Raine shaded in a few spots here and there, and lightened a few parts with her white charcoal stick, being careful not to smudge any thing that could mess up her drawing. She scratched her head and blew on her paper making a lot of little bits charcoal fly on to the ground.
Raine’s eyes scanned her almost completed sketch. It had turned out far better than she had expected, so she was actually quite proud of it. Raine continued drawing but soon heard a few foot steps on the frosty ground close to her. She raised her head and her view changed from her drawing to Nakamura. Raine smiled at him and waved, the charcoal still in her hand, and then got back to her drawing not wanting to bother him any longer than she had already had.

He smiled nervously and waved back, but kept moving on. As he walked back towards the edge of town, he made certain to keep a look out for an interesting spot to practice.
Nothing much.
He reached the end of the town, and went beyond it a little. Practice time.
He bended some ice into water, and then made it into a cube.
Triangle. Trapezoid. Globe. All sorts of shapes. He then turned it into steam, and it swirled around him. He changed it back into ice, and made that into different shapes.
As he kept training, he slowly became aware that he was bending better than yesterday. Why was it that whenever he neeed to bend, it was worse? He sighed, and continued practicing, a look of grim determination on his face.

Raine finished her charcoal sketch and closed her note/ sketch pad…. what ever you want to call it. She walked through town and saw different sights on the way.
Raine walked on to a raft that the Northern Water Tribe used for taking people places using their water ways and channels. Raine sat down and the young man, maybe around the age of twenty or a little younger, controlling the raft started water bending and moved the raft. “So where would you like to venture? Any where you like to go in particular, Miss?” He asked Raine. Raine smiled, “No, I’m just…” Raine’s voice trailed off. “Enough said,” The man smiled as he moved the raft to turn it. Raine looked up to the man. In Raine’s eyes he was very attractive. Raine blushed and bit her bottom lip while smiling to her self as they continued on their way.

The ice bended around him, like it was fluid itself. That was what the interim Master said. You have to control the ice like it is fluid, or you haven't mastered it. For the hundredth time, he wondered why he was so good when he DIDN'T need it.
He was exausted after doing bending for so long. He sat down in the snow, and layed down, sprawling his arms away from his sides. He closed his eyes, and tried to rest a bit, before starting again. This really made him tired... he listened to what was around him.
The water rushed through the city, the ice cracked, the wind blew. It was beautiful, in it's own way. As he sat there, clouds covered the sun, as it began to snow again.

Raine lifted her head towards the sky. Bits of snow slowly and gently floated down to the earth’s surface. Raine looked to the man, “I think I’ll get off here,” She said as the boat slowed down. Raine handed the man a silver piece, “Thank you very much, Miss,” He said as Raine stepped off the raft waving to him. “Thank you,” She muttered under her breath.
Raine walked not giving a care in the world as the snow fell. Ms. Umi was at the bakery at the time and she noticed Raine walk by. “You know you should be wearing some thing warmer, Raine.” She said walking up to Raine. Raine looked over her shoulder to the elderly woman, “I know, but I’m not that cold.” Umi walked up to her and put her hand on Raine’s cheek, “What are you talking about? You’re freezing! You’ll catch a cold if you don’t get home soon.” Raine nodded, “I’ll head home now,” She waved to Umi.

Gandalan lay in the snow for some time, until he realized he was getting cold. He got up quickly, and his simple movement warmed him. He walked back towards home, simply because he had nothing else to do. He amended that... he had to work tonight in the restaurant. The only one in the whole North Pole. They served fish, fish, and more fish, but it was all delicious. Sometimes, he got to eat afterwords.
After a while, he was home. His sister laughed at him. "Getting cold, stupid? Get inside..."
He laughed. "Oh, I'm sure you would know all about that, red nose."
And it was true; His sister had a very very red nose. She threw a snowball at him, but he turned it to steam. "Not today please..."
She hmphed. "Well, you're no fun today."
He smiled sadly. "Sorry."
He went to his room, and went to sleep, resting until that night.

Raine walked in to her front door. “Honey? Is that you?” Her mother asked. “Yep, you caught,” Replied walking in to the kitchen. “Hun, I have to deliver some fish to some fish to some shops, could you help me out?” Her mother asked looking to her. Raine nodded, “Sure thing.”
Raine and her mother once again walked in to the city. Raine had a bundle of fish in her arms and so did her mother. “Ok Raine, You just drop the fish off at this stop and I’ll go a block down and we’ll meet back at the shop.” “Sounds good,” Raine said walking towards the store. Raine knocked on the door while opening it, “Hello?” She said peeking her head in, “Is anyone here?”

"Hm?"
Gandalan heard knocking. That must be the delivery that they'd told him about. He walked through the kitchen to towards the back door. The fish were already on the coals, and they looked delicious already; not even half cooked. Their smells tormented him, since he wouldn't have dinner for some time.
As he walked towards the back door, he was asked to hold something a moment while somebody put more fish on. He held the box, then set it down, apolegeticaly explaining he had to go get the order. They were fine with it, and he opened the back door.
It was Raine. "Hello..."

Raine scratched her head and shifted her weight. She looked up and it was snowing harder than before. Raine took a deep breath and let it out so she could see her breath shoot out of her mouth. Raine hummed her favorite song while tapping her foot on the cool ice ground. Raine looked up, "Hey Nakamura," She smiled," I didn't know you worked here." She said slightly holding up the fish, "Did you or some on here order some fish?....Because if you didn't....this would be really embarrassing…So, please tell me you did." Raine shifted her weight once again and shuffled her feet in the snow, making it crunch and melt under her feet while waiting for a answer from Nakamura. Her eyes traveled to the large bundle of fish in her arm, ‘It smells so gross!’ She screamed to her self in her mind.

He looked at her, sort of confused. "Uhm... yes... they ordered more fish." He took the bundle of fish from her.
Fish taste great when they're cooked, but smell terrible raw. That was becoming painfully obvious. "I'll be right back." he said. He walked back through the kitchen, and gave the fish to the head cook. The cook thanked him, and then he walked back out towards Raine.
The day had been lackluster, even in the restaurant. Nothing to do, almost nobody eating anything. Not very busy.
When he got to the door, he smiled. "I didn't know you did this."

Raine let go of the fish as Nakamura took it upon him self to take the fish. As he said he would return shortly, Raine slightly nodded and he went about his way in to the restaurant. Raine hugged to make her self warmer while awaiting Nakamura’s return.
Nakamura came back shortly. Raine looked over to Nakamura as he talked. Raine gave a slight grin, “I help my mother out some times. She and my father owned a fish market before my father left for the war. So now my mother and my uncle run the it and I usually help out on the deliveries…Mostly because I don’t like gutting the fish,” Raine finished off with a shivered as the memory of fish guts re-entered her mind.

Her father went off to fight? he thought. He wanted to ask about the war. He had wanted to leave after the Fire Nation had attack the North Pole but his father had not consented.
Then he thought about it again. She probably didn't want to talk about that. It might bring up bad memories.
He grinned nervously. "Yeah... fish smeel pretty bad. As for gutting them..."
He shivered. "Welcome to my LIFE. I don't have to DO it... but I have to watch."
He just then realized he would be getting off work soon. "Hey, umm..."
He wasn't good at asking these things. Especially of girls. Even if he didn't actually want to "date" them. He just wasn't good at it.
"Do you want to do something later? I'm off in about 10 minutes..."

Raine smiled at Nakamura’s question, “Sure, I don’t have any thing planned for the rest of the day any ways,” Raine said to Nakamura, “Oh, but I do have to deliver some more fish at one other shop.” Raine looked to her mother coming back from her deliveries with another arm full of fish, wrapped in cloth, for her and Raine, “ I’ll tell you what,” Raine started as she looked over to Nakamura, “I’ll be back in ten minutes, See ya!” Raine waved running over to her mother.
Raine and her mother walked in silence until her mother broke it, “So?” Raine looked at her, “So, what?” “Who was the boy?” Her mother said nudging her. “Mother, he’s just a friend and we’re going to go hang out,” Raine explained. “Oh, so you two are going on a date!” He more gasped. Raine sighed as her and her mother went different ways,” I’ll be home later,” Raine waved. “Take your time,” Raine’s mother chuckled.
Raine made her delivery and was on her way to meet Nakamura.

As Raine walked away, Nakamura couldn't help but think he'd made the wrong decision.
What if she thinks that I like her? What if SHE likes me? What if her mom starts bothering me in public? Oh no... what if MY MOM starts bothering me in public???
So many questions. So few answers.
As he completed his last task (cleaning the last few dishes), his boss came over. "Hey, Naka, nice work tonight. Here."
He handed him the usual wage. Nakamura smiled. "Thanks, sir."
His boss smiled. "See you tommorrow?"
"Yeah!"
"Good then. Bye!"
Nakmura left out the door, to see Raine walking back towards the restaurant.

Raine kicked some snow up in to the air and walked in to it while humming a tune she used to play and sing. ‘Mom is so weird. I CAN NOT believe she said that. Me and Nakamura? Come on, we are just friends, but noooo....’Raine sighed, ‘I do wonder what happened to Caiden though. I haven’t seen him since the last time I was with Chi-Chi. He’s probably just busy.’ Raine thought. Raine walked over to where Nakamura was standing, she stopped and looked to Nakamura, “So….what do you want to do now? You want to gut some fish?” She chuckled and teased while waiting for an answer from Nakamura.
