Raine looked to her caller. "Oh hey, Caiden." Raine smiled as she walked over to him, "Did you have a nice practice,bending...thing?" "Raine!" Someone called. Raine turned around and froze. "Oh , Raine!!!" "It can't be time already she frantically said looking up to the sky. "Uh-oh.." "Raine!" "Raine!" "Oh Raine!" A lot of voices called. Raine looked to the corner of the street. Three seconds later about seven children came running to wards her. "Caiden! Run for your life! " Raine said starting to run. But she was too late. She ran about four feet before being clobbered by the children. "Alright soldiers!" One of the kids called, "Tie her up and take the prisoner for questioning!" The other kids tied Raine's hands behind her back. "I don't want to play this game anymore!" Raine whined, "Caiden! Save me! " She called as she was pushed onto a boat and rowed to the coast.

Caiden was confused beyond reason, who were these kids, what did they want, and why were they trying to capture Raine? He didn't know what to do, but he saw that Raine was tide up on a boat and it was steadily going away. He started running after the boat along the bank. He was just barely keeping up with the boat and it was still gaining speed. I'll never catch up with it at this rate, he thought to himself. "Wait, I'm a waterbender. I can just stop it by using waterbender," he said to himself. He started through his usual routine of pushing and pulling to hopefully slow the boat down. When he finally got the boat down to a speed wherer he could catch up with it, he blew cold air to freeze the area around the boat so it couldn't go anywhere. When the boat was completely stopped, he froze a strip of the river's water that connected from the bank to the boat. He rushed across the ice, careful not to slip and fall. The kids rushed toward him, but before they could reach him, he had already summoned some more water from the steam. He then thrusted it toward the kids and sent them flying out of the boat. He ran over to where Raine was and untied her. "Come on, let's get out of here," he said frantically. They carefully ran across the strip of ice and away from those people. Once they were a safe distance away, they started to walk. "Okay, what is this about?" He asked, breathing hard.

Raine walked with Caiden, "Thank You, so much." Raine said breathing. "Here I'll tell you the whole story." Raine said starting it off. "OK, those kids over there are pure evil! Well not pure evil, but i know for a fact they are crazy. Anyway, I used to play with them all, but when I turned seven teen all they do is want to play with me more, until I told them I needed to take some time then they though I was crazy, and tied me up. Then they thought I was possessed, because they thought the 'old' Raine would always play with them. Then they tied my up on a boat made of drift wood, and pushed me out in to the sea as an offering to the water and moon spirits to bring the old me back, but they can't because I'm still here , but they think I'm not, and so that's been happening for the last six months." Raine inhaled the exhaled to catch her breath, "Get it now?"

"Yeah, I understand it now. It's still a bit odd, I have lived here all of my life and I have never seen kids act so wierd," he said half laughing. "I guess I kind of hit them a little too hard. I hope that they're not going to come after me next. He grinned and walked over to a nearby bench. He sat down and gazed up at the sky. The sun was edging toward the horizon, it would be dark soon. Dusk was the most amazing time of the day, the whole city was bathed in a bright orangish tint that made everything glow. "I never get tired of this site. Every day is better than the next. Too bad it can't last forever," he said. He turned around and asked, "Do you ever practice waterbending, or do you just heal?

Raine also sat down and enjoyed the view as Caiden did. "You'd be surprised of what those kids would do," Raine said grinning at him, "You could be next." When Caiden asked her about water bending she looked to him and answered. "Well.. I would if I could..but I can't...I mean, I can't say I haven't tried, though...Once when I was about eleven or twelve I tried some attacks and got caught...I was told never to do it again, so I started healing," Raine said as she frowned. But her frown soon changed to a smile, " But I'm good with just healing." Raine said leaning back. " It's not like it's the end of the world. Though, If they DID let girls and women learn I'd be one of the first."

"Yeah, I figured that you were that type of person," he said. "I just don't understand why women and girls can't; just because they're a woman or girl doesn't mean they're not as strong as men and boys. I'm quite familliar with our tribe's customs, but this rule is just unnecassary and it's prejudice to the ladies of our tribe," he said. He balled his hand into a fist, if there was anything he didn't like, it was this type of thing. There was a long pause and then Caiden said, "I got an idea, why don't you just practice at night when everyone goes to bed. That way, you won't have to worry about hiding and you can stay out in the open and practice. What do you think?" He asked.

“I agree, Caiden. I also think it is wrong for girls and women to not be trained because they’re a different sex. I get so irritated, but it’s been that way since the dawn of time, so I don’t think a few women could change the minds of the creators of the world.”
Raine bit her bottom lip at Caiden’s question. “Well… I... I’m not too sure about that...” Raine said to Caiden while running her hand through her hair. “Don’t get me wrong I’d love to do that, it’s just… What if I some how get caught. Trust me, if I do, it won’t end well at all.” “And besides, I don’t even know the simplest move in water bending.” Raine started, “I’d be a fish on dry land. Or a fish with no water. Whatever floats your boat.” Raine told Caiden. It was getting dark now, and the moon and stars were reflecting on the flowing water ways.

"Yes that may be true, if you or I got caught, then we would be in a lot of trouble," he said looking out at the ocean. The sound of the waves overlapping against the bank sounded like music to his ears as he watched the shining ripples in the moonlight. "There is one thing though, two people can make a difference, if they try to their fullest and never give up on their dreams. In anything you do, you should always try to your fullest potential and you will never be disapointed. If you always do everything to your best then you can go home happily and know that you have no regrets. My father told me that," he said. There was a long pause and then he got up. "It's getting late, I think I'm going to head home. You can just sleep on what I've told you. G'night," he said to her as he was walking home.

“Good night Caiden.” Raine said as she held her knees against her chest and stared out in to the clear blue ocean.
Raine sat there for a few more minutes then also headed home.
Raine changed into her bed wear and laid in bed, soon drifting off into sleep. Raine started to hear voices in her dreams. ‘..Their fullest and never give up on their dreams…... In anything you do…… you should always try to your fullest potential…..you will never be disappointed…….. Everything to your best then you can go home happily………you have no regrets….no regrets…..no regrets…’
Raine’s eyes shot open and she launched up in bed. Raine knew now what she had to do. She flung her blankets off and changed her clothes. She was going to start waterbending.

It was late, not a sound was heard as Caiden lay awake in his bed. He couldn't go to sleep, he was thinking about his past and his father. Today was the first time he had talked about him in a long time. He usually just kept these things to himself, but for some reason, he felt like he could trust Raine. He eased out of his bed and wlked over and put his boots and coat on. He crept down his slippery stairs and out his front door. It was cold as usually, even with his heavy coat on. He started whistling a tune as he rounded a corner. He was going to go back to the training field and see if that person that Raine and he saw earlier today was still there. He walked up to the usual statue and crouched down. He heard a splashing noise and he knew it was probably that person, but when he was in sight, to his surprise, it wasn't the same person, this person was a girl and if he wasn't mistaken, the other person was a man. "Who goes there," he said in a much more deeper tone than he had intended.

Raine kept her hood on as she started water bending. Raine bent and curved her wrists. Her arms circled in the air as the water followed. ‘I can’t believe I’m water bending!’ Raine thought to her self exited. Raine slowly twirled around. The water coiled around her like a vine. Raine swished the water back and forth. Then she heard a voice, “Who goes there?” Raine’s eyes grew wide. She froze and the water dropped to the ground. Raine stood there for a second then sprinted as quickly as she could towards the city. Raine raced down the stairs, jumping every three or four stairs. Raine dashed down the sidewalk. Her hand flew to her hood to keep it on from flying off. Raine was out of sight but knew she would soon be found. Raine jumped into a large water pipe and went in a little bit. She draped her cloak over her, hood still on, and sat in the dark, hoping she wouldn’t get caught.

Caiden immediately dashed after this person. She kept her hood over her head so he couldn't see her face. He ran faster in hopes of catching her and it seemed like he was gaining on her. She rounded a corner and when he tried to do the same, he slipped and fell on the cold hard ice. "Ouch!" He said. He slowly got up and peeked around the corner. No one was there, so he slowly walked out, casting looks everywhere. I wonder where she went, he thought. He decided that he would hide and hope that the girl might come out. If there was anything that surprised him, it was that a she had been waterbending, a girl. He must have been there for about thirty minutes. His eyelids started to fall over his eyes, he was getting tired. Right before he was about to give up, he saw a faint shadow in the moonlight. He rubbed his eyes to see if what he was seeing was true and it was. He didn't go out just yet though, he decided that he would wait, just incase it was someone else.

‘I knew this was a bad idea!’ She screamed at her self in her mind. ‘What am I going to do!?’ Raine sat quite for about a half an hour and took a quite breath. Raine knew someone was following her. She knew they hadn’t left. Raine had earlier heard an ‘Ouch!’ so she was sure she was followed. But that voice. That voice sounded so familiar to her. ‘Who was it?’ She thought. Raine saw a shadow move. ‘It’s him!’ She thought as her eyes shot open to him. Raine had to think quickly, or she would get caught. Raine was about to get up, but she stopped herself. ‘Why would he hide there? He knows where I am, why hide…’ Then it hit her. ‘He’s waiting for me to expose myself.’ Raine closed her eyes and, once again, took a quiet breath. Raine had a plan, but it was a slim chance it would work. Raine moved her fingers and wrists and bended some water behind the man. The water quickly moved to his feet and froze, immobilizing him. Once the water froze, Raine ran and didn’t look back. ‘That ice isn’t going to hold him for long. It’s too thin.’ Raine ran across the same bridges again to try and confuse him. Raine looked back. She had finally lost him. Raine jogged into one of the healing huts. Raine took off her cloak and hid it. Raine sat next to a healing dummy and practiced healing on it while letting out a sigh or relief.

Caiden saw the faint shadow start moving, but then he realized that it wasn't walking, it was doing waterbending movements. His eyes widened, he was about to move, but then he heard a crackling noise and he could feel his feet starting to become very cold. He looked down at his feet and saw that they were incased in ice. "Ugh," he said to himself. He pulled out his whale knife and started trying to break out of the ice. The ice was thin, so it wasn't too hard to get out of. Once he was finally free of the ice, he looked up and saw part of a person going around a corner. He rushed after her, but there was no way that he was going to catch her now. He rounded one last corner and saw that she was out of site. He walked down the completely deserted street. No lights were on, except for one. He walked over to the window. He peeked into it, careful not to be seen. To his surprise, he saw Raine, she was practicing her healing. He knocked on the window and waved at Raine.

Raine was sitting on her knees practicing her healing techniques. ‘I’m home free,’ she chuckled to her self. ‘The day I do that again and get away with it is the day I see a flying finned koala.’ She thought to her self smiling. Raine changed her position from on her knees to cross legged as she continued. ‘I have to say that was fun though. But it was so scary.’ But her eyes widened when she heard someone knock on the window. Raine turned her head to wards window. To her surprise it was Caiden. Raine waved to Caiden and got up. She walked out side to meet Caiden out by the window. “Hey Caiden,” Raine said smiling. “What are you doing out here? It’s a bit late out.” She asked suspiciously, tilting her head a little bit waiting for an answer from Caiden.
