. She is capable of defending herself with the water and also freezing it if the need arises. She is a true waterbending master in many forms. She can control water in fluid graceful movements or savage ones depending on the aggresiveness of her attacks.
Personality:
Katara is a bold character,(duh....?) never afraid to speak her mind. She is patient and caring. She is very accepting of her friends and loves helping them.(wow! I know nothing about her but I'm sure McDonalds is willing to hire her) Katara is a great teacher, friend and ally, but devastating towards her enemies.( and those would be,,,,?) Katara has the facade of a warrior, although it is unaccepted by some because of her gender. She is fierce and lethal,( so is cyanide, you think your sooo cool >.>) unable to stop protecting anything with importance to her. She will fight to the death for her friends. Katara seethes hatred towards her enemies,( again with the un-named enemies.... is it VOLDMORT >.> OMG CROSS OVER!) attacking them with an intensity that is surprising for her age and build.
Katara's personality is gentle and tender,( mommy!) like a mother figure towards her friends, but she is also very naive. She is innocent and has much to learn before she can mature enough to make informed decisions.( if you watched the show ya might re-think this one...) She is bright, but sometimes misguided. Katara is a short-tempered girl, giving in to anger when a cool head could have produced better results. She is prone to her emotions and they leak out constantly be it sadness, anger, love or disappointment. She is a very easy person to read, one can always tell what she is thinking.( but isn't she a girl...?)
Katara is a mix between teenage angst( this is "katara" not "zuko") and childhood freedom. She loves to have fun and laze around, but she always has the motive in mind. She can get sidetracked and lose focus, but ultimately she is persistent in her goals. Katara loves to tease ( but she's mature, and honestly not that funny) Sokka and Aang, playfully splashing them with water. They constantly get into water fights, the winner always being Katara. On her spare time, (it's like a shelf) she likes to dress up and admire herself a bit. But even she has other dreams. She wants to open a business, a cross between a jeweller and a spa, making others feel beautiful would be a dream come true for her.( woah........ what now? do they get happy endings?)
Background:
Katara was born to Hakota and Kadyia in the early spring, the best time for a baby to come into the world. The small town was bursting with life and one would presume that happiness would be in the air. Katara was a weak baby, spending most of her early months being tended by her mother. Kadiya was an excellent healer, one of the best in the town. Before half the year was over, Katara was a healthy gurgling baby. (ewwww........)
The early years of her life was filled with gaps of blissful ignorance which she enjoyed. Her father gave her polar bear back rides in the snow, and she had a never ending snowball war with her brother. She used to play fishing with her Gramp Gramp ( Gramp gramp? okay I can't read this anymore, my eyes are burrning) before he passed away in a tragic ice fishing accident. Her grandfather was closer to her than most of the village. Less than a year later, the Fire Nation assault on the Southern Water tribe began. All healthy adults were called to defend the capital, leaving behind their unprotected families to fend for themselves. Over two hundred healthy men and women marched off to war with high hopes of defeating the Fire Nation. Katara was not yet three years old.
The war was devastating, deserters from the Fire Nation constantly wandered the country, leaving some villages razed and barren. After three months of war, the survivors dragged themselves home. The two hundred strong adults were cut down to under fifty bedraggled men. Katara had just turned four when her father broke the horrible news to her. Kadiya had died in an underhand assault on the medical tent by desperate Fire Nation deserters. It was then that Katara started harboring all her rage.
The Fire Nation ravaged the counttry for another few weeks before heading back with all the war spoils to their island. Katara had just started learning waterbending, a tradition that usually started at seven years old, but since there were no waterbenders left in the village, she taught herself anything she imagined older waterbenders would do. It was on one such day, that she was moving a puddle of water, when she saw the smoking warship in the distance. The village started war preparations, but with the dozens wounded, they would provide little resistance.
All the villagers were surprised when the warship crashed into the icy shore, three lone figures jumping from the fiery ship. The three men headed toward the village, sneering at the elders holding staffs and the two limping men with their swords drawn. A bloody battle ensued, many elders died that day, but the feeling was numbed to Katara, having already lost most of her loved ones. Soon, there was only one Fire Nation troop left. Katara was hiding in a snowbank with Sokka, shuddering at the horrendous sight of the soldier. Then she remembered that the Fire Nation was responsible for her mother's death. The young girl jumped onto the soldier's head and using a bunch of snow, she pushed it into his face. The soldier ran off yelling something about demons.
The victory was bittersweet, the village was practically extinct, housing less than thirty people altogether. The rest of Katara's childhood was spent trying to improve on her waterbending skills by studying the water and listening to Gran Gran's stories. Her memories of her mother stayed as fond reminiscence, but soon even she forgot Kadiya's face. All she could remember was the love that she left behind. She helped the newer children along, many of them orphans or only with a mother left. Katara swore never to forgive the Fire Nation for what they did to her tribe and to her life.
Although the Fire Nation didn't come back until she was fourteen, she lived her life in perpetual fear of them. It wasn't until Aang arrived that she found a new purpose in her life.
Sample RP:
The night was chill, not unusually so for late autumn, but Katara felt the cold through her robe. At night, the forest's tranquility turned into a nightmare. Yet, Katara felt no fear, she could feel the full moon rising in the early evening. The trees darkened, once calm flowing branches turned into creeping arms. Beside her, Toph ( wheres everyone else...?) felt no fear also, not being able to see the creepy forest. Every rock looked like a Fire Nation soldier ( I can see how you might confuse the tow... they're about the same intelligence level) and behind every tree there seemed to be a sword. Hugging the bunch of firewood closer to her, Katara listened to the sounds of the night
"Wait Katara," Toph whispered, quickly dropping her hand to the ground. "Assassins." ( or are they just fan boys?)
As the clouds drifted away from the moon, the forest lit up with an eerie glow. Ten men dropped silently from the trees, but it was too late, they were already spotted. The men had traditional Fire Nation attire, sleek black and red armor. Katara dropped the wood and opened her water skin in one fluid gesture. A second later, her whip was flying at the assassins. The fight was over quickly. The few assassins were no match for two masters. As Katara passed by the unconscious bodies, she spotted one unlucky assassin with a paper in his hand. His torso was pinned to the tree by a jutting rock. Curious, she leaned over, only to have the soldier grab her arm.
"Listen to me young girl," he rasped. "I didn't want this job, but heres the note that we were sent to deliver."
Scanning the note, she noticed the signiture. Her eyes suddenly hardened, shining blue in the light of the moon.
"Gran Gran," she whispered. ( dun dun dunnnnnn!)
( Overall I give this profile a Y for "you should push your face onto a stove top", Much love from the tophers!)
