Before he knew it, the performance was on. Azar sat in the audience, watching the dancer intently. His movements so graceful, empowered by a musical flourish. It was almost magical. Ravi was so charming, full of soul and emotion that it led Azar to merely stare in awe. In fact, he neglected his cup of white jasmine tea until it had descended to a lukewarm state. Azar didn't care - He was enraptured by Ravi's exquisite dance.
When the dancer's eyes pored over the audience, Azar knew the elegant man was looking at him. And it felt so good.
But it was soon over.
Moving through the applauding crowd, he rushed backstage to meet Ravi when he was ushered to do just that. With that same cherubic smile on his face, he slowly walked up to the dancer. Ravi's question brought his response. In a soothing and sultry voice, he crooned; "It was fantastic."
He then grasped Ravi's hand in his own and gazed into his eyes. "I loved it."

Ravi's sun-bright eyes sparkled, Azar loved his preformance. He was impressed
Bai Wei walked over handed Ravi a jar, Ravi guzzled the contents. Cool water rushed down as he drank thirstyily. "I'm so glad....all. I wanted...is for you to be...impressed." Ravi spoke honestly. A touch of deja vu hit him as he spoke those word. Didn't he said the same thing to Phirun years ago? Clutching the jar his eyes melted into Azar's cool gray ones. "..I really like you...I...I'm sorry if this is intrusive." Ravi kissed Azar's cheek. His cheeks flushed with excitment and from the dance itself. Ravi shyliy back up not really knowing that Azar's reaction was. Bai wei called for Ravi.
"Yo, You need to get over here!" Ravi looked at Azar still holding his hand. Squeezing it affectionly he walked to the other end of the back stage. "I am sorry if that was too much..." Ravi apologized as he ran to Bai Wei
"Nice performance man, I haven't seen you groove like that in a long time." Ravi panted and was to reply when a catty voice spoke up. "Still running around half naked, no wonder dad thinks you have resorted to prositution." Ravi glared, "Hello Sati, your husband finally letted you out of your cage." Sati smirked, "Ooo good one, did your pimp teach you that one?" Ravi eyes narrowed. "I'm busy tonight, go bug Madhur or Indu leave alone for once." Sati could tell Ravi wasn't in the mood. "Whose that behind you...your client?" Ravi growled, "Back off, and go, he is none of your business."

Why was that moment cut short? It was like a dream, Azar lamented silently as Ravi walked away. He was kissed by the man he admired, the one whom he had only met that very day. Staying silent throughout the rapturous time, he let his actions speak for themselves. A soft grin showed he enjoyed the kiss, while the redness aglow on his face conveyed he was exactly as nervous as Ravi. There was so much Azar wanted to say, but for once in his life, he was at a loss for words. Everything was answered at last, and there was no reason to feel sorry. He just wanted that overpowering bliss to go on forever.
But that Bai Wei fellow had to interrupt. Azar let go of Ravi's hand as he walked away, and only stood to watch the things that followed. Arms crossed over his ample chest, he backed up to lean against a wooden post, all while observing what transpired. Some woman approached, obviously the sort who Ravi disliked, and the two soon became entangled in a battle of quips and quibbles. An eyebrow arching, Azar strode over at a very slow pace. He was fairly curious. Would the two start fighting? Would he have to break it up? He had no clue who that person was, but something in the back of his head told him things wouldn't end well between her and Ravi. But to be sure, he stayed a few feet behind and watched.
But as he stood behind Ravi, arms crossed, one could probably think the large young man was some sort of bodyguard.

Sati rolled her eyes, she enjoyed baiting him. "Anyway I was told to come over to tell you that Indu just had her baby yesterday. Mama wanted you to comeover and see your new nephew." Ravi watched her, and shrugged. "Is that all? If it is, then leave, You got your meat for the rumor mill, just leave me alone Sati. " Sati laughed and turned around. "Whatever you say little brother." Ravi watch her leave, he new Indu was expecting. So now he had a new newphew. But his family wanted nothing to do with him anymore, grumbling, Ravi turned back to Azar.
"Sorry about that, if you couldn't tell, that was my older sister, she enjoys spying on me. Anyway, lets get something to eat and drink, I'm starved." Ravi took Azar's hand and squeezed it. Leading him to a small table with stools. He sat on one end and allowed Azar the other. Indra walked over, "Nice work Ravi, the usual for you, rice noodles in curry and glass of cold elderberry wine?" Ravi nodded, "Yes thank you Indy, get Azar some wine too." The dancer leaned back. "Sorry about the confrontation, so..Ummm where are you from?" Ravi began..

It was interesting, really. Ravi showed another side to himself, a keen wit and ability to defend himself verbally. Though the dancer's reaction his very sister was rather unsettling. Azar knew there must have been a rift in the family, though it was understandable. Having left home himself, he knew what it was like to abandon his family due to discomfort and awkwardness. And he hadn't even let his family know his fondness for the same gender. Truly, he must have caused his family grief. His last words to them were so enigmatic, and imparted them so little comfort and closure. Azar still didn't care. He thought he had done the right thing, lest he be driven to insanity back at home.
"So kind of you," Azar said to Ravi, viewing the dancer's offer fairly inviting even though his voice reflected some sarcasm. He was no stranger to wine, though his habit of overindulgence was notorious to those who knew him. But Ravi thankfully didn't know. He was soon asked his tale, though he didn't feel like explaining. With a rather blank look, he responded; "I'm from Hokage."
Grasping the glass of wine when it was given to him, he took a big gulp and continued. "I left because I wanted to 'find myself'. I didn't even tell my family the truth. They wouldn't have cared anyway." Sloshing the wine around in its glass, he looked down into it. If he had a few more glasses of wine, he knew how the evening would end. But he wasn't complaining.

The dancer finally had his meal and ate with passion of a starving man. "Ahh food....Thank you Indra, my complements to Gita!!"
Ravi took a swig of his wine and sighed. It was good stuff, a little tart but one of his favorites. Listing to Azar, Ravi responded.
"Do you have any siblings? I have 4 sisters, Sati was one of them then there is Madhur, Kanta, and Indu. Sigh only male in the family, and I was a big dissappointment." Ravi added as he drank his wine, feeling the effects. But he wasn't going to get drunk not stinking drunk, Ravi had a lot on his mind, he was crushing on Azar, and he was worried about his family. What was Sati objective tonight, spite? Ravi didn't know, sipping his wine he watched Azar through golden eyes. Soft gentle eyes, sweet smile. Ravi sighed, head still buzzing from intoxication, he muttered out unaware his own thoughts.
"I wouldn't be suprised if I fell in love wif you." Ravi giggled lightly

Leaning against the same wooden pylon as before, Azar stared at Ravi's food longingly. Until then, he hadn't realized his own hunger, but he had no second thoughts toward giving his order to Indra. "Get me...something, too. Whatever you have that you think I'd like. I'm not picky."
Indra then walked away, his face bearing an expression of disdain for the musician's domineering order. Azar, on the other hand, who couldn't care less whether he was rude or bossy, downed the remainder of his wine in a single gulp. Though his gray eyes shimmered with a glassy appearance, he guessed another glass of wine wouldn't hurt.
Soon came Ravi's question, which Azar answered without hesitation. "I have an older brother named Hyun-Yoon who's in the army. And my younger sister, Jaleh..."
He stopped. She was the reason he had left home. Seeing her so happy with her suitor really made his heart break. He knew even if he fell in love, he couldn't proclaim it to the world as they did. It would have to be under wraps. And judging Ravi's prior statement about how people treated him, he knew the world was unkind to his type. Precisely the reason why he had never told anyone his secret. He had thought people would be more accepting in the capital, but he concluded that was no more than a mere dream.
Letting out a sigh, he continued; "She's back in Hokage, with her fiancé." Even a fool could detect the acrid overtones of his ending words. But any angst or bitterness soon evaporated into thin air when Ravi blurted out what was on his mind.
Azar blinked and peaked his eyebrows. Love, so soon? They had just met! But soon after that, he noted how Ravi seemed more intoxicated than he. Of course, seeing as how the dancer was shorter and thinner than him, it was easier for him to succumb to drunkenness much quicker. His slurred speech certainly wasn't proving his sobriety, either. Thus, he slowly made his way over to Ravi.
"Do I impress you that much?"

"Hmr...Oh oh dear." Ravi scratched his head thanks to the wine he was now slighly drunk. Laughing slight he he sipped a little more.
"Well....I do like you lot. The a lot I want to know, and knowing how willingly I give my heart away. It wouldn't be surprising if I gave it you, and you end up breaking it like so many other men." Ravi giggled agian. Thoughts of Phirun echoed, he did miss him. He's not longer in love with him. But he was a dear friend, bitterly he though about Sati, and his father. It was like his family jinxed his love life.
Indra came back with plate of crab wontons and sweet and tangy plumb sauce for Azar. "Easy with with liquor Ravi. You're a light weight." Indra went back to work, Ravi stole a wonton and ate it, "Don't food is on me. I get paid rather well here, though I also worked at a pastry shop, too for more cash. Rent isn't bad here. And Indra...well he's like uncle to me."
Ravi looked to the side a bit and drank a little more. Feeling a little sulky he did smile at Azar. "I sound like fool don't I? A drunk fool, damn wine, I need to stop drink this poison, it dirtys my chi for dance." Ravi poured more into Azar's cup and corked the bottle. They were pretty close face to face. Ravi was so drawn to Azar and he just met him, good gods it was incredible the out right chemstry.
Ravi couldn't help himself and started to lean in whispering. "You sound jealous of you sister...I can understand jealously."

"Good to know," he muttered at Ravi's confession. Really, though he and Ravi clicked so well, Azar had no idea what it was like to have his heart broken. The only times he had ever been with someone were nothing much to mention. Even with that fateful first tryst, inexperienced as he was, he couldn't even remember the fellow's name. All he remembered was his face, albeit vaguely. But that was it. The few other times he had hooked up with anyone, it only ended with Azar never seeing the other person again. But with Ravi, he didn't want that. He was different, special even. He had such passion and drive, and Azar didn't want to let that go.
After flashing a short glare at Ravi for nabbing part of his dish, he started eating it himself. He never stopped listening to Ravi as he ate, though his lack of responses both verbal and silent may have made it seem as though he ignored the dancer. Calm words soon turned into a brief rant, after which point Ravi poured Azar the last of the wine. And after it all, food and wine safely settled in his stomach, Azar leaned back in his seat and smiled. For a brief moment, he pondered that the food at the place was pretty decent.
But Ravi's mind seemed to be elsewhere. With only a slight buzz, he was nowhere near the tipsy state that Ravi had sunken into. And the dancer seemed somewhat amorous. Grinning, Azar thought it would be fun to play along and see what happened. Leaning in toward the man with ebony hair and golden eyes, his own voice was reduced to a whisper.
"Why's that?"

Ravi laughed, damn him for being so easy. He was going get his heart trampled on if he continued this. Still the Solar Blade did not paid as he leaned over and kissed Azar. It was a tad sloppy, but there was some emotion to it. Mainly inebration, but something else. What? Ravi couldn't tell, but as he pulled away laughing he rubbed his eyes.
"Excuse me.. that was little too forward for a first date, forgive me I didn't mean or maybe I did." Fortunatly for Ravi and Azar the Lovely Lotus was pretty much empty, there was barely anybody at all, most of them left after the dance, leaving Bai Wei and the group to clean up.
"Umm well umm...I'm sure this pretty akward now huh? Mostly likey I've fu*cked everything up. I shouldn't have...kissed you." Ravi was still tipsy, but he sobers quickly. He blushed and stood up, "Shall we get to bed I have work at the pastry shop and practice...and you're gonna start working soon." Ravi didn't regret his actions he almost leaned in again to kiss but stop himself

Oh, was he setting himself up. Azar felt sparks fly with the kiss, heedless though it was. He just wished it would go on longer. Really, he knew Ravi was making a mountain out of a molehill. There was really some connection between them, even though Azar couldn't quite put his thumb on what it was. But that didn't matter. Ravi blathered on, but Azar saw it had gone on too far. He needed to put an end to the uncertainty. As his glassy gray eyes slipped down, then drifted upward again to settle on the beautiful and elegant man, his lips parted slightly. Now was the time.
And at that point, he stood, wrapped his hands around Ravi's upper arms, and pulled him close. "Awkward? Never," Azar said, his heart racing like never before. "Don't make more out of this than you need to."
Then came the fated moment. Azar leaned in and kissed Ravi. His was a much less sloppy kiss, the dancer's body pulled close to his. Eyelids quickly dropped in the moment ambrosial. Being a man of few inhibitions, even less in his current state, he carried through with his lightning-quick decision. And he knew he wouldn't regret it.

Ravi lost control at that moment when Azar kissed him, blood rushing like fire his head. Heart pounding like one of Indra's drums and he returned the kisses fericely, almost hungrly. He took an opertunity to insert as tonuge for a while seeing it Azar would allow it. Ravi's arms were free again as he wrapped them around Azar's waist holding him close. Smiling Ravi was in paradise.
Meanwhile Bai Wei watched the two at a distance. Mopping the floor he smiled as the two talked and drank, then he watched Ravi kiss Azar and Azar return said kiss. Whoa what are the odds, Ravi was single for 6 years and this guy shows up and wow Bai Wei didn't say anything but turned his head and keeped working.
Ravi broke free and panted, "Wow...I hadn't kissed like that in aeons." He leaned in again. "Shall we continue upstairs?"

How that plume of tender and sensual pleasure seemed to last. That kiss, ardent and ambitious like a burning flame. Azar was indeed lost, but not at all in a bad way. Lost in himself, lost in Ravi, lost in romantic delight, lost in the moment. Holding each other in a tight embrace, not wanting to let go, the two probably never realized they had an audience of one. But to Azar, at least, it would matter very little if he knew Bai Wei were watching. Around someone probably aware of Ravi's orientation, he would just tell him to deal with it should any complaint be voiced. But there were gladly no interruptions. As they held each other close, Azar put his forehead to Ravi's and let his eyes drift shut while a smile graced his lips. He was pleased.
When it had ended, Azar's eyes were still loosely shut, his grip unclinching gently from Ravi's arms. Ravi seemed as satisfied as Azar, but his suggestion offered a whole new dimension to the night. Dropping his hands from Ravi's biceps, he slowly lowered his right hand to the opposite hand belonging to the dancer. Interlocking his fingers with those of his lover, a grin so wide that it bore his teeth grew on his face. "Of course. Lead the way, oh spirit of beauty and grace."

Squeezing Azar's hand Ravi's cheeks turned pink. He can't believe he was suggesting this. Whispering into Azar's ear telling him to follow, Ravi's nipped it and lead Azar to his bedroom.
Moving up the stairs from the kitchen Ravi opened his door and pulled as Azar inside. Shuting and locking Ravi kissed Azar passionately again, releasing emotion into the kiss anew. Hands roamed as began to findle with the cloth that was Azar's hanfu. "More...please more."
Meanwhile down stairs, Gita putt all the dishes away. Food was stored and the kitchen cleaned when she when back to the main hall. Indra was smoking his pipe. "Love? Where is Ravi and that new lad?" Indra pointed up. Gita made a tsking noise. "Those too are moving awfully fast." Indra tapped out some ash. "Meh they'll figure it out eventually? Tea dear?"
Meanwhile Ravi's vest was off and his tousers were getting loose. He whispered to Azar. "You want to?"

In a deep and heated fervor, Azar's powers of conscious and rational thought were pushed into the background. There was one thing and one thing only on his mind, and he would stop at nothing to get it. Shedding his outer robe quickly and almost instinctually, he wrapped his arm around Ravi's slender waist and pulled him closer. Three kisses from his lover's neck up to his jaw followed. Azar's heated passion and lust were as obvious as the sun in a clear midday sky.
His grip soon loosened to allow Ravi to prepare. His mind in accord with Ravi's ideas, he had no qualms about the ebony-haired dancer's suggestion that rose. Azar mostly stayed silent, allowing only a grin to cross his face, though he eventually voiced his agreement alongside a deep and loving gaze. Right before he slid off his dark red-brown pants, he whispered, "Follow my lead."
Then came the moment of truth.
