Kasashin smiled and nearly let out a girlish giggle. This man really was amusing. Talking about his loveless love life was obviously hard for him. She noticed the way his shoulders had tensed and his eyes had changed. He was suspicious, and she loved suspicions. They normally turned out correct.
She watched his calm motions, still listening to the soothing tempo of the rain on the roof. Her eyes almost betrayed her as she noticed to needle in his arm, but she controlled herself through reasoning. This man was a healer, probably over-stressed. The needle was most likely in an acupuncture point, designed to relieve nerves.
The elder woman looked up at Sekar. "I was a geisha for the first twenty years of my life, or at least in training to become a geisha." she said, staring levelly at a spot a few feet to the left of Sekar's head. "I never actually became a geisha, instead I decided to run the teahouse I had previously trained in."
She smiled, remembering the praises her Onesan had given her for her grace and beauty. "I would have danced. I was such an amazing dancer."

Sekar sighed, the thoughts of dancing where happy ones. When he played the gamelan, and danced to his foster mother's flute playing and saying the folksongs he knew. Such happy memories. Though. In Sekar opinon, the best memories is when he played the gamelan and Fushigo danced after a long day of work. Sekar winced remembering how bittersweet those memories were.
"Ahh yes, the dance. I often use to dance when I was a little boy. my mother taught me to play the gamelan and the dancing was sorta...spontanous. Even today I often find myself spinning erracticly in my long prayers with the gods." Sekar glanced at the needle. He would need to remove it soon. "Acupunter these days is so much better then herbal treatment..Much more effective." Sekar pulled out the needled sterilzed the tip with a flash of flame and stab the nerve on his other wrist. "Ahh better."

Kasashin watched the man's face intently, noting it's every twitch and move. This was a beautiful and painful subject for Sekar, that much she could tell. His face flitted from loving to hurt in an instant, showing ranges of emotions in only a few seconds.
"I was an amazing dancer." Kasashin muttered, remembering the lit stage she used to preform on in front of young men from all across the Fire Nation. "Heh, but those days are over. I can no longer preform any dance other than the morning shuffle to get out of bed. A step which requires more effort every sunrise."
Kasashin eyed the needle disinterestedly, although inside she was wary of the sharp point. If she knew anything it was to never assume anything. That needle could instantly turn on her, point at her throat, temple, liver, lung heart. All in a matter of seconds.
The rain pounded harder on the rooftop. Senmitsuya sighed and looked at the ceiling. "I hope that nice girl from before has a good place to rest on this wet night.

"Oh yes. Rairii is sleeping soundly in attendent rooms. I recently hired her. My old attendent Roka, just gave birth last week. I delivered the baby myself. So, she's taking care of the baby and I need a new worker. Rairii is a big help. Full of life and fire. Infact she the only other bender besides me. Which is a nice now that I have a sparing partner and I can teach Rairii the healing methods that Fush-" Sekar stopped. No. Don't. She doesn't need to know. Why would an old woman care anyway.
Sekar turn his head away, he didn't want to even go there. Five years is a long time, but still. It hurt to even think about it. He never shared his beloved's gresome death to anymore save Yuka and Tomo. Why would this old woman be any different.

Kasashin raised an eyebrow and crossed her legs, adjusting herself into a more comfortable sitting position. She looked over at Sekar and smiled wanly, remembering her own lover she was forced to turn in over thirty years ago. She could tell this man was thinking about some deceased loved one. During her entire life this war had been going on, even when the Fire Nation wasn't wining. She had seen the look on Sekar's face on many others.
Kasashin didn't really care about Tomo or Rai. She was only really interested in Sekar at this point, and even then only from a distance. He wasn't a threat. He was just. Interesting.
She cocked her head to one side and stood up. "If you show me to the kitchen I will boil up some tea. An apothecary like this is sure to have a delicious selection of herbs; I'm sure that I can mix you up one of the most delectable cups of tea you will ever hope to drink."

Sekar smiled. This woman was harmless, and seem kind enough. Perhaps...yes he will tell her what was one his mind. After all sake and tea has a habit of loosing Sekar's tounge.
"I would be most please." He said standing up. "I'll grabs some of my private stores for to use." Sekar ran out of the hut and entered his. He grabbed, peppermint, windroot, skyeberry and several other herbs as well. He found a pot and kindling he ran to the hut with the herbs stuffed in his billowing sleves.
"Here you can use these, cooking herbs. The medicinals are a little too potent." Sekar rearraged the herbs and left the pot in the rain. A short while later he brought the pot in filled with fresh water. "I hope this good." He sighed and leaned back looking into the dark night. "I can light for you if you want....and I'm sure your interested in...what happened here, two years ago."

Kasashin smiled and watched through half-lidded eyes as the young healer left the room. She sat back and listened to the waning pattering of the receding rain. The storm was almost over, the night was growing old, there was no suspicions that Kasashin once held over Sekar that would satisfy her. Nothing was wrong, and everything must move on.
She would prepare some tea, fall asleep, and then leave. Kasashin sat up straighter as Sekar entered again, laying out the herbs and plants. She selected mint, tea leaves, and some stevia, for sweetening the tea. She ground up the herbs using the provided mortal and pestle, reducing them to a finely crushed mass of leaves. She placed the mixture in the sieve of the tea kettle and bowed, honoring the spirits before she began to cook.
"Itadakimasu" Kasashin muttered, raising from her kneeling bow. She sat back and smiled at Sekar. "If you could create some fire? I'm afraid I am not a bender." she said.
"If you want to say anything than say it. I will not press you for information." She smiled. "I probably won't be around long enough to tell anyone else either."

Sekar slunk back he closed his eyes and recalled the events that took place.
"I was to be engaged with a woman from another healing family two years ago. It was my mother's idea. The woman's name was Fushigo. She was a firebender as I, and a remarkable healer. He had a very fiery personality a sharp tounge and she was little guilble. Nevertheless, I was in awe of her compassion and love to heal and doctor. We grew together in the course of the months and we fell in love.
Things where going well for us. Our bond deepened and we where excited for marriage. Then things took a turn for the worst. I was walking with Fushigo one spring, when a Commader from the local divison stopped me from going up the hill with her. He told me that Fushigo comitted treason by helping Earth Kingdom prisoners. Punshiable by death." Sekar shook his head and sunk his shoulders.
"I thought it was lie, but Fushigo told me that these men need treatment badly and she had to assist them. So she walked into the cells and treated their wounds. Only to betray her kindness. The Earth Kingdom men, told the gaurds who help them with their injuries. They were treated and they could escape.
So my naive Fushigo was at the root. I watch the men tie her to a cherry tree, douse her with oil and set her aflame. Ironic that my "pheonix" never rose from the flames. I couldn't stop them, and even now. I feel nothing but guilt." Sekar sighed and stood up and lit the fire. "I made a vow. Never to kill with my sabons or firebending. Ever." He stood up and turned to leave. "I need to rest.."
Sekar has left the RPG

A roll of thunder had Rairii awake in instant as she bolted up, sitting up straight on the futon. Storms, oh how she abhorred them. She hugged her knees up to her chest and rested her chin on them. Even with her hate of storms, Rairii knew it wasn't the thunder that had woken her. The dreams she'd been having were closer to nightmares. Voices taunting her about having to work in a hospital because she was caught stealing to survive. I have to get out of this place. Rairii scooped up her bag and dug through it, coming up with 2 silver pieces and 5 copper. It was going to have to do. She slipped outside and sighed in relief that the rain was letting up and sunrise wasn't too far off. She slung her pack of her shoulder and descended down the slippery hill. Once more, at the bottom, Rairii looked back and muttered, "Sorry, Sekar." She then started off again, leaving Hokage, unsure if she was coming back again.
Rai has left the area
