Hoji's eye twitched. The elder boy looked at the small girl he now supported, weighing the pros and cons of his next action. He took a deep breath and suddenly swung around and punched at Kavik hard, aiming for the other boy's jaw.
"Dammit Kavik! Get serious! This girl has had a concussion. A concussion! Do you even know how threatening this could be? She could die!" He yelled, his face a mask of rage. Hoji's entire body quivered with rage, his breath misted in front of his face.
He growled and turned to the girl, making a split second decision that he knew he would eventually regret. Hoji quickly streamed the water from his feet into his hands, enveloping his tanned arms. The water began to glow as he kneeled and put one hand on Tei's shoulder and the other on her head. He concentrated and the water pulsed to his heartbeat, quickly swarming to the places that needed healing on the girls small body. He narrowed his eyes and stood up.
"There, you should be alright now." he said, allowing the water around his arms to drop to the ice. "Tell me now if anything hurts."

Kavik stumbled back holding his jaw. Bright flashes buzzed around his eyes. Hoji punch hit him and hard. "GODSF*&%$ DAMNIT!" Roared Kavik as he tried to reclaim balance. "YOU DON'T HAVE TO HIT ME! I HAD THREE CONCUSSIONS BEFORE, AND THE LAST ONE HAD ME OUT FOR FOUR DAYS! IT'S WONDER I'M STILL THINKING!" Screamed Kavik at the top of his lungs. He rubbed his jaw glaring at Hoji at his healing power. "Hmmm go figure you would have the "Gift". You're superior at everything else. And anyway I was trying to keep her calm and at ease, panicking and acting serious would confuse her a make things worse. I know that from experiance." Kavik angerily sat by the deity staute with a glare at Hoji with a look of bitter arctic ice. He rubbed his swollen jaw it hurt like hell and worst of all...he deserved it.

Hoji never batted an eyelid at Kavik's words. He had heard worse by people much more influential and important than Kavik. He stood up slowly, shaking off the last drops of water from his hands. The elder boy shook his head and turned, glaring at his recent friend and possibly even more recent enemy.
"Lords Kavik." he growled. "You hardly think at all, and I highly doubt even a concussion could cause the kind of brain damage you have." he continued, shooting icy daggers at the younger boy.
"I'm not superior. I'm not better. I'm not a god. I'm not above you or anyone else." He said slowly, the syllables coming out in short choppy breaths. "The only thing I am is indifferent. I just don't care about some things and it seems like everyone else does."
He shook his head and looked back down at the two small girls a few feet towards his left. "Go home." he said. "This is no place for little girls."
Hoji turned away from the two siblings and walked over to Kavik. "We have a fight to finish." he spat, without degrading himself more. He turned on his heel and walked about ten feet away, settling into a deep stance.

Kavik. Was. Pissed. Not only did Hoji acted like didn't give a damn when obviously he did or he wouldn't have healed the girls but he had the balls to still continue the fight even though Kavik was in pain. "FINE! Lets finish this. I'm gonna beat your pale butt until it's black and blue." Growled the bender threatenly. He got into his stance at equal distaiance from Hoji. He smiled at least Hoji still smelled like a brothel. He created the thick fog again and located Hoji by the rank stench. Focusing he had a plan of attack. Above and below. He took the water around him and send in the air drawing hands up and with a flash he slammed one hand down. He was gonna send ice spikes above and then if Hoji dodge he can locate him by the smell and slam him with a wave of water below. It was gonna keep him in one position and all of his consentration, but it was the perfect revenge for Hoji busting his jaw...which was still throbbing.

Hoji frowned. Mist again. And he stank to the moon. His eyes narrowed even more threateningly. Damn. This would take some serious skill to pull off.
Kavik would know instantly where he was and was probably was already planning an attack, if not putting it in action. Hoji listened hard, knowing that he would probably lose a match of reactions.
That was it! Make sure you had enough time to react and then you could succesfully block the other attacks! Hoji breathed and realized a second to late that Kavik had already sent a barrage of ice-spikes at him. He lept out of the way, but not before getting his left leg punctured in a dozen places by the needles.
Hoji gritted his teeth. No time to take them out! He needed to get his reactions in check. In an instant he had regained his composure and pulled his arms up, consentrating hard on the ice beneath him. The tundra that he stood on suddenly heaved upwards, a circular pillar at least fifty feet tall made of solid ice formed the platfom on which Hoji now stood.
Good. Now he could at least dimly make out Kaviks shape, not to mention that he would have seemingly dissapeared into the mist, stench and all.
Blood dripped down Hoji's left leg, and although it was painful, Hoji crouched down, ignoring the wounds and watched Kavik's outline intently, following his every move.

"HEY YOU-" Nyoko screamed in anger at the boy’s biest. Tei cut her off by clasping a hand over her mouth. Nyoko struggled for a minute trying to get her opinion out, but stopped after a few minutes. "Tei." she whined. "Why do you let them talk to us like that? They act like we can't fight."
"That's because we can't." Tei said not looking at her sister, but staring at the white ground. "Come on." She turned towards the exit and put her hand out for Nyoko.
"No! It's not fair, Tei! Can fight, I know I can." Her sister said, her voice bordering between sadness and anger with a hint of frustration.
"You don't know how to, Nyoko. You're not allowed to fight anyway, now come on."
"No! I'll fight these boy's and show them, I will!" She screamed in ignorance. Her ideal of being a great fighter would be horrible crushed by her inability to wield any weapon.
"NYOKO!" Tei turned to grab her sister, but she was already bolting along the arena's sideline to the other side. "Fine!" she yelled through the mist that plagued the arena the boys were fighting on. Her sister was lost from sight and Tei stormed out of the arena and towards home, her head only slightly throbbing.

Kavik bit his lower lip. Dammit! I can barely smell him! Where did the scent go? Underground? Kavik maybe bad with reactions but he was keen when it comes to quick thinking. Only way was up and Kavik had another plan. Now that Hoji was on a platform and can see him in he thick fog, Kavik need to cut him back down to a level playing field,
Just then he saw a young figure dart across the arena and safely to the other sideline. Good maybe that kid can stay out of our way.
Kavik moved swiftly through the mist and grabbed something from his satchel. His gliders he will weave though mist draw the water away from the icy platform becoming liquid then into his fog cloud.
Hoji will move slowly down and won’t get a good shot from above because Kavik will be moving so fast. Farther Hoji descends…the better Kavik could smell him.
It was perfect. The only problem was turn ice to water and then to gas was a slow process. Very slow. It will take him an hour before any changes. Plus Kavik was getting tired fast. His jaw was aching like hell and steering was gonna be a bane. It was more likely will get to tired and pass out or loose control and run into the platform. Personally, he prefered the former.
He tie his skates on and got to work. It seemed like the only option at the time. Even though his brain was screaming to think of something else. But when did Kavik lisent to common sense?

Hoji's eyes narrowed. Kavik was now moving faster, weaving in and around the small arena that they were fighting in. No one could move that fast on ice. . . Unless. . .
Hoji growled. It was those dammed gliders again. He stood up, the blood on his leg cracking from where it had frozen to his skin. He didn't bother to pull the icy needles out, he knew that would only make the blood come pouring onto his tunic and leggings. Besides, they hadn't hit anything vital.
The elder boy breathed and concentrated, his eyes moving quickly, tracking Kavik's spastic movements. Now!
The air around him whistled as he rose his hands up quickly, bringing them back up and down again in succession. The ice far beneath him suddenly rose up in a random upheaval of walls and spikes. Nearly every inch of the tundra within a ten foot radius of Hoji's platform had been convoluted in some way, twisted, turned, moved into something wickedly unknown.

Adrenaline and the need to prove herself ran through Nyoko's veins as she darted to the other side of the arena along the side as not to get in the boys way. She hoped they would finished their dual soon because she had a bone to pick with them, actually several of them. oh yes she did, she was going to give them a good piece of her mind. who do they think they are? just because their boys. They think they can boss me around like that. No way, not in the life time. she thought her stubborn mind wheeling with insults. she slumped against a cold hard outer wall, a safe distance from the battle, thinking of all the mean things to say to them. Her thoughts fueling her anger, continuing her want to find one of them in the mist and hit them as hard as she could in the face.

Kavik speed was increasing, making it hard to control. Smooth and fluid Thought the boy over and over in his head. He was getting increasingly lethargic in his gestures. The tedious process of drawing the water from the pillar was taking it's toll.
Kavik watched the pillar convulse into something sinster and dangerous. "Crap not good. If I run into that...well maybe I'll reincarnated into a better waterbender. He tried to avoid the spikes but it was hard to steer on slippery ice. One foul move...and it could be disaterous. He need to avoid the spikey patches at all costs. His parents didn't need to find their only son, skewered on ice spikes. Kokomi wouldn't mind having the room to her self though. Mused the tribal teen.
Then the worst happened in full momentum, Kavik lost control and veered toward a vicous wall of spikes. Kavik's eyes widen as he slid towards the spikes, and gave a shattering scream when he made impact. "GAHHAHHHH!!"

Nyoko stood up stalk strait as she heard the scream. All anger she was holding onto fled away in an instant and was replaced by horrible worry. What did they do to each other? she asked herself, but she had no answer. Afraid that one of them could be seriously injured she lunged into the mist with no fore thought. She knew her sister would scald her for this, but she couldn't just wait on the sidelines. Her small body slide easily over the ice making it difficult for her to stay on her feet. "BOY!" she yelled out hesitantly. She wanted to call him by name, but she didn't know either of their names. "BOY!" she called again hoping he would respond so she could find him. Tears streaked her cheeks once again as she feared for the lives of the strangers who, she herself, wanted to rip apart only moments before.

Hoji frowned and hoped that kavik wasn't too hurt. Granted, he did want to teach the younger boy a lesson, but not at the expence of life or limb. He breathed and ignored the stabbing pains that shot up his leg. He raised his arms up to chest level, his elbows bent. He concentrated and moved his arms downwards, letting out a deep breath.
Slowly the massive ice pillar Hoji had been standing on melted from the base, letting Hoji decend swiftly and efficiently. A few meters from the ground Hoji stopped and jumped off, sending a wave of pain up his left leg and leaving a dull icicle six feet high.
He landed and winced, looking around for Kavik. He frowned and moved his hands across his chest, dissapatating the mist around him. He took another deep breath andshifted his position, attempting to flatten the tundra he had previously upheaved.
He only half sucseeded, making the ice melt slightly, but not completely lose its shape. Hoji fell to the ground, then caught himself, kneeling on the icy walkway.
"Kavik!" he yelled. "Kavik! The fog's still to thick! Are you alright?"

Nyoko stopped, while she tried to it really ended more as a slow slide to a halt. The ice was wet and slippery and it made it so difficult to walk strait, that and th fog didn't help. Finally she heard the on of the boys voices through the mist, but by the sounds of it it wasn't the same boy that she had heard scream. But it was something to go on. She slowly moved towards the voice, not being able to see an inch in front of her nose and trying not to fall, until she bumped into a taller figure. "Boy, is that you? are you alright?" She looked up at the figure. He didn't seem hurt so she was sure it was the other boy that had been wounded. "If it's you, help my find your friend." Her brow was creassed with worry. She couldn't help dreading that something horrible had happened and even worse that they wouldn't be able to find him in the mist.

Kavik was in serious pain. He broke his right leg and tore up right side and nearly dislocated his right arm. He he tried to stand up but waves of pain knocked him down. "I'm over here Hoji..but I'm...not in the...best shape," Kavik didn't have the energy to disperse the mist but he had to try. With the last of his strength, he made the mist thin enough to make him visible. Kavik slid uncoscious after that.
Meanwhile during the match Shona came back from fishing. He caugh an Arctic Grayling and he wanted to make a nice dinner for his family. Maybe I'll invite Hoji's family too Though the fisherman. He was walking back to house to change his fishing clothes when he saw few children rushing toward the waterbender ring. "Hey cubs! Whats going on at the arena?" Asked Shona with mirthful grin. "There has been an accendent on the arena!" replied on of the kids "Oh who is it?" One kid cocked his head. "It's some kid on weird glider thingies and a braid." Shona face fell and bolted pass the children. Kavik!

Looking up through the clearing fog, Hoji's eyes widened. He hadn't wanted Kavik to get seriously hurt like this! Maybe teach him a lesson but nothing this life-threatening. The elder water bender grimaced and tried to stand up. The pain in his leg was like a storm going up his left side. Breathing hard, Hoji glared at the ground and gritted his teeth. He stood up and slowly limped over to Kavik, half dragging his leg behind him.
Hoji's eyes widened as he got a full view of the damage he had caused his friend. His fault! His fault! He collapsed next to Kavik, sending spasms up his shim. Breathing hard he slowly streamed the water from the icy tundra into his arms and hands, ignoring his own wounds in the face of Kaviks.
He breathed again and lowered his hands, concentrating on the younger boys broken leg rather than his other injuries. The water pulsed and flowed over Kavik, glowing and hopefully healing the boy.
Hoji breathed and broke off the healing, all his strength wasted. He swayed on his knees and then fell next to Kavik, unconscious.
