Making a long [unimportant] (back)story short: From Distant Horizon. In 'Links" under "Communities." Yours Truly: *derisive snort 'n smirk* Oh really now? *clicks link* Were you pleasantly surprised? Psssh Given the way this place was run, the standard you're all looking for along with the amount of writing and non-squeeing thought you want involved. "Pleasantly surprised" is an understatement. (And there was my first experience with a c-box *squee*) And after a few all the RPGs I was at closing or dying before and when I got here. Along with the skanky issues of some RPers elsewhere I use to play with. This place has become more than the calm eye in the storm for me. *points thumb to sign in background saying "Feng Shui, Sweet Feng Shui"*

I found it by accident and thought it was pretty cool i think i searched something avatar related and i just happened to stumble upon Feng Shui
I was impressed by the standards for the site, like how everything is made to be so much more realistic and how stuff thats not canon is not allowed, I HATE those character that have hot pink hair and a star on there head *cringes*

Hmm...I think someone told me about it back when I was admin of a roleplay site ofr the "Gifted". -mourns the loss of DFBS- I think someone who was a member at that site, was also a member here. And she told me about it. ^-^

I was in DH for a while RPing there it was pretty crappy compared to the stuff here (Kura remember Singe Forest?) thats where Sekar and my oldest character Soba had their starts.
So I moved in here and threw Sekar in (I was here during the Nami incident) and I had a blast, this is truely my internets hidey-hole :3
And the choi is major love

Challenged, unfortunately, that my writing skills were weak compared to the spitely bites of others. Hailing from Aestus Immortal, I scoffed, and was told to come here.
I'm always interested in snuffing out good talent, so I'm sure Feng Shui can muster up good worksmanship.

I found it from a friend from another website who pointed me in this direction. Said there was a lot more organization and dedicated members, so I breezed through it. The set up was really detailed, and it had been a while since I been to a board-wide RP. Nevertheless, it was still something new, so I took interest. Two characters later, my third was a success after greatly editing the bio and such. And that's the blunt of the story.

Long abandoned, sadly. But most of the main staff is on here: I'm Sakura, Coldflame plays Zuko, Moksey is Midori, Lady Anta is Mesheiko, KajiHime is Rairii, and oh, god, who else? o.o

I found it via The First Avatar: The Last Airbender RPG Ring purely by accident. I was looking for another active RP to participate in, decided to search for one based around a series I loved rather than an original concept, and found a link to this site.
Now to begin wading through all of the posts and information. XD

I had been searching for a good Avatar RPG.
I tried one at TV.com, that's how I got started.
Then I tried Flying Bison- sucked.
After that I tried one whacky thing about Resident Evil merged with Avatar- insanely moronic.
I spent about a month on each, except TV.com- spent about 2 months there.
The leader at TV.com was insane- he thought I was some other guy from the thread who created another profile for the sake of playing another character. ThatLostGuy- hated that scum.
It was a messy and disorganised dead forum, as you can see over there now, and then I decided to try this thing- Feng Shui- Harmony.
Harmony it was- an enlightening green, decorated by Xia Feng. A friendly community actively involved in catering to all members. For a 19 year old, I was sick and tired of playing some twisted resident evil crap.
Thank you, Feng Shui community- even if I get scraped in the end, I will never ever forget this place.

OMG TV.com... I was one of the first few that really got the Avatar forum going over there... Pianist and Pooldude and Moksey and Gunfire and so many others... a lot of them ended up over here, too XD ISpeakTheTruth and Ngo and Wolfgirl and Katuko... others.... all the old members left though. I heard it really went to hell over there. Better you left.
Thought what was wrong with Flying Bison? Did you hit it in an inactive period? They are our sister site... but they are also made to be a little easier than we are.

It all started with FanFiction.net, when I was a rabid MS writer. Someone posted a comment about one of my stories, and it happened to be Rairii.
On her profile page, I followed the link to her website homepage. On the affilation page I followed the banner to the RPG collection.
From there, I spotted a new post in the advertisement section, finding the first advertisement to Feng Shui, back when it was the Tranquility layout.
I thought I was gonna lose interest, but it was quite different. I actually lost interest in the other Avatar RPs I attended.

Lol, the way I found this site is funny. I used to be (still am?) an admin on another Avatar RPG, and my responsibility was taking care of our official site (which I slaked off on because I had school...). Anyway, my co-admin, the president of the RPG if you will, said no to someone who wanted to join because he thought it was someone trying to duel role (that was a big issue)
So, after many rants from the guy, we hear nothing from him for months. Finally, like five days ago, he comes back bragging about how he found this RPG. Although the link he gave us worked just as much as a millionaire's son does, I looked and looked and looked and finally found this RPG.
I never left my old one, but it's dead anyway, since people stopped posting, the story got un-avatarish. Gosh, I go away for a week, and I come back to find ZOMBIES in the story. That's right. ZOMBIES. I can't believe the admin actually let that happen... I guess it isn't as bad as the tournament that he and the others forced on me and the other RPers where pretty much all the characters fought each other. We never saw the end of that, though, since those who chose to participate never posted their fights -_-.
So, I went with it for a while, but the guy (not the president of the RPG, the guy who came up with the whole Zombie thing) started introducing things that should NEVER be in Avatar.
If you want to see what I'm talking about, try to find the RPG ... I feel too ashamed to give you a link. But, I guess I owe that RPG something ^^. Regrettably, that something is my business only. ^^
