Raine smiled at Amir. Well, at least Amir had a slight idea of where they were to go. Raine was completely clueless! Raine nodded and started to follow Amir. Soon after, the teen heard fast paced foot steps and crunching. She looked back and saw Lin running off. Raine slapped her forehead. “Lin? What are you doing!?" Raine yelled as Lin ran off again. She was not about to go through the running, hiding, caving and stuff all over again. Raine walked up to the tree as a branch began to fall. Raine backed up and saw Lin clinging for dear life. ”Damn, damn, damn, damn! She though to herself. Raine couldn’t climb up there. Two of the major branches were missing and she wouldn’t be able to reach her. ” What if Lin jumped an I caught her…?” She thought to herself, “ Then she would land on my and I’d probably be crushed. Not good!”

Amir thought girls were confusing.
Well, at least water tribe girls. Especially ones like Lin that were so easily scared and so. . . . odd. Very odd. Sighing, he looked around for the odd girl who had just seemed to up and disapear. That cannot be good. he told himself as he squinted, trying to catch a glance of the younger girl, though, he was having no luck. "Raine-chan?" he asked, about to ask Raine if she had any idea where Lin could've gone off to, but, then he realized that she was gone too! A scowl worked its way onto his tanned facial features. Does anybody trust me? he asked himself as he began looking around for Raine too, refusing to move from his spot until he found reason too.
The reason to that question was obviously no, no one trusted him. They really did not have much reason to, after all. He was Amir and was by nature not a trustworthy person who only cared about himself. Lin-san and Raine-chan had plently of reason not to trust him. But, he was trying very hard to find the way out of this forest and be all manly, yet, the two girls he was supposed to be impressing had run off. Great, just great. he thought as he concluded that there was no way that he was going to be able to find either girl by simply looking around. The acrobat sighed in annoyance before finally beginning to walk in the direction he thought Lin-san and Raine-chan had gone in.
But, all of a sudden, he heard their voices. Raine was yelling about something. She was yelling at Lin. Amir smiled widely, amazed at how wonderful a tracker he was. Or, at least he thought he was to make him feel better about himself. Without further adue, he took off after the voices, running as fast as he could.
Finally, he came to the spot where the two girls were, with very muddy feet and a stitch in his side. He was panting as he finally slowed up, beside Raine. That was when he realized what was going on. "Lin-san. . . . Why are you up there?" he asked, though, he knew it was stupid to ask such a thing. He knew what he was expected to do in this situation. He was the man, after all. He was supposed to save the damsel in distress. The only thing was. . . . he really did not want to climb up that tree.
Taking a deep breath he walked up to the tree trunk and grasped two nearby branches. And then, he yelled, "I am coming to get you, Lin-san.". Maybe she'll sprout wings and float down. he thought as he began to climb.

Lin swung her legs up so they would wrap around the branch, and her arms clinged around it as well. She tried to inch herself to the trunk, but got splinters stuck in her arms in the attempt. She winced and gave a small yelp. She opened one eye when she heard that Amir was coming up to get her. She made another attempt to get onto the trunk.
She took a deep breath, and swung her upper body and arched her back in order for her arms to wrap around an area closer to the trunk. Crack. The branch began to snap again. Lin quickly reacted and swung her legs inward and wrapped them back around the branch, causing the piece to fall. It was cracked right by her forehead. She gulped.
Only a few more feet and you'll be at the trunk, you can make it, she thought to herself.

Raine bit her lip. She wasn't quite tall enough to reach the branch that could help her get to Lin. If only she were about 2 inches taller and had a little more upper body stregth. Raine turned around to meet Amir coming towards her, or more so officiant: to see what was going on. Raine smacked her forehead at the thought of Amir going up there too but then changed her line of thought, " I shouldn't think like that. I bet Amir will get her down no problem." As Amir started to climb the tree Raine got closer, " A-amir? Just.. Be careful okay?" She added onto with a cheesy smile. The wind blew strongly and shook the branches of the tree. Raine closed her eyes. PLease don't fall, please don't fall.. "Lin!" Raine yelled at her, " Just hang on okay!? You'll be fine!"

After inching across the branch, Lin finaly made it to the trunk. Once at the trunk, she began to slowly inch down the tree. She moved around it to avoid smaller branches and such, but could not avoid giving herself any splinters. Her clothing caught a few splinters as well. She looked down, and she was about a fourth of the way down from the tree. She stepped upon a branch, causing it to crack and to make herself fall several feet down the tree screaming. She flailed out her arms and ended up clinging back to the tree with a ton of more splinters piercing her hands. She whimpered a bit and looked down, seeming to be only three fourths of the way down. She sighed in relief, glad that it was almost over. She inched down further, then leapt off the tree.
She made a deep, relieving sigh and looked at her hands, seeing the many splinters in her palms and fingers. Then she saw the splinters that got into her clothing. She was definately glad to get out of that tree. She looked up at Raine.
"Heh, sorry for the worry. I wanted to get my bow back," she made an innocent smile and wrapped her fingers around the white bow mounted upon her back.

Just as Amir was about to climb the tree, he heard the loud, piercing cry of his mother. '"AMIR! WHERE ARE YOU?" she shrieked as she pushed her way through the forest, trying to locate her favorite son. Damn. She is going to be sooooo angry when she finds out this is where I have been all this time. he thought, glancing over his shoulder, his soft green eyes full of worry. The urge to run away was almost undeniable at that very moment as he considered his options. If his mother found him with two girls in the middle of the forest, he would be in for total hell for possibly the rest of his life. But, if he runaway again, his mother could possibly be even angrier. He frowned. Neither seemed like good options. Wait! What if I pretended that I just got lost in the forest! Perfect.
The frown was soon replaced by a mischievous grin as he was about to walk toward the sound of his mother's voice. It was then the idea of leaving Raine and Lin, more importantly Raine, hit him. He sighed. He really did like Raine-chan. But, he liked being alive more.
"I am sorry, Raine-chan and Lin-san, but I am afraid I have to take my leave. My mother will kill me if she finds me here. With two girls." he managed to offer as an excuse. Amir leaned toward the older girl and kissed her on the cheek. "I hope we will meet again, Raine-chan." he whispered to the Water Tribe girl before turning around and running toward the sound of his mother's voice.

Raine nodded. “At least you got it back, right?” She before letting out a nervous chuckle. Lin was surprising to Raine. Why would she do something so dangerous for a bow? She had to admit though; Lin was currently a lot braver than Raine was, or had ever been. Raine always attacked brave but she really wasn’t. Even when she was little it was never her job to be “the brave one”. . . She was the one who would break into sobs. Maybe she could learn something from Lin.
Raine head whipped around to face Amir. “B-bu--?” she said as the young teen kissed her cheek and whispered to her. So he was leaving…? Just like that? Raine was so confused; and not to mention a bit annoyed and angry. She knew she wanted to argue with him, but when she opened her mouth nothing came out.
All she saw was the young acrobats face turned from her running away.
“I hope to see you again too…..Amir..”

"Well, that's true to say..." Lin replied. She loosened the grip on her bow, for her hands began to sting from many splinters that pierced her skin. Why she just did that stunt for a bow, she didn't know. She didn't even realize how high she was climbing until she retrieved her bow. It was more of the "accidental" dangerous stunt that Lin did.
She turned her head to the east and looked beyond the trees. She had to keep moving on. But then again, why had she journeyed this far? What was the purpose of traveling so far south? She forgot or never knew, that was for sure. But it was too long of a journey to turn back now. So why not keep going and see what lies ahead?
She turned back to Raine. "I must be going. I don't exactly know where, but I want to keep moving."
With that, she began walking. She knows that she'll see Raine again someday, but just in case she stopped and looked back at her. She gave a smile, and then ran off without another word.
To most people's reactions, they would wonder why she would leave just like that. They'd look at her with one thought one most likely would think; "What a very odd girl."
