Raine smiled as the answer came from the girl, "Really?" Raine asked suprised /semi exited, "I'm from the water tribes, too ." Raine shortly explained to her new aquantince. Raine looked back as she heard russling noises. It just happened to be Amir. . . Making loud crunching noises from the leaves under his feet while Raine looked back to the young teen. . . "Are you from the North?" The girl asked. Raine nodded as she started to respond, " Yes, yes! I am! Are you from there, too?" Raine asked exitingly. Raine was so caught up she had totally forgotten her manners, "Oh I'm sorry; I'm Raine," She said stretching out her hand as the girl stood up. There was some thing different about her. Before she seemed a bit timid. . . But this time she looked like she either was hurt by the question. . . or found Raine completely annoying. But she didn't look hurt, or sad or happy. The only thing left was: emotionless. Rays of light shined apon the canopy above them. Small rays of light seeped through the branches and leaves landing a spot on the ground.

"Such a charming reunion." Amir muttered, rolling his eyes and looking down at his feet. He glanced briefly at the girl Raine was talking to. She seemed tense, as if something was worried something would happen. It was an odd trait for someone who looked around the girl's age. He remembered being carefree and happy when he was thirteen, not annoyed like this girl seemed to be. He sighed, clearly bored with conversation.
He looked over to where the encampment was and saw Soraya trying to stop Lakshmi from throwing a wooden spoon at some of the children running around from being so loud. He smiled, glad that he did not have to help the moody woman calm down. It was a woman's job afterall, men should not have to spend valuable moments of the day trying to calm down their moody, pregnant wives. Amir leaned against a nearby tree and waited for the conversation to end.
"Raine, lunch is going to be served soon." he remarked simply, hoping that this would make Raine end the conversation so they could go eat. He was very hungry at the moment after sleeping through breakfast and did not feel like listening to two girls chat while his stomach was growling.

Lin put her bow back with her quiver of arrows in their holder, which was strapped to her back. She shook Raine's hand and smiled a bit, but her eyes stayed in an emotionless state. "Nice to meet you. I'm Lin," she said. Okay, Lin, try not to go maniacal if your temper goes off and scares her away... she thought to herself. "And yes, I'm from the North," she said.
Lin thought that she should get to know Raine before Lin would start to reveal happiness, sadness, or-- No, for Lin, anger was always mixed with hatred. All of the insults and teasing from her brother and his friends had shaped her temper into what it was today.
When she heard the boy speak, she glanced in his direction for a moment, then glanced to Raine again. She let go of Raine's handand let her arm hang at her side.

Raine looked at Amir after he shared his intriguing words, Amir! That is really rude. You can't just say that to someone, what if this girl hasn't eaten yet and is starving. . . Men... Raine thought, but soon after her thinking she responded to him,"Be there in a minute," She said to him then shorty after looking to the girl. The girl shook her hand and introduced herself. "That's a pretty name," Raine complemented."This is wonderful. Another member from up North!" Raine said as their shake broke apart. Then Raine thought of an idea, "Amir? . . Do you think we could have one more for lunch?" Raine placed a hand on her hip and shifted her weight. Then, a few seconds later, she looked over to Lin, "That is, if you have nothing planned already," Raine said with a friendly smile.

"I see no reason why not." Amir said, though he had quite a few reasons why this water tribe girl should not dine with them. They all were rude, full of annoyance, and impatience. That, and his mother might kill him if he brought anymore girls with him. "Amir! What is with you and all these girls? They aren't even village girls, they are from a totally different culture! And one of them is a bender! You know the way the Sen Song feel about benders! Just for this, you have emu duty for the rest of the month! Amir imagined his mother saying, waving her finger in his face. He rolled his eyes. His parents were so tradtional. It was enough to make him sick. All of his brothers had done exactly as his parents wanted, married the girls they had picked out for them and had said nothing of it. Amir did not want to have to get married to some girl his parents picked out for him, in hope of making them happy.
Sweat began to slip down his brow, causing him to reach up with his arm and wipe it away. He sighed. The humidity was enough to drive him insane. How his parents had put up with it all these years was beyond him. All this humidity was probably making Lakshmi even more irratable which was probably going to cause her food to be really bad.
"More screeching. Great." Amir remarked as Lakshmi began yelling at Soraya. He looked over at the encampment of the Sen Song acrobats. That certainly would probably scare the Lin girl away if she knew what was good for her. Suddenly, he was very glad that he had such an odd family.
"I am Amir. Amir Sen Song." he said finally, nodding at the girl before standing straight. He waited for the girl's response as Lakshmi continued to insult Soraya.

Lin turned her head to Amir and said, "Nice to meet you." she turned her head back to Raine. "Sure," she said. She hasn't had a meal since... when? Lin was so busy being grumpy in the woods that she didn't notice when was the last time she ate something.
But she sensed something about Amir. Annoyance? Impatience?Lin didn't do a single thing to annoy him... has she? Agh, I still haven't shown a lot of emotion and I'm ALREADY starting to get on someone's nerves?! she thought. In the back of her mind her temper began to boil. But she kept it hidden from the ones outside of her head. No, I will not let it out unless it's absolutely necessary... she thought again, pushing back the anger into the back of her head.

Raine waited for the two to respond to her question. And as soon as the question was answered, Raine smiled at Amir's and Lin's agreement on the matter, "So it's settled then, " She said leading Lin towards Amir, as they began towalk towards the Sen Song camp site. Raine looked over to Amir and started to converse with h im, " You know, Amir. . I could help who ever's making lunch out. Rice cakes, tofu, dupplings: You name it, i bet I could make. " Raine stopped for a moment then continued, ". . I don't want to cause extra trouble for your family and I could help carry some of the weight of making more food. And I love to cook, " Raine added offered waiting Amir's reaction to her offer.

Amir began to walk toward the encampment, humming a lullaby his mother had always sang to him when he was young. It was a simple tune, the words speaking of strength of the Earth Kingdom people. Written when the war started and sang by all mothers of Sen Song children to their young children, the tune still brought comfort to the young acrobat. He had long since forgotten the actual words to the song, only guessing. He just remembered the jist and the tune. He yawned, streching his arms out as he heard Raine talking.
Rice balls? Tofu? Dupplings? Yeah, she really isn't from around here. Amir thought, glancing at Raine as he let his arms drop to his sides. "Um....Well, around here, we usually don't eat rice balls that often. That is what the really rich people eat. We eat what we can make due with which usually is vegetables we find along the way, meat that we get from market places, and the occasional sweet from the marketplace. Though the Sen Song are successful acrobats, we really don't have loads of money to spend." Amir explained, shrugging. He felt slightly uncomfortable as he explained his situation to Raine. It had never occured to him when he was younger that his family weren't as rich as some of the biggest families in the Earth Kingdom but as he got older and realized that many people lived much better than him, he couldn't believe it. He sighed and looked at his feet, clearly embarrassed.

Lin listened to the two having the conversation. She tried to avoid going into it, considering she doesn't really like to talk and have a lot of conversation. Very unlike her little sister, who absolutely loves to have conversation and have a lot of attention. She didn't know about her brother, considering he was too busy making fun of her whenever his friends and herself were around.
Just even thinking about her older brother makes Lin's blood boil. She shouldn't get in trouble, her brother should. It's all cause and effect, so why couldn't the adults understand that? Why couldn't they know about the lies her brother tells? They don't believe Lin. They only believe her "responsable and caring" brother. Responsable and caring... my FOOT! she thought. Everything was normal before her mother disappeared. She had plenty of friends to back her up, and her siblings and herself always got along. But soon enough they wouldn't back Lin up anymore.

Raine looked to Amir as he explained how his family 'wasn't that rich'. Come to think of it. . .Raine wasn't that rich either. It was just her and her mother with a fishing business. Though Raine could find this kind of stuff for really cheap where she lived. Well, they did have a shortage of rice, taking that rice doesn't grow well in snow. Well at least not any snow she knew of. Raine looked over to Amir and gave him a nudge with her elbow as he finished up and his gaze drifted to his feet, " That's ok, " Raine started, " I'll just work with the stuff you've got," She said, how else, smiling. Now Raine looked over to Lin. Raine decided to ask her a question, " So, Lin. What kind of foods do you like to eat? Perhaps, i can make some thing that you perfer. "

Amir glared at Raine as she elbowed him. His gaze flickered from his feet to her face as he sighed in aggravation. "I doubt Lakshmi will let you help. She doesn't even let my Ma help. Trust me, you do not want to get on Lakshmi's bad side and the sure way to do that is to try to help her when she is cooking." he said in an all knowing tone. His sister was usually easily aggravating before she was pregnant, but the fact that she was pregnant just added to how easy it was to set her off. He rubbed a bump he had on his forehead as he thought about it, remembering an incident in which she threw a wooden spoon at him when he asked her when the food was going to be ready. It is like she takes out all her anger on me. I am not the one who got her pregnant, she should take it out on her husband. Amir thought, frowning slightly.
He half-listened to Raine talk to the other girl, clearly bored with this whole conversation. Raine was just trying desperately to keep the girl from feeling alone or something of that sort. What about me? I feel pretty alone right now. And the kid obviously does not want to talk to her. She just seems so........angry. She doesn't really seem like the type to start going on and on about all her favorite foods just because Raine asked her to. he thought, selfishly. He was the one who invited Raine all the way out here anyways.
"Amir! You have another one?" Soraya yelled as she ran toward him, rubbing a bruise that had appeared on her cheek, obviously the product of another wooden spoon incident. He shrugged and crossed his arms across his chest. "Raine-chan found her and decided to bring her with us." he replied simply, walking ahead of the two girls.
"Ma is going to kill you." his older sister remarked, looking over at Lin and Raine, a smirk appearing on her lips. "Hm. We will see about that." Amir said, returning his sister's smirk. They were both standing right where the forest lead into the Sen Song encampment. "No matter how much she may favorite you, you are still dead meat. Remember what happened last time you tried to bring a girl to the encampment?"
"No. I kinda try to block it out of my memory. Raine-chan! Lin-san! Hurry up! Lunch is almost done!" Amir said, turning around as soon as he finished his first sentence, waving madly for the two girls to hurry up.

Lin looked up at Raine. "It doesn't really matter to me, as long as it is and looks edible," she said. Then she faced forward, keeping her hands folded behind her back as she walked. Lin wasn't really much of a conversation-type person, anyhow. She just thought walking and having an uninteresting conversation was a waste of time and breath.
Lin looked up as Amir walked ahead of them, talking to another stranger. "Ma is going to kill you," was what she heard her say. Lin tilted her head very slightly in curiousity and wonder. What about bringing other people into their encampment? Is there a problem? she thought. When Amir gestured for the two to catch up, she walked a little faster to let Raine go ahead of her. As she walked a little faster, a slight gust of wind brushed against her face.

Raine looked to Amir, " If she wans help I'll gladly give it, but if she would rather do it her self, that's fine with me also," She finished giving a smile with a hint of a question to her self : what-are-you-gonna-do? Raine looked over to Lin as she replied to their conversation : "It doesn't really matter to me, as long as it is and looks edible," she said. Raine shrugged her shoulders. "Well, OK, then." Raine soon looked over to Amir and Soraya. Do siblings really do squabble this much? It seems a little in-human to me. . Raine thought to her self. Raine quickened her pase as Amir beckoned them to come while thinking through some things: Why am I 'Raine- chan and Lin - 'san'? Raine sighed I guess I will never know. . . Or it is just one of those things in life you can't change.

Amir walked into the encampment, Soraya right behind him. He smiled and yawned as he looked around, happy that he had missed the majority of Lakshmi's fit. "Ladies, you have now entered the encampment of the wonderful Sen Song acrobats, the oldest and best acrobats in the world." Amir said in a loud voice, bowing then walking over to a large fire in the middle of the camp. The Sen Song encampment appeared humble and modest, nothing very flashy present. The children slept on hammocks which were attacged to trees surrounding the area. The adults slept in dark green tents which were scattered all over the place, the biggest one being at the very back of the camp which was where Amir's parents slept. Near the big tent, about ten emu hourses were attached to the tree with bundles attached to their backs and saddles. On the other side of the tent, about seven more emu horses were tied to another set of trees. A makeshift table was set up near the fire which was where a very pregnant Lakshmi was setting down plates and wiping sweat from her brow.
"Amir, you finally decided to show up..........Wait, who are they?" Lakshmi said, looking at the girls behind Amir with curious eyes. She raised her eyebrows as Amir smiled and said, "The taller one is Raine-chan and the short one is Lin-san. I found them in the forest and they seemed to need food and we have enough so I thought, why don't we share?". He lied slightly as he spoke though, but that would be the only way that Lakshmi would let them sit down.
"AMIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? I HAVE BEEN WORRIED SICK!!!!!" a short woman yelled, running toward Amir and wrapping her arms around him in a bone crushing hug. The woman was much shorter than Amir and pulled him down slightly so he was crounching so she could look eye to eye with him. "Ma, I just helped Soraya get some water." the acrobat muttered, looking away from his mother, clearly embarrassed that his mother was treating him like this in front of two girls, Raine especially.
"But, I kept calling for you and you didn't turn up. Never do that again, you hear." Suna of the Sen Song said, shaking her son's shoulders slightly as she spoke. Amir blushed and kept his gaze focused on the ground as his mother hugged him even tighter. "Ma-" he started to whine but she caught him off by grabbing his face and kissing both his cheeks. Soraya giggled as she watched the scene from far away before turning to Raine and Lin and saying, "So, where do you want to sit? You can sit at the table, on the ground, or where all the hammocks are.".
"Amir, who are those girls?" his mother asked, looking over at Raine and Lin. "I found them in the forest and they looked hungry and seemed like they needed a place to stay." he muttered, a blush of humilation still present on his cheeks. His mother dropped her hands from Amir's face and said, "Well, they better only be staying for lunch. I do not like all this village girls running all over my camp.". Amir nodded, but not before rolling his eyes. He then walked over toward the table and muttered, "Don't ever mention what just happened again." to Soraya before leaning against a nearby tree and crossing his arms arcoss his chest, trying to regain what little dignity he had left.

When Lin heard a female voice yell out Amir's name, she immetiately glanced up to where she had heard it. Her eye twitched a bit seeing Amir get hugged and kissed by his mother. She smirked a bit in amusement. But, it reminded her of her own. When was the last time she saw her own mother? Lin had almost forgotten about her. But her mother disappeared... quesitonable and unanswered. Will she return? How would her mother react if she saw Lin now? Especially with her older brother constantly picking on her? Lin's smirk faded into an emotionless frown. When Soraya asked them about where they want to sit, Lin looked up at Raine and waited for her to reply first. It didn't really matter to her, but she just didn't want to pick.
