Raine looked over to Amir and shook her head to his offer. "No thanks. Why don't you give it to one of the little kids or your brothers." She suggested quickening her pase so that she could caught up wth everyone. Raine looked ahead. i wonder how close we're getting. . . . . She thought as they kept walking. Raine's boots kicked up dirt as she stopped by Soraya. Walking no at the same pase she turned to Soraya, "So who is waiting a the lake for us. . . . ?" She asked feelinga little stupid for not knowing or ignoring the fact that she might have told her already but she just wasn't paying any attention at the time. Raine awaited soraya's answer as they all continued to walk towards there current destination.

Soraya sighed in aggravation as Raine asked her a questioon, not because she had found Raine's question stupid, but because she was not really in the mood for having to answer questions. Hassan would be very annoyed if they did not come sooner or later, he had to wait on land instead of being able to go into the lake and was forced to stay in the hot and humid climate. Chances were that he was not going to be happy if they showed up now, let alone a couple minutes more if Soraya stopped every single time she was asked a question.
"Vishnu, Hassan, and a handful of our cousins and maybe a couple of our little sisters, you can never be sure with a family as big as ours. Vishnu is our little brother who is a year younger than Amir and Hassan is three years older than Amir and also our brother." Soraya said finally, in a hurried voice. Amir scowled as Soraya said Vishnu's name.
"But you probably wouldn't like Vishnu." Amir remarked, still scowling. Soraya rolled her eyes at her little brother's response and continued, "Amir and Vishnu are not really on the best terms yet no one has told me why."
"Not everything is your business, Soraya." he spat back, crossing his arms across his chest, both pita still in his hands. He stomped as he walked, pretending the ground was Vishnu's face. Dust flew up around where he walked, covering his bare feet. He sighed in aggravation and began to glare at his feet.
Soraya returned her younger brother's scowl. What is his problem? she thought, looking at the acrobat oddly. He never seemed to have issues with Vishnu before, what was the matter with him now? Probably was about a girl. Both of them are such players. the female Sen Song concluded before turning a sharp corner, leading them toward a clearing which had a large, clear lake in the middle of it.
A tall man who seemed to be like an older version of Amir, just with a smaller nose, paler eyes, and way more muscular, ran toward them, a frown of clear annoyance on his handsome face. "Pray tell, Sorie, why it took you so damn long to walk along a short path?" he spat, glaring down at his little sister.
"Nice to see you too, Hassan." Soraya replied curtly, placing her hands on her hips and standing on her tip toes so she would be able to successfully glare up at her brother despite her small height of 5'2". Hassan backed away slightly as Soraya gave him the famous female Sen Song death glare which was enough to scare the toughest admiral of the Fire Nation army. He winced under her gaze and attempted to change the subject, clearly not wanting to be chewed out by the woman. "Who are they? New girlfriends of Amir's? Are you trying to get Ma to kill you, boy?" Hassan asked, flicking his younger brother in the head, making him grit his teeth.
"Ha, Amir wishes. The taller one is Raine and the shorter one is Lin. They are swimming with us."
Hassan nodded, excepting this as a reply from Soraya before she began to walk toward a cluster of small children who were crowded around a very attractive young man who seemed about sixteen. Amir growled subconsciously and stomped childishly toward the small cluster though his stomping was interrupted by Hassan grabbing his shoulder and whispering in his ear, "Keep them away from Vishnu. He hasn't been seen with another girl in about two days and is looking which is never a good thing."

Lin slightly tilted her head a bit in confusion. What is the brotherly relationship between this Vishnu guy and Amir? What of the issues between these two in the past?
Lin crossed her arms and wanted to scowl about the "girlfriend" thing, but didn't want to appear to be rude. Hey, after the experience she's had with boys back up North, she won't get a boyfriend until she has matured enough to forget about those insults the boys up North threw at her. Which will probably be until she reaches the age of eighteen. Or even more, perhaps considering they'll probably still be throwing insults at her over the years. Heck, unless she knows the guy well, and he's nice to get around, she'll turn down any date with a good smack in the face and a loud shout of a big fat "NO!" She's had more issues that you can count on your fingers with the opposite gender in the past. So much, Lin's thinking about holding grudges against them.

Raine nodded as Soraya answered her question. But soon enough amir cut in saying: "But you probably wouldn't like Vishnu." Raine gave a questionable look and Soraya explained. Not on the best terms? Raine thought, I guess they fight a lot. . . " As Soraya introduced the two to her brother, Hassan , Raine smiled. She could see the family resemblance. She could also tell by the fact both of them thought she was Amir's girl friend, which she was not. Amir was just a friend, the happens to be a boy and romantic flirt at the same time. Raine tucked some of her hair that was hanging in her face behind her right ear. by doing so, her bangles made a soft chiming sound. There was also still a warm breeze.
Raine had alway loved the wind. When she was young she had always reamed of being an air bender. Being able to fly, from what she had heard, and make large gusts of wind. well, Raine was odd when she was a child.. . . .She also convinced her friends she was the Avatar, but that didn't work out so well. Raine smiled at her memories. Good times.

"Sorie! So nice to see you." the boy whose name was Vishnu called out, pushing children out of the way. As the boy came toward him, Amir walked in front of Raine and Lin, hiding their faces because of how tall he was compared to both of them. Vishnu sighed angrily and asked, "And what are you hiding, Mir-kun?". Amir wrinkled his nose at the mention of his childhood nickname as Soraya rolled her eyes, amazed at how stupid her little brothers could act.
The female Sen Song pushed Amir in the shoulder so he would move though he stood there, pressing his heels into the ground though it was a futile act for the woman eventually pushed him so hard that he fell over.
"Hey!" Amir exclaimed as he hit the ground with a "thud". Vishnu laughed loudly, his laugh resembling a donkey braying which always annoyed Amir so. He growled under his breathe, sounding a bit like the dog that visited the Sen Song encampment whenever it was hungry, and stood up. Beginning to brush himself off, Amir glared at Vishnu with such intensity, it would have made someone fall over.
"And who is this beautiful young lady?" Vishnu asked, ignoring Amir totally and turning his attention to Raine. Amir gritted his teeth and stepped in between Vishnu and Raine. "Her name is Raine. And she probably won't want to talk to you." the jealous acrobat spat, acting very posessive though Raine was just a friend, or at least, that was what she was for the moment.
"Touchy, touchy. I am sorry for my big brother's ignorance. He seems to think that all girls are his."
"I do not think that."
"Yes, you do."
"Now, I don't."
"Yes, you do."
"No, I DON'T!"
"Yes, you do, Mir-kun, you shouldn't deny it in front of a woman."
"WELL, AT LEAST I WAS NOT DUMPED BY A CERTAIN VILLAGE GIRL JUST BECAUSE SHE DID NOT LIKE THE WAY I SMELLED!"
"NATSU DID NOT LEAVE ME BECAUSE OF THAT! IT WAS BECAUSE SHE FOUND OUT ABOUT HANA!"
"Who also thought you smelled." Amir replied, smirking, glad he finally seemed to be winning this childish fight. Soraya and Hassan rolled their eyes in unison and backed away from the fighting brothers and their immature antics.
"You guys can go in the water now. I see all the kids have decided to." Soraya muttered to Lin and Raine as all of the little Sen Song children ran into the lake. She sighed and walked over to the lake also, peeling off her pale green, chinese styled dress to reveal an under dress that covered her until a couple inches below her mid-thigh. She then ran into the water and began to swim toward the children to make sure that they would not drown.
Vishnu ran toward his older brother with the intent of punching him but the acrobat was too quick. Flipping over, he dodged the punch and began to run toward a big rock which people often jumped off of, to hide behind. Vishnu began to run after him and just as Amir stood upon the large rock with towered above the water, Vishnu caught up with him. Without warning the younger brother reached out and pushed Amir off the cliff and into the lake far below him, Amir screaming the whole way down.

Wow, this Vishnu does really sound like a total jerk. Lin thought. She was going to turn to the lake. . . but when she heard the comotion between the two she turned her head and saw them fighting. She decided to stay and watch; she hasn't seen much action lately for a while. She listened to the argument, which made Vishnu sound like a total idiot. Without warning, when she saw Amir get pushed off the cliff, she made a slight jump. Hearing him screaming, she began to worry. Isn't there water below? Does Amir know how to swim? He should live. Unless he can't swim, Lin would definetly panic. How would Raine react? Soraya? Does swimming have to do with why Amir was acting very strange? What was going on here?!

"And who is this beautiful young lady?" Vishnu said as he had all his attention to Raine. Amir’s brother was very tall, or at least compared to her.. Not to mention quite hansom. She blushed a light pink and opened her mouth to reply but Amir angrily beat her to it.
Raine looked over to Soraya who told them it was okay to go in to the lake. Raine nodded and backed away and sat on a near by rock. Raine reached down and unbuckled her boots and slipped them off. She had long socks over her boots which she took off as well. Raine left her halter-top tank top on and sarted to untie the small knot keeping her pants up. Once she had slipped off her pants, underneath she wore a pair of skin tight shorts (to the middle of her thigh) with a minnie skirt like went around it.
Vishnu started to talk again. Raine tilted her head to the side for Amir was in between them. Raine back away a bit as Vishnu dealt the first punch. ‘What a violent family.’ Amir dodged the blow and ran. Raine didn’t think being pushed into the lake was worst than being punched but Amir looked like her would have taken the punch. Raine looked to Vishnu in a state of worry as Amir splashed into the water screaming, “Vishnu, why’d you do that? Can he swim?” Raine thought about the factor that Amir couldn’t swim on the walk, but didn’t think it was true.

As Amir hit the water, he shrieked even louder, his eyes tearing up as hit the water, chest first. The cliff had been a ways above the the lake, and the impact was enough to knock a small child out. Belly flopping onto the lake, epsecially from that height, was extremely painful for a seventeen year old acrobat. The part of the lake Amir had landed in was very deep and as he landed, he began to sink lower and lower. Waving his arms madly, he struggled to come up for air. But, alas, since he was not good at swimming at all, he just continued to sink. Gasping, Amir pawed uselessly at the water, trying to get back to the surface though the light of the surface became harder and harder to see.
Vishnu's eyes widened and looked down at the lake below. Soraya was already swimming toward the spot her little brother had fell, Hassan right behind her. "Vishnu! You idiot! Ma is going to kill us!" Soraya yelled before swimming even faster and harder. "Hassan, can you dive down there?" she yelled over her shoulder at her older brother. He shrugged and dove underwater and began swimming quickly. But, he could dive long enough to get his little brother.
"No. I can't." he muttered as his head appeared, breathing hard. He glared up at Vishnu who was looking down at the place when Amir had fallen. Suddenly, Raine's voice broke his trance. Turning to face her, he said, "I didn't know it was that deep. Amir never liked to swim, I don't remember why though. I was too young when it happened to remember.". He sighed and leaned over the cliff, preparing himself to jump but suddenly, something dawned on him.
Raine was wearing blue clothes, Raine had blue eyes, Raine was obviously from one of the Water Tribes. "You are from the Water Tribe, right? You can swim well then. Can you get him?" he said in a pleading tone, looking at Raine with pure begging in his eyes.

Lin scurried to the edge and looked over it, when she heard the splash. She heard Amir shriek very loudly as he plunged into the water. Hassan had said the water was deep; no way could she go down there herself either. Maybe waterbend from up here, but she doesn't know if that would help or not. Her eyes grew wider. "Vishnu, you moron!", was what she wanted to scream in his face. From the looks of Amir from up there, she now knew that he couldn't swim very well. She began to panic even more.
But she knew Raine was down there. She could probably waterbend as well. Lin wanted to help too, but she just had no idea how she would. . .

Raine ran towards the rock. She thought about water bending him, but she wasn’t as ‘talented’ with her water bending to get him up let alone from that distance. Raine looked down to Amir had fallen. She knew that, if it was as deep as she thought, she wouldn’t have enough pressure to get her self down where Amir was. Raine took a breath and swan dived in to the lake to after Amir. Swimming father down as Amir was sinking Raine was easing up on momentum. Raine twisted her body and the water around her causing her to drill deeper in to the water. Her lungs weren’t going to hold very much longer. Raine suddenly caught sight of Amir, fighting against the water. Raine was next to him and she grabbed him arm leading him up to the surface. Raine couldn’t hold her breath any longer, she was never good at holding her breath to start. Raine opened her mouth as bubbles drifted away from her. Raine’s head emerged from the water, gasping for breath, pulling Amir up with her. Raine pulled Amir to the rock and let him cling to the rock and let go of him. Raine also put her hand over her mouth and began to cough. A bit of water had found its way into her lungs. Raine sat on the rock and tried to water bend the water out of her lungs. She sucseded but still had a trace of it in her throut. Raine went back into the water and guided Amir to the shore. “You. O-okay?” She asked coughing between words.

As Raine grabbed onto his arm, Amir winced, not knowing who it was. Opening one of his eyes, he recongized the blurry outline of a woman or a girl. Soraya? he guessed but the girl's grasp on his arm changed his mind, Soraya's hands couldn't possibly be this soft and feel this nice on his arm. Letting himself be pulled along for the moment, for it was the only choice he had, Amir was embarrassed about his current situation. Actually, embarrassment was an understatement, having to be saved by a girl, especially the girl he liked. Humiliation, that was it. Absolute and total humiliation.
Letting Raine lead him along to the rock, he watched her waterbend water out of her lungs with wide eyes. Suddenly, he was full of the childish jealousy that always took over him when he saw someone bend. The Sen Song were supposed to reject the bending arts, finding them the easy way to talent. But, all fourteen children of Suna and Shiva did not share this belief. They envied benders, wishing they would have natural talent like they did.
He frowned as the girl continued to help him, leading him to shore. He was the man. He was the one who was supposed to be leading her to shore and the one who was the swimmer. But, alas, she was the one leading him along, which was humiliating in way too many ways. Laying on the shore as Raine spoke to him, Amir stretched his arms out, painfully from the impact of him hitting the water. "I'm fine." he muttered, looking away from Raine. He suddenly began coughing, all the water that had gotten in his lungs coming up in a few seconds.
Soraya and Hassan were already running toward them, Soraya screaming at Hassan for no reason. Hassan turned away from Amir and began to run up toward the rock were Vishnu was still standing, a very angry look in his eyes.
"Amir! Thank the gods, you are okay! Ma would have killed me if you drowned." Soraya yelled before wrapping her arms around her younger brother in a tight bear hug. He winced as his older sister hugged him and blushed in embarrassment, wishing she would not hug him like this in front of Raine.
"Let me see your chest, I need to check to see if you broke your ribs or anything like that." his older sister continued though Amir shook his head rapidly. Soraya rolled her eyes and muttered, "I never thought you would pass up the chance to show off for a girl."
Amir shook his head once more but Soraya pulled off his tunic, revealing his chest which was all red from the impact. Looking away, he sighed. "I don't think I broke anything." he muttered, prodding himself in the rib. Soraya sighed and began prodding him repeatedly in the side. "I'll be the judge of that." the female Sen Song replied, simply.

Raine sat on the ground, her eyes turning to Vishnu. But soon, Raine looked of to Amir who was being smothered by his sister at the moment. Soraya was prodding at Amir’s chest as Amir took off his tunic. Amir’s chest was red and, by the looks of it, really sore. Raine looked to Amir with semi- concerned look on her face making sure not to scare him, if she could, “You’re lucky you didn’t lose consciousness. . . . . With the impact putting pressure on your heart and inhaling water, you probably would have had. . . . a near death experience.” She explained having known about impact injuries. I hope he didn't break any thing Raine thought. She had broken her wrist once when she was small and slipped on ice falling on her wrist. As she remembered it.. It hurt pretty bad.

"See! This is why I don't swim! Raine-chan said I could have died!" Amir exclaimed as he was prodded at by his sister continual. Soraya looked him up and down before lifting up his arms then dropping them once more, making her brother wince in pain. If the intention of this insepction was supposed to humiliate and cause Amir even more pain, it was working. Soraya pursed her lips as she got up and walked around Amir, trying to seem like she actually knew what she was doing though she had next to no idea when it came to medical things. Prodding him once more in the shoulder, she sighed. "Nothing that bad." she concluded, causing the seventeen year old to roll his eyes and yell, "I THINK WE COULD'VE FIGURED THAT OUT WITHOUT YOU PRODDED ME LIKE I WAS SOME KIND OF FREAKY ANIMAL!" Soraya glared at him in turn and said, "Well, you deserved it."
"Oh, I deserve it now? Vishnu was the one who pushed me in!" Amir yelled, causing even more water to come up from his lungs as he stood up so he could properly face his sister. Forced to place his hands on his knees due to how forceful the coughs were, the boy began hacking like an old woman, not stopping for a long period of time. Soraya placed her hand on his shoulder as she watched her brother cough and cough, her eyes wide with concern.
"Are you going to be okay?" she muttered as he finally stopped coughing. Amir wiped spit from his lips and said, "Yeah, I'll be fine." The woman sighed and turned to Raine, "Could you watch him will I go look after the little kids? Ma will kill me if one of them gets hurt also."

The breeze was now just a little heavier brushing/ skimming against Raine's back. It was a bit cool to have wind brush against you when you’re wet, but Raine grew up at the north pole, She could handle it. Raine started to hear the chattering of a few birds. Small droplets of water fell to the ground as Raine moved a couple of strands of wet hair out of her face behind her ear.
Raine interupted as Amir told everyone he could have died. "I never said you could have died," She made clear, " A near death expirience is much different from actually expiriencing death.." But it's pretty close, She thought
Raine wringed out her hair and nodded as Soraya asked her to 'watch' Amir. Raine sighed, "You want me to teach you how to swim?" She asked after a breif silence between the two teenagers.

Amir shivered as wind blew past him. Being from the Earth Kingdom, he was not used to the cold. Seventeen years of traveling around the Earth Kingdom and the outskirts of the Fire Nation did not prepare Amir for being able to do with harsh temperatures, his body was made to endure the humidity and heat of the land he lived in. He hugged his arms, shivering slightly, as Soraya ran back into the water and began to swim toward the young children who all were staring at Amir with wide green eyes. He sighed and reached down to get his tunic so he could put it back on and go back to the encampment so he would not risk death anymore.
"Well, it felt like I was going to die anyways." he replied in a know it all tone, clearly very upset that Raine was not letting him exaggerate the fact that he had survived a fall from the cliff into the water. Frowning, he held his tunic in his arms in a futile attempt to make them warm up. He had just survived a fall from a cliff, dammit, and he was going to exaggerate it as much as he could to make him sound better when he told the story to all of the village girls.
As Raine asked him if he wanted to have her teach him how to swim, he wrinkled up his noise in disgust. If he was going to learn how to swim, it was not going to be from a girl, especially the girl he liked. Sighing, Amir pondered the issue. On one hand, learning how to swim from a girl would make him look very weak and make him seem like he was not able to take care of himself, on the other hand, learning to swim would be very useful and maybe it would get Raine to like him even more. It was a simple matter in his mind, he would allow Raine to teach him to swim.
"Fine." the acrobat said simply and he began to walk toward the water though when some of it lapped onto the beach, he jumped back, not really wanted to go in the water after what had happened.
